I can't begin to say how impressed I am with this shop. My wife and I are from the midwest and are unfamiliar with where to go or who to trust when it comes to mechanics. Yes-Yes I know.....go here...don't go here. Everyone has a spot that they prefer or don't. Well I'm here to tell you from an unbiased person from out of state. This place is the bee's knees! I'm not saying but I'm just saying that the people in the midwest are a bit nicer and forgiving then the East Coast. Not that people here are bad but there's a certain way about the midwest that makes you feel all warm and welcome. If you've ever been to Wisconsin then you know what I mean....especially Waupun where my wife is from. Precision Auto has that! I work down the road and have got my car serviced here for the past 8 months. Oil changes, tires, headlights, tuneups....you name it. Anyways, I usually drop my car off in the morning on my way into work and they give me a ride TO work. Yeah.....no kidding. How cool is that? AND they pick me up when I need them to....for FREE! Also, I got a call a few days after our car was in and they left a message. Know what it said? "We just wanted to check in on you and say thanks for coming in." How awesome is that? I am so impressed with the team at Precision Auto. I've been taking our vehicles to Andy, Bud, Memo and Steve for several years, and the customer service they provide is simply outstanding. In comparison with dealer service departments, they are heads above the rest. I've had significant issues at times with my car. In one instance, they recommended that I have a second opinion because they wanted to make sure that their assessment was correct. Just suggesting this course of action to me showed me that they cared enough about my satisfaction that they were willing to risk the job so that I'd be in good shape. I was floored, but at the same time, incredibly impressed with them. Their rates are reasonable; they let me know in advance their estimates for repair; and they deliver on their promises. I have NEVER had to return to the shop for further repairs after receiving my cars back because they don't make mistakes. Pure and simple. In my opinion, other independent repair and service shops are hard pressed to come even close to the quality and care that Precision Auto provides. read more

Great experience! I ended up here this week after my appointment at a dealer fell thru at the last minute. Precision was able to fit me in the same day and had a rental available for me even though I had never been a customer before. When you see all of the comments here regarding the high level of customer service that Precision provides, they are not exaggerations. I have lived in this area for 30+ years and have never had this level of customer service at any repair shop. Everybody--from the front desk to the managers went out of their way to make you feel welcomed and appreciated. The written estimate and accompanying pictures was unlike anything I have previously experienced. They went a long way to make me feel comfortable with the repair and service I was paying for. Bud worked with me over the phone and through numerous txts to make sure we were on the same page regarding repair costs and to make sure I was satisfied. If I could give 10 stars I would! This is my first time going to Precision Auto and I'm always nervous taking my car to a new service center. I needed to have winter tires mounted and balanced on my new car. I asked them to be careful with my rims as they have a large offset and are pricey to repair or replace. Bud and his team took the extra care needed, sent me photos before service, and even cleaned up the wheels and calipers when they were done. When I picked up the car, Bud explained what they had to do to protect my wheels and he really put my mind at ease. Precision Auto has definitely earned my trust and business. Bud and his team should be proud of the service they offer as this was honestly the best service I've ever received for my vehicle, including service at the dealer. Job well done as always! I have been bringing mine and my husband's car(s) here for years. The shop is very convenient, clean, and the customer service is amazing! Every time I call, Andy is able to tell me if they can help me and just what to expect in regards to time to get parts/fix the car. Thanks for all your help Andy!! We have had 3 different car makes and they have been very knowledgeable about all of them. We have never had to take a car back for an issue already worked on. I have gotten rides to and from work when dropping off my car, and recently had text messages to let me know when my car was ready for me to come get it with a link to check out what had been done, what needed to be done, and even pictures! Andy and the guys at Precision Auto were friendly, fast, and an incredible help. My car's engine overheated while I was driving from Arlington to Pittsburgh, and AAA towed me to Precision Auto around midnight. I booked a hotel and got a call from Andy first thing the next morning -- literally within fifteen minutes of the shop opening up. By noon they had a thorough assessment of the damage to my car, an estimate of the repair costs, and an honest prognosis for the car. The car was old and the damage was too extensive to move forward with repairs, but the assessment was so quick that I was able to rent a car and get home within twenty-four hours of breaking down. They even provided a free shuttle to the car rental agency. The assessment came at a fair price, too. I couldn't have asked for better service. read more

My only regret is that I didn't use Precision sooner. After having my tires replaced at a nearby tire store (not the best) I noticed noise in the back of my car and vibration from the front. I took my car to Precision and it didn't take long for Bud and Andy to solve the problem: the other shop left stickers on the rear tires and only hand tightened the front tires. I'm glad I found a competent crew at Precision that corrected a very dangerous oversight by a not-the-best tire store. In fact I was so impressed with Precision's operation (especially the option to drop and pick up my car after hours) that I took my wife's car in for service the next day. Have taken my Civic in about 2 or 3 times now, each time I got tires from tirerack shipped to Precision. They did a great job kept me up to date when the tires came in, and as they were working on my car. Steve was really nice I appreciated that he called me before doing the work which I requested, I have done this at other shops before and they never called and just started doing the work and I end up finding out after they have already completed the work that I owe a ridicilious amount of money. He also never pushed for me to get anything done that was not necessary at the time, great price and nice staff I will be recommending Precision to my friends. read more

I have been taking my car to this shop for years. Their most important quality is that they are HONEST! How many shops can you say that about. I first went to them after a local lube center told me I needed a bunch of work. I wasn't sure and a friend told me to take it over the Precision and they would tell me the truth. And they did. None of the work the lube shop wanted to do was needed. They also took the time to give me a maintenance schedule for my car and show me when those services would be due. Precision Auto now helps me plan ahead for my car and we work together. If you want honest and friendly, this is the place to go! read more

I've taken my Toyota Rav 4 to at least 3 different places for an oil change and to find out what was making a clunking sound and whether it was a problem. They all said it was fine, but nobody explained what the problem was. This time, I took my car to Precision Auto. Andy sat with me to hear the noise, and then they not only changed my oil in an efficient and timely manner, but also identified the source of the noise and explained to me what was happening and that I didn't need to worry about it. I have been using Precision Auto for several times over the past few years, with two different cars, and have always received excellent service. I greatly appreciate the online report generated and know what to ask for/expect from future visits. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. I have read a previous review about a problem with state inspection, I think the issue is that they are by the book and do not cut corner (which I greatly appreciate), they found minor issues which were quickly repaired and I was on my way. We took my fiancée's car here for the first time. They were super quick to respond to our emails and scheduling was a breeze and Maria was awesome to work with. They completed the work we requested and gave my fiancée a ride back to her place at no charge after she dropped off her car. They also looked over the entire car for any issues and provided pictures to go along with the recommendations so we could actually see exactly what they were talking about. I just moved here from California and was anxious about getting my car checked and readied for colder weather. I also had some suspicions that more work might be needed. I chose this location because it happens to be convenient to my new home. What a lucky break! The staff are friendly and efficient. They checked the car thoroughly and gave me an estimate within four hours. The repairs were completed that day and they gave me a ride home and back to the shop. I've been a very satisfied customer of Precision Auto for many years. You can count on family-style service with a diligent regard for both safety and economy. The don't replace something unless it needs replacing; though they'll give fair warning if it looks like something will need to be replaced soon. But don't worry; they flag the upcoming need in their data base so that you don't have to worry about reminding them. I took my 2005 Nissan Altima to the dealer for a service recall and I mentioned that my brakes were making noise. The dealer said I needed front and rear brakes. Since I have never trusted a dealer, I decided to take my car to Precision Auto. They did a brake inspection and told me that my front brakes did need to be replaced, which they did, but that my back brakes were fine and would probably last me another 20,000 miles or so. I am so happy to find someone honest who will save me money when they can. read more

Very good service. Explained what needed to be done and why and what possibly caused the issue. I brought my truck in on Friday evening. They checked if they could fit me in for Saturday. They had some room which was great because I was worried about the timing. Ordered new tires Saturday and they received the same day. Replaced tires and resurfaced rotors and had the truck back late Saturday. Would recommend to others! Only down side I could possibly be a problem for others is they don't accept checks. read more

I wanted to purchase some accessories for my wife's Jeep Wrangler for Christmas, and this place met/exceeded all my expectations. Not only did they order the parts quickly - they arrived in one day - they also inspected the parts before I brought in the car to make sure I wouldn't waste a trip if they were the wrong parts!
