He diagnosed the problems and told me he would have to get back to me with an estimate as he needed to find the exact cost of the parts and that I would have the estimate by 5:00pm that day. No estimate came. Called the office at 9:00 and was told they would have the tech contact me right away. When noon rolled around and no response I called the office again. This time no one answered so I left a message. They obviously received it as shortly thereafter I got a text with some excuses but telling me it was being prepared and he would send it ASAP. Again, received nothing. I effectively wasted an entire day waiting for an estimate that never came. Now I have to start all over again with a different company. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Totally useless.

They billed the insurance for the part, never installed it (!!!) and our icemaker was never fixed and they closed the case with the home warranty. Took our $190 Service call fee, and the money for the part from the warranty company and never did the work! The tech came to our house, acted super cocky and arrogant like it was our fault that the icemaker wasn't working and treated us like we were idiots. (We had literally just purchased the home and had no idea why it wasn't working.) When he pulled the ice maker out, he scratched the limestone floor noticeably, and then said that we "should have had cardboard underneath it". We never even complained about this. We were super patient while he spoke condescendingly and irritatingly with us and when he left, my husband and I just looked at each other, shocked. Weeks and weeks passed then we were told that it was the warranty's fault that they were dragging their feet about getting the right compressor part and then he came back out and said it wasn't the right part. At that point, I told him to please ask the warranty to just replace it with a cheap icemaker because he kept telling us how expensive the icemaker was that had been installed. I said I don't want a fancy expensive icemaker please just ask them to replace it with a simple one so we can get on with things. Then on June 24 I got a message that the case had been closed on the First American Home Warranty side! I called Appliance Repair Experts to have some sort of follow through and to ask why the case was closed when nothing was resolved and I have not received an answer. Spent an hour on the phone today with First American Home Warranty who then told me I would need to open a new case for another $190 if I want our icemaker to be serviced. We paid thousands of dollars for this warranty. What a croc on both sides! I will gladly take this post down if the tech comes out, acts a little more kindly and actually fixes the icemaker, but until then total crooks!!!! You can see that I typically only leave glowing reviews for people, I am not a vindictive or cranky person, but this was absolutely nuts. Oh! My husband just reminded me that we also paid an additional hundred dollars for him to look at our dishwasher and he told us to to put bacon grease in it to fix it!! The upper (dryer) section, failed to turn on upon delivery. I went and double-checked and tested the 240v outlet after their 'installation specialist' said the outlet wasn't wired properly. He's a momma's-boy delivery slave, and I'm an electrician. ANYWAY, they argued the point but agreed to take the unit back to their shop and 'look it over.' The homeowners never heard back from them after two months of leaving messages and voice mails. I took the homeowners to Lowe's, and we bought a brand new stackable unit - and guess what? When we plugged it in to my supposedly 'defective outlet,' everything WORKED! I waited over a year to post this review in hopes JC Appliance would reach out and try somehow to make this right. They still have the machine to this day, and my homeowners never got their money back. Where I come from, this is known as LARCENY. Shame on you JC! Unfortunately they did not. I own a small property management company and am a full time resident of the City of Indio. I had this company replace our broken double oven with one of their $1350 certified models three days prior to Thanksgiving since they say they tested their product and it worked. the following day it showed an error message so (DAVID, great guy so far) said to reset the breaker which we did. Unfortunately, nothing. Our guest were unable to make their thanksgiving dinner at the home and I requested JC appliances remove their default product since we had to pay our guest $1000 refund for the inconvenience. Now, JC appliance owner (Female, UNK name) refuses to give us our money since their invoice states no refunds (Which I did not sign as requested on the invoice and makes the contract void). regardless it has been almost 4 weeks the company will not respond to me, has not mailed me anything other then a short answer of you get store credit. The female owner also had the gall to tell me that i took a gamble buying one of their products since its a 50/50 chance since its used 8D.. wow! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM UNLESS ITS BRAND NEW. Now we have to go to small claims. Sad for a local small business who can not help other local small businesses and have to scam people.
