Josh is very informed and good at what he does. We remodeled our kitchen, fireplace and all flooring in our house, and decided to not go w a general because we liked specific vendors. Josh was super helpful, walking us through the process and recommendations, and his tile team is amazing. His business partner and wife Lisa was wonderful as well, helping us keep on top of the process and scheduling. We were on a tight timeframe and they did everything they could to make it work and make sure it was done right. I want to be very specific with this review. Precise showers recently did a project for us which included kitchen backsplash tile install, master bath shower replacement and tiling, and master bath backsplash tile. The master bath work is top notch, with work by his subs Hugo and Pepe absolutely outstanding. Same is true for the master backsplash, a very complicated glass tile impeccably installed. The kitchen tile is beautiful, although not up to the bathroom standard because it was done mostly by a second tile team, not yet up to the "A" team standards, but ok nonetheless. Josh, the planning and sales side of the business, is very knowledgeable on the front end but hard to contact after the project is underway. He has low tolerance for changes, shows up intermittently, and in the end just wants to be done and move on. Lisa, the business end, is cordial, but has a very short fuse. We had damage done to our bathroom walls during demo, which josh indicated might happen. But that damage cost us an additional $1300 to fix, using a contractor Lisa recommended and trusts. I expected a little damage, but not that much. Josh and Lisa were both offended when we asked if they would be willing to share part of the cost. Offended may be too mild a word. Belligerent might be a better word. So here's my advice if you use these guys. Pay very close attention. Get everything in writing. Expect significant resistance to changes or modifications. Anything that goes wrong will always, always be you fault. Based on other reviews, I expect a dramatic rebuttal to this review. If so, I will be happy to support an amazingly detailed email paper trail to support all I've said. Otherwise, let's let sleeping dogs lie. good luck everyone. Be thorough. read more

Asked this guy for a quote and mentioned that he could remove his website's image of a female tiler with the caption, "If it's laid right you can walk on it forever." Because it's offensive to those of us with daughters. He told me to shove it up my a** sideways. The woman, strangely enough, who answered the phone next was actually more insulting. You decide. Love the quality of the products and craftsmanship. Everyone was thorough and professional. We shopped around and found this local business to be the one to support. The national companies like Empire talk a good talk but, in the end, the customer helps pay for all of the marketing. We decided to invest in a local business and we are very happy with the results. Awesome experience! I have a 120 sq ft room that needed the carpet replaced. Cost was a concern and needed to keep it minimal with a quick turnaround time. Josh instructed me to go to his flooring wholesaler where I got a good quality 12' x 13' remnant for cheap (like super cheap!). The old carpet had some odor that may have saturated the sub-floor so Josh advised me how to prep my floor before hand by scrubbing it clean and then putting down sealant. This morning they laid the carpet and were in and out in less than an hour! I saved additional cash by picking up the new carpeting myself and removing the old from the room. I've already recommended him to a neighbor who needs some flooring work. I highly recommend Josh and his team to you! Thanks Josh! read more

Super long story short, we had a flood... lost new wood floors, cabinets, countertop and drywall. I had never gone through anything like this. Josh was soooo amazing. Several months ago we decided to put in new floors, showers, fireplaces and paint our house. Josh at Precise Flooring was referred to us to do the demo work. Josh then referred a painter and also a guy to install new baseboards. Josh also wanted us to pay to use his wife to consult on design and coordinate the workers. My wife is a great designer and decorator so we declined this service. Next they wanted us to buy the tile through their business, which we also declined. There was nothing that we liked. During this whole process I got my first interaction with Lisa, who is Josh's wife and runs the makeshift office. She did not seem happy that we declined her services...not a nice phone call! We hired his painter, Lester at Sur Cal Coatings, to paint the inside of the house, the California blinds, the doors, the kitchen cabinets, repair drywall and texture, and the outside of the house. The attention to detail by the painters was very poor to say the least. We spent hours painting spots and scraping paint off tile the wasn't taped. The blinds were done very poorly, we can still spots of primer! We had to hire another drywaller to retexture several spots on the ceilings and walls that just looked terrible. When we asked Lester to do better, he said he tried and he was done!!?? So when the baseboards were installed by Josh's other guy, Gerardo, they actually looked pretty good except for a couple of spots. A couple of months later just about every corner and joint in the entire house has separated badly. We decided to call Josh to find a resolution. At this point I called the office and talked to Lisa. I have never talked to a business owner who was as hostile and rude as this woman. She would not listen to anything I had to say and just talked louder and faster so I could not speak. Very bizarre behavior for someone who owns a business. I would definitely not have her as a customer service person for my business. All we wanted was to have some cracks repaired and now we feel like we are the enemy. Stay away!!! read more

If you're thinking about using this company, RUN! They originally quoted me one price and then it ended up being excessively more expensive. Not to mention the final product was extremely shoddy. The tiles were all crooked, completely uneven, my 3 year old could have done a better job. I don't like writing reviews like this but this was an important project I wanted to get done and I feel like I got ripped off. To top it all off their Customer Service is so poor, you have to call multiple times just to get someone on the phone and when you finally do they are beyond rude and unhelpful. read more

We hired Josh for another major project recently and once again he and his crew did an amazing job! He was able to find the tile we wanted at a substantially lower price than what we had been quoted, and drove quite a distance to pick it up for us. We asked him to remove and replace our kitchen backsplash, fireplace surround, and all the tile on our first floor, which covers almost the entire downstairs. We trusted him to do this huge job while we were away on vacation, and he e-mailed us photos and updates so we could keep track of the progress along the way. His crew ran into (and fixed) some unexpected problems, including mesh, vinyl, and cracks on the slab beneath the old tile, but in spite of those issues, was able to complete the floors by the time we got home, 10 days later. As with the other jobs Josh has done for us, the workmanship is outstanding; I can't express how happy we are with the results!
