The Palm Springs location was called to fix/replace a remote for my mother's garage door. At best the remote needed reprogramming and at worse needed to be replaced. The garage door worked fine with the wired controller in the garage. The technician told my elderly mother that the opener and springs needed to be replaced. He charged her over $2100. Such a scam and disgracefully preying on elderly. read more

Caveat emptor. Our garage door opener had ceased working. Called for a service person to give us an estimate. Although he said it was just one of the smaller springs but because of the age of the opener, He said the entire opener had to be replaced for $2800. Precision Doors completed the job installing our garage door while we were away from home. This is not something that I would recommend, but they were reliable and did an overall good job. After more than a month away and when we returned home, we had a couple problems with the initial installation, that we had not been aware of earlier. After a call to our office contacts Stephany and Janet, we were put in contact with a Field Supervisor Jose. He was very kind and listened to the issue and sent out a Service/Sales Technician, Benjamin Urbino. Wow, he was wonderful! He immediately identified and corrected the issue right away. That' was a great solution, sending Benny. He calmly listened to all of my concerns, asked a few questions, and set about his work troubleshooting the door issue and was on task to make all of the necessary adjustments. Kudos to Benny! Called to get information on a door repair. While getting a verbal rough estimate which had a large low to high dollar amount I offered to send pics to get a better idea on the price before committing. The guy on the phone just said no thanks have a good day and hung up on me. The conversation wasn't elevated or confrontational at all. Imagine that! Saturday morning error code on our garage door opener. At 12:30 p.m., Benny showed up. Wait, there's more. He identified the issue (something needed tightening) and fixed the issue. Then, he did a maintenance check and oiled a few areas. Also, Benny educated us and shared that we can call Precision every 6 months for a nominal fee. We have that in our calendar already. Had my garage door spring break this morning, which broke both cables on each side of the door and ripped my opener down. I called Precision and they had Jose Perea come out with in about 2 hours. Jose was awesome, he was professional, efficient, informative, and was great to talk to. He got right down to business and was a beast at getting the job done. After I received the quote I could not get a install time. Each time I called to set up the install I was told I canceled the quote. I told them, no I got the quote. But was told they would look into it and then call me back.They never did. It took 4 calls and at the last call I was put on hold for over 12 min. Customer service is not good. read more

Felt like I got hustled into work that wasn't needed & upcharged. Checking reasonable & customary rates after the tech left, I paid about $325.00 for a $150.00 job. The tech didn't know how to program the garage door opener and had to call for verbal instructions on the phone. read more
