How this business got all the 5 star reviews is a mystery to me. I scheduled an appointment with them to get an estimate to repair multiple appliances that had been fried from power surges. Received a window for the next day between 9-12. Tech arrived at 12:15. He diagnosed the problems and told me he would have to get back to me with an estimate as he needed to find the exact cost of the parts and that I would have the estimate by 5:00pm that day. No estimate came. Called the office at 9:00 and was told they would have the tech contact me right away. When noon rolled around and no response I called the office again. This time no one answered so I left a message. They obviously received it as shortly thereafter I got a text with some excuses but telling me it was being prepared and he would send it ASAP. Again, received nothing. I effectively wasted an entire day waiting for an estimate that never came. Now I have to start all over again with a different company. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Totally useless. read more

Always get a 2nd bid. I scheduled Precision Appliance Repair to do a diagnostic service call on a refrigerator and a gas dryer at a rental house. They never followed up after the service call. I had to call them two days later to get an update and a quote for the repairs. Received a repair estimate for a total of $1036.11 to install a new "thermal kit" in the refrigerator at a part cost of $541.12 plus 20% mark up, plus shipping. $329.00 for labor. Unknown repairs to gas dryer. I called another repair company that diagnosed the dryer not heating was due to a clogged vent. Diagnosed the refrigerator for a fan replacement of $145 for parts and $150 for labor. Total cost $350. Precision Appliance also charged $129 for the service call which is higher than most companies. read more

Three visits 2 different parts and still no working dryer. I questioned the first repair because what he said did not make sense and my dryer would work in other modes - just not in the timed cycle. Also, I knew that part didn't work for 2 years and told the repair person that. He brushed me off and told me I was wrong. So, he replaced the part and it still didn't work. He came back, said he needed to replace the timer (which I said earlier). He argued with me about the need of the first replaced part. Never apologized for not fixing it the first time. He said he had to order the part. So, we are on the third visit. Replaced the timer and said it was fixed. All the time he argued with me about how he had to replace the first part anyway. He said if this didn't work, he would refund all of my money. Dryer still stopped mid cycle. I called him and requested a refund. He said he would come out and get the parts and refund my money. He came and took the parts and then told me that he would refund all my money EXCEPT the $129 for the diagnostic call. I reminded him that he said all my money would be refunded and again, he was arguing with me about the whole situation. Never once apologized for not fixing it. He even argued with me about how much dryers cost al lowes. He seemed more interested in being right than in actually doing a good job. read more

Last June we had Precision come out to repair our under-counter icemaker. The repair required a new circulator pump, thermostat, and cleanup of calcium accumulation, not a cheap repair. Last week we had some leaking and Porfirio came out and diagnosed the problem as the circulator pump. We had a one-year warranty on parts and labor from last year. So with approximately two weeks remaining on the warranty Porfirio had us back up and running in a week. As a jaded customer of many businesses I expected some backtracking on the warranty but Precision and Porfirio renewed my faith in honest business practices. Thank y'all. read more

Our LG Dryer drum locked up after a few days of squeaking. We called Precision on Tuesday, they came out Wednesday morning and completed the repair without delay. Very efficient as they had the necessary replacement parts on their truck. Great job. One of the best, if not the best appliance repairs we have ever had. read more

Due to a neighbor's GE Monogram refrigerator flooding their home we had Precision Appliance (Porfirio) spend many hours replacing nearly all of the mechanical parts to our GE last Febtuary. We paid $4,786 and received a 3 year waranty for some comfort. In October the replaced parts failed and again Porfirio spent many hours replacing all that he had done previously. He could not bring the equipment to work. We learned that about 10 years ago GE sold this appliance division to Haier a very large Chinese multinational corporation and the parts were not reliable. We were assured by Jason (Precision's owner) that the waranty would be honored, but that payment from their waranty insurer would take 4 to 8 weeks. Although we did not have any claim against their 3rd party insurer we, as a courtesy, agreed to wait. Around mid December Jason informed us that their claim for insurance recovery had been denied. We informed him that while that was unfortunate it should not be our problem. After much back and forth Jason offered to reimburse us only $2,288. We refused that "offer" and that if we were not fully returned what we had paid in February, 2025 we would seek legal assitance. A week or so later Jason increased his settlement offer to $3,750 or about 78% of the $4,786 we had paid and we reluctantly agreed. Jason, Porfirio and another couple of Precision representatives were all very professional and courtious. My whole issue is that a "waranty" is only as solid as whoever provides it and Precision did not have the capacity to back theirs with us up. Customer be warned. Also stay away from GE Monogram refrigerators. They are unreliable. read more

God works in mysterious ways! I literally had the worst experience with this company. Last Sunday, I used Google at my vacation home and called the appliance repair company, not knowing it was the same company I had sworn I would never use again. As luck would have it, I called, and they made arrangements for the next day between 1 and 4 pm. I received a call, and the tech was on his way. We exchanged the lock box codes and the alarm info, and he took care of everything at the house to give me an estimate. Not only did he give me an estimate, he went even further to recommend that I not fix the fridge due to age, since it was 10 years old and the cost of repair would be over $1,000 he said NO CHARGE today, just let my boss know I took care of you! Seriously, they came through like a champ! I put them in my phone so I could remember to call this company again. I confess to having put a heavy item in our washing machine and realizing there could be consequences. Sure enough, the blanket looked like a giant Dutch baby pancake out flat and the agitator was nowhere to be seen. I pulled the poor agitator out of the maelstrom and realized I would need Donald Trump's teeny tiny hands to insert the screw and washer back in to the assembly. I called PRECISION APPLIANCE REPAIR to get the icemaker in my Kenmore refrigerator fixed. JONATHAN MEZA came promptly the next day. He fixed the icemaker so easily that he didn't want to even charge me even though he had driven to my house. However, it occurred to me to ask him about another different problem with our disposal not working at the same time as our hot water dispenser on the kitchen sink. He doesn't work with either of those items, but he took a look under the sink and figured out that I needed to buy a Trond Multiplug Outlet Extender. I'm 82 years old and don't always know how to do things. He showed me how to order what I needed, I ordered it on Amazon and it came the next morning. My Viking Oven quit working so I found this company online. Called and they sent out a repair person. He was supposed to arrive between 10 and 2, didn't get there until after 4 in the afternoon. (No call saying they'd be late) Looked at my Viking Range for about 5 minutes, got the serial number and said he would see about ordering parts and get back to us either that evening or the next day with a quote for parts and repair. Never heard from them.Since we never heard from them I called them about a week later and the woman I spoke with said she would have the repairman that was at our house call me back that day....still haven't heard from him. I have many questions about this business, they apparently have many different phone numbers when you look them up on-line. Are these individual repair people that use the same business name? Why is there no central phone number? I'm so disappointed as the reviews on Yelp are all pretty good. NOT my experience at all! read more

Our Viking oven stopped heating. Called Precision Appliance and Porfirio can out to assess it and found a "fried" circuit board. He could not have been nicer and explained everything, immediately ordered the new part, explained the billing (which was very fair). Remarkable is the onle word that keeps coming to mind, over and over again, abotu these folks. These are talented and very fine people. As honest and knowledgeable and polite and even kind. I have actually passed their name on to Pacific Sales to recomend to their customers. We recently had a complicated and stunning Thermador oven installed on PS. Our wonderful sales person at Pacific sales is who you should buy all of your appliances from. The only problem was that when I went to use the oven the next day, it did not work. After a few hours that evening I learned it was in Demo mode. THAT took a few more hours to figure out how to fix. However, once out of demo mode, the lower oven still did not work at all. We headed back to Los Angeles for a few days. There was a long power outage in our Palm Springs area that weekend, and when we arrived back in PS on monday morning, all the kitchen clocks needed reseting, AND the oven worked! Perfectly---and man Thermador makes terrific appliances. In the middle of all of this, the earliest that Thermador could send someone was over two weeks from the time it was installed! In desperation I decided to hire my own technician. Came here to yelp, read the reviews, and hired these guys. Called them on a friday and they were there at 9am on monday.. They called when they were 15 minutes out. When they arrived and I told them the story, and yes, I offered to pay them anyhow, they insisted on coming in and checking it out. Turns out things were now working perfectly, so their was no need for them. Well, we also had a small problem with a dryer. They checked it out, and for good measure he took a look at one of our washers and made a recomendation of the most relaible one to buy when this one died. The guys who came are brothers. And what a family is all I can say. Jayson wrote the name if the best model washer on the back of his card and I offered to pay them for their time, and they would not accept. They said it was because everything was working fine. But what about their time, their expertise and knowledge? I got wondeful service. I got service even better than the manufactorer provides! Took off work to have my refrigerator looked at and the technician called me to "Talk" me through the repair. Then when I told him the problem he came over and quickly tried to dismiss doing the work because he said it would be expensive. He never once looked up a part or made a phone call. He did everything he could to get out of the house and not do the work. Even when I told him the money was not an issue (I'm a doctor), he still said it would be too much. Then he said he would look up the part and text me back that day. I knew that was bullshit because he didn't even look at the model number. Needless to say I received no text from him.
