My garage door had many issues, being extremely old and loud was the worst of it. I searched around and found Precision Door. The office staff was very helpful in setting up a time to look at my door, determine what was wrong and give me an estimate. Trey was my Technician and I am going to say he is one of the nicest people I have met. Trey took the time to explain what was going on and what it would take to fix my issue. We started off going in phases, if it was only the hardware that needed replacing then we would not have to have a new motor. It turned out the hardware was not enough to take care of how loud and creaky it sounded, so we chose a motor and Trey went to work on installing it. I was in my office when he was testing the motor and it was so quiet, that I ran out to the garage in disbelief!! It was heavenly to hear barely anything when the door opened and closed. Precision Door made the whole job from start to finish so easy for me. Trey is an outstanding, professional who knows what he is doing. He included me in on everything that he was going to be working on and detailed it out for me. Every time I open and close my garage door it makes me smile. We were unable to get into our garage as the power to our opener died and we could not get the keyed emergency release to work. I called this company at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday and they had their technician Brian at my house in an hour. Brian had to drill out the exterior emergency release cylinder only to find the attached cable had broken and was not attached to the opener release cord. Brian fished a coat hook through the cylinder hole and snagged the opener release cord saving us having to destroy the garage door. He was amazing. This company offers service on Sunday with no premium cost. I highly recommend this company for any service related to garage doors or openers. read more

Let me start with saying the installers were great and the garage door itself is nice. HOWEVER customer service and communication is terrible. A garage door replacement that was suppose to take 5 weeks from the day we ordered to the finished product took 15 weeks. They rescheduled 3 times. The first two were because they claimed they only received half the panels/they came damaged. They cancelled both of those the evening before they were supposed to go arrive early in the morning. They finally came to do the project and had the wrong materials, we paid extra for the top window panel. We then needed to reschedule for that and they made us wait another 5 and a half week. We were told they would contact us to schedule that and they did not, I needed to play phone tag as Gary would not take my calls and would tell me he would be at lunch for half the afternoon. Gary only blamed the company they got their materials from and told us he would be letting his supervisor, Alvin, know about this and would contact me about a discount for this nightmare turn around. We never heard from Gary or Alvin. I will say after the first cancellations we were told we would receive a discount but we didn't get that until they cancelled a second time and we had to tell them we never got compensated. I would rather pay more than work with them again. I wont be recommending Precision to anyone read more

I had this company come out for a tuneup after seeing a neighbor having some work done. They have coupons all the time, but don't mention the minimum fee, but in my case I ended up spending a whole lot to get a new opener that's super quiet. The old one was fine, just something I wanted and the tech had one in the truck. Offered me a military discount which was really helpful. The technician was awesome and explained things and gave me some options. I think the company is a national chain and I'd prefer to use local, but for my one time, I got great service. read more

Called Precision because my garage door was squeaking loudly. Service tech said the gears were bad in my opener motor and it needed to be replaced. But, he said he couldn't replace only the motor though, unless I bought a new garage door too, as Precision wouldn't guarantee the motor with my current wood door on our 1922 home. But, they couldn't put in a new door unless they installed all new tracks and springs. Estimate? $4,200.00. For a second opinion I called a handyman I often use. He said he greased the hinges and tracks and "it works fine now, no more squeaking." I said, "what about the motor?"He sounded perplexed and said " the motor is fine." He charged me $60.00. I was forced to add a star to be able to post this review however I wouldn't give Precision even 1 star. read more

Two men came out for free (no minimum charge) in 2019 to fix my garage door which was not operating smoothly. Together they presented me with an estimate of over a thousand dollars. When I said I could not pay that, they gave me an excuse for doing it for less, $700. I should have known better! They warned me to oil the rollers yearly. Which I did. Recently the motor started smoking. I had to schedule a replacement for the unit. The total price including installation came to less than the "repair" I received in 2019. Buyer beware. read more

My garage door seals on the bottom were very old and needed to be replaced. Also, the plastic rollers on one of the doors needed replaced. Joe from Precision came out and looked at them. Since I had a previous problem with rodents. Joe said they make a seal that has steel wool in it. It was a little bit spendy but well worth it. He gave me a 2hr window of arrival (8:00 - 10:00) but showed up at 8:00. He estimated it would take about 2 hours to complete but it was done in 1 hour. The whole process was fast and efficient. Gave me an estimate and I gave him the go-ahead. 9:45 am This morning: Work completed (fixed the connection to the chain, replaced all the old rollers with new higher quality rollers, adjusted the tracks, installed a surge protector, lubricated all the hinges). This was an easy experience with a helpful technician (Travis) who didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't want or need. Pricing was extremely reasonable. I have a broken spring on my garage door, I called the company and the next day the Tech came to take a look and give me the estimate about $700, I was really surprise. Finally I made the decision will call some other companies around and paid the $49 fees for their service. In the past i got them fixed about half price oh their quotes. I paid them the fee, and told told him to send me the invoice and the estimates, which are several options... I checked my email and got the invoice but he did not send the good faith estimate those he promised to send me by email. I just don't believe this company still around? I called some other companies gave me the estimate around $400 to $500 I just waiting for their estimates on my email....hope he will send me one.. One of the 2x4 supports that the garage door tract had split and needed to be replaced asap. At the same time I was having siding replaced. Precision came out the next morning, disassembled the garage door and tract, allowing the siding company to replace the 2x4 and build a more stable support for the tract. Precision came back that afternoon to reassemble the garage door. It cost a bit of money but I'm happy knowing I won't have to worry about it for a long time. Good job. read more
