So glad I found these guys! My HVAC system had a pretty bad leak and when I called the company that had originally installed it they told me they were booked out a couple of months. Called Precision based on the great reviews here and they had someone out here within two days. The office manager Jade responded to my Sunday request within an hour and was able to send the technician (Daniel) out to my house today. We had an amazing service experience with Precision. They were our second quote for an AC installation. The first guy was a total sleaze but Precision came in professional, not pushy and offered us several competitive pricing options. The day we had our AC installed was also great. Things went smoothly with the installation until the very end when they noticed water leaking in our furnace. There was rust so it was pretty obvious it had been an ongoing problem and not something related to the AC. They offered to come back anyway to do a more thorough inspection just to make sure, which happened a few days later. They provided us with a very complete assessment of the issue and we were able to take that to our furnace installer, who then replaced the furnace. They were here a week later and replaced my furnace, air conditioner and installed two mini splits all in one day. They were very responsive when we first reached out for an estimate for replacing or repairing our 20+ year old central A/C unit. The person who came out for the quote had installation and repair experience and was able to do a quick diagnostic to help us decide what to do. He was very thorough and gave us two quotes with different options. We ended up replacing our A/C and older furnace with a heat pump. They were able to schedule the job within 3 weeks. The team that did the installation was equally friendly and professional. They brought in an electrician and had a drywaller on call in case they needed to remove part of the ceiling. (They did not.) Paul and his team at Precision Air are a class act and I'll never call anyone else to touch my HVAC system again. I've had multiple visits by different HVAC professionals in the area to fix a problem with my furnace and was told repeatedly that it was "just old" and should be limped along until I was ready to replace it. Well, fast forward to this year when we were finally ready to have the system replaced. Austin from Precision Air came out to give us a quote on a new AC + Furnace and instead he ended up just solving all the problems with the old system within half an hour. Turns out our replacement furnace blower that we had installed when we moved in had been wired incorrectly and Austin noticed it right away. Absolutely no need for a new system. Overall they did good work and were very communicative throughout the process. They responded promptly to the request for a quote, and the tech was very thorough in explaining the fix/tune when he has completed the job. My only problem was the cost. They charged a flat $149 for the initial inspection diagnostic fee, but the tech diagnosed the issue in 5 minutes and immediately told us that the fix would be $200-300 in labor (I don't remember the exact cost), would take about an hour, and that the initial fee was not rolled over in that cost like other companies offered to do. Maybe that is standard for some companies, but I wish that I had known this beforehand. I can't lie, I feel like I was taken advantage of and overcharged for the service. In the end, I was charged about $400 for a little over an hours worth of work. There were other HVAC companies that rolled the cost of the diagnostic fee into the repair fee, and if I had known that Precision Air did not do this, I would have gone with someone else. Just a consideration if you are looking for HVAC work going forward. Aside from this, I was happy with the work and the communication that they provided. Edit - To respond to Jade below: Hi Jade, I appreciate you responding. I understand that diagnostics require skill, but my point is that many companies offered to put this diagnostic fee toward the cost of the repair, especially if it was a quick and easy diagnostic as it sounds like my furnace was. According to the tech, the furnace was just mistuned, which took him a minute or two to figure out. I understand that you are a business that needs to make money and you did state beforehand that you had a diagnostic fee which would be in addition to the cost of repair. I'm not saying that you did anything wrong per se, but I feel like this exact scenario is why a lot of companies offer to roll that fee into the cost of the repair. They need to charge a bare minimum for making a house call, but getting charged with the diagnostic fee and then the repair sure feels like double dipping to me when the diagnostic was a very quick process that took a minute or two. read more

Quick, quality work while working around other crews in the house and yard. Paul and his assistant installed two bathroom fan vents for me in a 1920s craftsman. Paul found the least expensive way to run the attic vent while preserving good overall attic ventilation and very transparently walked me through options and costs for that install. They ran the downstairs vent with minimal disruption to the ceiling sheet rock despite having to work around pipes from the upstairs bathroom. Will definitely consider them for a heat pump install this summer and any other future work. read more

We did a lot of research and found Precision Air in March of 2019. Anthony and his colleague replaced our 28-year old heater unit and air conditioning unit and did a fabulous job....But wait! There's more! Two days ago, with the smoke from the wild fires quite noticeable outside, I decided to replace the unit's disposable filter on my own. I had never been the one to do that in the past, and got stymied when the filter seemed to be stuck. I called Precision Air and Dave talked me through the steps. But wait! There's more! We had recently moved into a new home and wanted to get our furnace/HVAC serviced as we had no idea when it had been last evaluated. We went with Precision Air due to Jade being super responsive and nice, and the great reviews on Yelp. We had an initially lukewarm impression of Precision Air due to our interactions with one of their technicians (nothing really to do with the job, just in regards to mask wearing during a pandemic, tracking mud into our home). Precision Air was super responsive to our initial feedback which was given after the visit, and they went above and beyond by contacting me and letting me know they reinforced their pandemic policy with their team. I appreciated their customer service and for their wanting to keep working with me (even though I had just given a kinda lukewarm review!) -- thus because we wanted to get an estimate on some additional work on our HVAC system (put in a return in our daylight basement) and install a hard start to our compressor - we did end up using Precision Air again. This time, Anthony came out -- who was super stellar. He was super informative and really took the time to explain different options for our system and walked us through the pros/cons of each. The layout of my house made installation complicated but Dan and Victor handled it like pros. They removed my gigantic, ancient oil burning furnace and installed an electric heat pump that serves as heating and cooling. Communication was great from the initial estimate to the end of the job when they showed me how to use and maintain the new equipment.
