Cannot say enough about Jennifer and her individual care and love for every animal! I've had two rescues, one being a mill dog. He was absolutely terrified as a 6 year old getting groomed for the first time. Jennifer was very patient and attentive and took the time to make him comfortable (even letting me stay by him during his first grooming). My newest rescue, also a scared pup, loves her and won't leave her shoulder the whole time he's there. She really cares about each dog and it is clear she LOVES what she does. I have taken my furry kid Dexter to Jennifer twice to get groomed and she will be my dog groomer for life! She does an amazing job not only with my little westies' hair cut but she also really loves and cares for the dogs that come in. Dexter has looked better than after going here than he has at any other groomer. His haircut was perfect and he looked so adorable. I have never met anyone with more love for animals than her and you can tell that she really loves her job not to mention every dog that comes in to get groomed. I would and do recommend Praise the Paw to anyone and everyone because you know you are going to get not only a great dog grooming service but also your furry kid is going to come out a very happy spoiled dog too! Jennifer does a great job grooming our 14 year old yellow lab. She gets the 5 stars for the extra care that she takes looking out for our older dogs health issues. She is gentle with Roxy and makes sure that Roxie gets help climbing up any steps. Roxie is usually stressed when getting groomed. Not the case with Jennifer. She comes through the process in a lot calmer manner when being groomed by Jennifer. read more

Jennifer is AMAZING! She is responsive, professional and great with dogs. My little puppy HATES having his nails trimmed. Another groomer was unable to even clip one nail, so we went to Praise the Paw. It was the best decision! I am new to town and booked an appt here for my 2 Westies based on the glowing reviews. Heads up....Jennifer is not the only one here doing the grooming!! Everything seemed great when I left the shop- after dropping $144. My 9 year old female Lucy spent the car ride home gnawing at all 4 paws. When I got to my apt she wouldn't walk and would only sit and chew on her feet. I had to carry her inside where she continued gnawing between her paw pads to the point of drawing a bit of blood which was on the fur around her mouth. After communicating with Jennifer several times I was told Lucy had matting on her paws which they had to cut out. I was very close to taking her to the vet as she distressed, would not walk and was not herself. Lucy has been groomed several times a year for 9 years and I have never had this problem. If there was a matting issue with her paws I would think that a groomer would communicate that when I picked her up. Instead I was left with a sweet dog that was very uncomfortable and I end getting attitude about it because I was trying to figure it out and help my dog. It was very upsetting, pretty sure I never heard an apology and I suggest you think twice! Plenty of groomers in this town to pick from!! read more

They came in a stinky mess and came out happy and looking great. She even watched them for an extra 45 minutes because I couldn't pick them up right away. The staff here is amazing. We came for a walk-in nail trim for our dachshund and everyone was so warm and kind. They greeted us right away, squeezed our pup in for a pawdicure, treated him to an animal cookie and $10 later we were on our way. There's an office kitty up front that was very friendly as well. Jennifer is absolutely fantastic. Cage free environment for the dogs allows them to be totally comfortable in their environment pre and post grooming. Our dog had knee surgery in January so we have been very hesitant to leave her with anyone during her recovery period. Unfortunately she had developed some tangles and knots that would need to be dealt with by a professional. Jennifer is attentive to the dogs needs and an absolute artist at dealing with difficult grooming issues. My hyper Aussie was so calm that she was sleeping on a provided dog bed when I arrived to pick her up. Prices are fantastic for the service provided. I absolutely love taking my 10 year old pup Dublin to Jennifer. Her cage free loving environment is like no other. Dublin used to fear going to get groomed and now she actually enjoys it. I usually don't leave reviews about my personal experiences whether it be good or bad, but after reading the reviews here I feel that I should. I don't understand why people give this place such high reviews. First off, when I picked up my dog, he wasn't fully dry. His hair was cut uneven all throughout (realized this when I came home dried him off myself as well as trimmed his hair to make it look more even). His sanitary trim looks like it took the groomer like 2 secs- definitely a sloppy job. It's the worst I've ever seen on my dog. His face and ears look like the groomer didn't even bother. The ONLY reason why I tried this place is because of the reviews I saw here on yelp and his regular groomer is states away. When you give the groomer the option to get creative with the grooming, groomers usually do- but my dog's hair look boring at best. Also, the groomer wasn't too familiar with the length certain dogs need to be maintained at because of insulation and other health issues. The other dogs that were there looked as if they had GREAT haircuts, so I don't understand why mine looked like I can do better; (I can't even cut paper in a straight line). Also the pricing was a little too high for the cut he received. My dog is about 8-10 pounds, he gets brushed regularly and he even got a bath exactly 3 days prior to this visit (so I KNOW he wasn't smelly or dirty). Which leads me to believe that they do not have a standard as to how they price their services- but just according to size and what they feel like. The only thing I can think of as to why they did such a bad job is that I was a walk-in so they may have rushed on my dog. But their website even stresses how they take their time with the dogs so if they didn't want/or have time to take my dog in they could have said no and I would've taken him elsewhere or made an appointment for when they are available. Other than that, the staff were really friendly. The shop itself was very cute. I MAY take him back just to give them another try, but I definitely don't think they deserve 5 stars. Love this place and so does our dog! This place is the only groomers in town that our pup doesn't completely freak out at. It's small and she usually only does one dog at a time so it's not overwhelming for the little guy. She does an exceptional job on his hair cut and is very quick. read more

Taking my sweet girl to the groomers has always been a traumatic experience for both Harper and myself. Both of us would end up crying at some point during the ordeal. Either me because she was so distraught, or her because she was so anxious. Then we found Jennifer and her team at Praise the Paw dog grooming and we will never go anywhere else! Harper was a little nervous and shaky when we arrived but Jennifer immediately made her and myself feel more at ease. I even got text updates during the process to let me know that she was doing great and to calm my nerves. When I arrived to pick Harper up she was calm, relaxed and looked beautiful, she even got a cute orange bow to match her Broncos handkerchief! We made 2 follow-up grooming appointments because we just loved the staff so much and Harper looked amazing! Mama put my dog at ease! Belle hates getting her nails trimmed, and experienced a neck injury when we took her to a place closer to home (they put her on the table with the tight neck loop around her neck) resulting in emergency vet fees (she lost use of her back legs for a period of time -- she's all better now!). We have been leery of using a place that has the tables. Mama treated my dog like her own. We held her together while her nails were trimmed. It was quick and painless and stress free! AMAZING!! My dog got groomed there for the first time today, and she looks better than she ever has coming back from the groomers. As a small dog, Daisy usually gets lost in the hustle and bustle of the bigger dogs, and loud hair dryers. Jennifer is the best groomer my little guy has ever had!! I have been to a few over the years and everytime I went to pick him up he looked like my nieces took safety scissors to him.
