I have had nothing but good experiences here. I'm not the best patient and these folks have been awesome with me. Unfortunately, they are no longer in my insurance's preferred provider program so I am forced to find a new dentist. As a parting thank you for my care, I 100% recommend both Dr's. I don't even know where to start with this dentist office. They did a filling on a tooth that apparently already needed a root canal just so they could make money. Sent me home, I woke up in excruciating pain just to go back in and have them tell me that I need a root canal on the tooth that they just did a filling on. They then told me not to worry and they could do a root canal there. Yeah for $2000+ dollars!? This is all for one tooth keep in mind. This was in June of this year. I just got an email MONTHS later saying that I owe them almost $300!!! Fast forward 3 months and I finally got approved on the waitlist to the OHSU school of dentistry for my root canal after taking 3,000+mg of ibuprofen every day for months. Stop trying to scam people out of their hard working money please! read more

Having been to dentists a minimum of twice a year for as far back as my memory allows, I've had a LOT of experience in the chair (95% being for routine cleanings). Call me weird, but I love getting my teeth cleaned. There is definitely a HUGE range of skills, cleanliness, upkeep of equipment (for X-rays, etc.) and care shown to patients at the many different offices in many different states I've visited over the years. Prairie Dental Care is absolutely one of the best I've ever been to. All of they hygienists are extremely good (outstanding results with no pain or bleeding, no "Oops, are you OK?" after being stabbed from a slip with a sharp instrument). Prairie is also the ONLY office I've ever visited that uses warm rinse water. Even if you don't have sensitivity to cold, it is a very welcome and nice touch. The dentists are also very kind, thorough, professional, and friendly. Their precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic are particularly thorough and noteworthy, but be advised that their parking lot is their waiting room until things return to normal. I was waiting for 30 minutes past my appointment time in the hot sun, which made for a very warm and long wait (I intentionally didn't idle my car so as not to subject other patients to my car's exhaust fumes). read more

They are so cautious and following all protocols to do the best they can, and consistently give superb service. I recently went to Prairie Dental because I saw the mailer and remembered that my husband had gone there before. He really liked the staff and the dentist so I called. They got me an appointment right away. I am so glad that I went. I had been putting it off for a very long time. I am not "afraid" of dentists, but very self conscious. From the time I walked through the doors the treatment and attention that I received was great. I just wasn't expecting to be as relaxed as I was. The gals at the front desk and the hygienists were very personable and so nice. The dentist was exceptionally professional and knowledgeable and he too, was very personable and easy to talk to. Treated me horrible... My son husband and I were patients of prairie dental for 10 years. I have only gotten my teeth cleaned, X-ray and check ups. I have pretty good teeth never had anything major, just fillings as a child. But the first time I had 2 old fillings replaced they couldn't get the bite right, and I couldn't chew on the right side, hot and cold was a nightmare. I went in 12 times to have the bite adjusted. But to no avail they couldn't get it right, they blamed my teeth And they wanted me to get a root canal on both teeth which was going to cost hundreds of more dollars, which I didn't do. All 3 dentists couldn't get my bite right. They decided to remove both fillings and put in temporaries, they told me to give it a few months to settle down before they put in Permanente fillings again. When it was time for me to go in to get them replaced I had pneumonia which I had for 3 months, and had to cancel my appointment a couple of times. The office people called me and threatened to send my account to collections for the $600.00, changing me for 2 permanent fillings, but wait I don't have permanent fillings I have temporaries, and the work hasn't been completed???? I stated "I'm still sick, very sick! I'm not going to pay for something that I haven't received, I've been in pain for months with 2 teeth that didn't have anything wrong with, until the fillings were changed by your dentist, fillings that your dentist can't fix.!!! When I'm well we can try to fix them again but there is nothing I can do now while I'm sick." The woman insisted I pay the bill now, she didn't care that I was sick, under strict doctors orders to stay in bed. She became even more rude, threatened me some more, and called me a liar! So, when I got better, I went to another dentist who replaced both fillings, it took him 1 time to get the bite right. And actually it was $200.00 cheaper. My teeth don't hurt, I can eat hot and cold and chew on that side again. Most importantly, I didn't need a costly and painful root canal.... It's a shame they lost not 1 but 3, good paying cash patients over $600.00 that have been going there for 10 years. I thought about taking them to court for all the pain and suffering over many months, plus lost time from work plus the bill from the new dentist. But, I decided just to pay them for their incompetence, and miss diagnosis and work that had not been completed. They treated me like I was a criminal, and lack of compassion for all of the pain THEY caused me. I nor any of my family will ever go back. read more

The office was clean receptionist were OK. The dental hygienist was very knowledgeable and friendly she educated me on a lot of things the dentist was also friendly professional. I did have to wait a long time to be seen in between the cleaning and the dentist looking at my teeth but the chair was comfortable and the temperature in the room was comfortable so I didn't mind overall was a good experience. read more

Next thing, a sleezy process server is at my door pretending that I had a package delivery. They sent the bill to an adress 2 Houses ago. I have purchased two homes since then. Rubano and her team replaced TWO bridges comprised of 6 teeth in the very front of my mouth. This kind of a thing is a big deal as they are what EVERYONE sees when I smile....... Finally found a great dental office!!! I had two appointments with Dr. Jill Rubano; cleaning and filling. I has been 4ish years since I seen a dentist because I am rather nervous about the sounds of the office...and lets face it, drills in your mouth is not fun! However, from the moment I stepped in the office EVERYONE was fantastic and really put me at ease! The receptionist was funny and calmed me right away. I was handed and iPad instead of pen and paper while I sipped on coffee in the waiting room. I was guided in the back offices to a spacious, clean, friendly environment with a view of nice landscaping where the dental assistance was witty and warming. The conversation was effortless and brilliant...as we chatted she was informative on what was going to happen during the visit and added her own personal charm. A skill, in my experience, is lacking in most dental offices. The visit continued with the dental hygienist cleaning my teeth and she was gentle too!! She and the assistant chatted making the visit not eerie quite that make you just think about the drilling sound in your mouth. Both women talked about difference options on my questions, for example. I asked about teeth whiting, they were informative but not pushy! Dr. Jill Rubano then came into the office and explained I had a cavity (bummer) and what was needed to help resolve the problem. I was able to ask all my questions and never felt she was rushing me. I then was lead back to the receptionist office, given a warm goodbye by the assistance. The receptionist gave me the a very reasonable estimate for my filling and help schedule an appointment. The times available were great, as I work full-time, the 7AM was perfect! I then made an appointment for a family member too because I enjoy the office so much! The next appointment was again a repeat of the fantastic service and welcoming I was shown the first time. The one things that stood out was I NEVER noticed the needle to numb my tooth!! Dr. Jill had a light conversation going and a vibrating thing in my mouth, ever felt a thing!!!! (Whew!! By far the worse part of going to the dentist for me!!) The cost was right on the same estimate; no surprise up charge! They even offered an iPad and music while they drilled to help me calm down. Amazing customer service and I truly felt they cared about me, the patient! The entire staff at Prairie Dental Care is WONDERFUL!! If you are scared of the dentist this is the one place I would recommend...and have already recommended to two coworkers and family members. A+++ Best Dental Office I have EVER been to! Took son here for a couple cavities. They billed my insurance for over $900. Insurance refused and paid over $500 as reasonable. They then sued me for the remainder. My family and I have been going here since we moved to Vancouver back in 1997. Our experience the first time hooked us! The hygienists are genuinely friendly and talkative; they take an interest in your life and what is new. Dr. Warren followed my progress in school from 1st grade all the way through college. He also knew what we talked about last time and always said he was very proud of me. He is a wonderful dentist and considerate and sweet person. The service is excellent! I think most people dread going to the dentist, but I absolutely love it! I get excited going cause I know I will have a wonderful experience. I also love the early hours because I have to be to work by 9, so I can get early appointments. Plus, going to the dentist starts my day off right and I am pretty cheerful when I go to work. Great care! I was happy to hear they had Saturday appointments so I didn't have to miss work. Took all 3 of my kids for their cleaning and exam. We were called back within 10 minutes of arrival. Had tea, coffee, or even hot cider while you waited. They were great with my kids. Explained what they were doing and why they were doing it. Taught my kids how to brush and floss properly. Patient for 7 years, given them lots of business. Called yesterday to setup appointment. Came in this morning doctor said no problem would be right in to fix me up. Then front staff came back told me that I had to pay my entire balance on my account before they could do anything. Wasn't told when I made the appointment the day before. What a waste of my time, and money to drive up there and sit and wait an hour to be told they wouldn't do any work. When it all could have been resolved over the phone the day before when I called to make an appointment. Talk about lack of customer service. Says right on there website smile now pay later. Ever person I interacted with introduced themselves and struck up a conversation. My dental hygienist was so sweet and very informative. I returned this week for a root canal with Dr. Smith and I was VERY nervous. All the staff put me at ease. Besides the initial shots for numbing I felt no pain at all. They even sent me to the dental lad to get my crown to perfectly match my other teeth. When leaving the office they were great about setting up a payment plan.
