Review is for their catering food truck experience! A friend hired it for her daughter's graduation party and it was awesome. It was sushi bowls and burritos. They also let me riff it up and merge the california roll bowl with spicy tuna. I appreciate that even in a food truck, they kept the temperature of the sushi really cold - great for a toasty day. It was also a good portion but it was free to guests so can't comment on the value. This experience totally makes me want to check out GC in person sometime. When we arrived we were asked if we had reservations, which we did not. The hostess explained it would be a fifteen minute wait which we didn't mind. What was odd, there was an entire area behind her with open tables. We figured the section was closed since it was later in the evening. Yet 15 minutes later we were seated in the same area. The table they placed us at was a high top that the teetered as if it was going to fall over. There was no way we were sitting there so we moved one table over. When we told our waiter he stated that he hated that table and they needed to get rid of it. The food was good, but the sushi looked like it was prepared by someone that learned how to prepare sushi online. It barely held together, it was not uniformed and the fellows preparing it did not have their beards covered and touched their faces frequently. The burgers were excellent. , the sides were average. The service was fantastic and I really like the brooding vibe. It matches the name very nicely. The place isn't trying to be something that it's not. It's a crow in the name and it's pretty dark on the inside with a nice patio area outside that's covered and shaded. The food is outstanding honestly, the burger was fantastic. One of the better ones I've ever had plus half pound of meat is very generous. I thought that the shrimp that I had was also fantastic The drinks are great, but I do wish that they would fill them up and change the measurements accordingly (perception of a full glass) The only thing I don't think is appropriate is the pricing. You can upgrade the burgers to Wagyu or bison. The bison burger was well made and huge! The truffle fries were light and crispy. Came here a few months ago for the first time and was so happy to do so! Friends of ours introduced us to the Chelsea area and brought it here for diner one night and we loved it! Their burgers are amazing! And the cocktails are really up to snuff! Will definitely come back again soon! Also their sushi rolls are fresh and delicious. We should have left when we looked at the menu. Prices are ridiculous, they don't make sense. The rolls fell apart while we tried to eat them, poorly rolled, bad sushi rice. Our daughter's side of rice came out cold. When I ask for a bowl of rice, I expect hot rice like literally any other restaurant ever. What sushi place doesn't have a rice cooker to keep it warm? Appetizers- we knew we were going to order sushi, so I needed to start with a miso soup. Can't really go wrong that. We also enjoyed an order of the truffle fries. Sushi- La Jolla, Spicy Tuna, California. The best roll was definitely La Jolla. Shrimp tempura on the inside with a different fish on top of each roll.
