Wish I could give a better rating since everyone I talked to and worked with was friendly and they seem like nice people - just didn't work out in my case. I was looking to get a quote for an HRV installed so I called and asked about that. I was asked when the last time our HVAC was serviced and since it had been a couple years was told we should just schedule a service before going ahead with a quote. So I scheduled - great! Guy came out and performed the service, but during the service the float switch we had on the system (so the condensate from the AC wouldn't overflow into our crawlspace if the drain got a clog) shorted the system when he plugged it back in. He said these things are unusual and not needed, since if it overflows it'll just have water in the crawlspace, no big deal (!?!), not like if the HVAC was in the attic. And the system wouldn't turn on unless he unplugged it, was that ok? Since I wanted the HVAC and AC to work I said ok. I asked the technician about getting a quote for an HRV and how that would work, etc, and he said he didn't know much about those and that he didn't see why they were necessary. While agree they're not necessary, we want one to improve our indoor air quality - thus the original call! He said he would note it down and the office would get back to me. Left with a $300 service bill, and an HVAC system in worse-off shape than before (no working float switch), I called back the next business day to see what could be done. The owner was really helpful and said he'd look into it, called back the next day and had the part ordered and would fix the float switch for free. I asked about getting a quote for an HRV and he said they don't really do them, so couldn't help out here. Ugh! That's why I called originally and wouldn't have had someone out here and paid $300 for service I didn't really want. All I really wanted was a quote! Lesson learned on my part, but overall won't be working with them again as they didn't help be address what I wanted to with my system (and I'm out $300 which seems pricey for what was ~1 hour maintenance service) read more

Had them come out to look at a failing furnace. I was worried I would need a new one, but they explained everything that was going on and what they were going to do. Turns out it just need a tune up, some cleaning, and one part replacement. All of it was less than $250.00. Huge relief. I'm updating review to post it was Frank who came out. read more

Wow, what a great business! I recently moved into a new home. Our A/C stopped working the day we moved in, and of course it was also over 100 degrees out. I was told the A/C unit was old when I got my home inspection. Therefore I was ready to replace the entire system. When the technician came out he took about 10 minutes to diagnose my unit. He determined it just needed a capacitor. Cost to replace:$300. He also went over my system with me and showed me that it was actually in really good shape. He told me I don't need to replace it just yet, as it seems fine overall. I really appreciated this. I know nothing about A/C systems and was so pleasantly surprised with the honestly and integrity of the technician. It's nearing 91 degrees today and of course, the furnace goes out :0 !! Requested a quote off Yelp to replace the old heat pump and new furnace and GM Curt called me back in 45 mins, and 1) honestly recommended that I refer to the local utility company for heat pump certified contractors, since they do not do a lot of them and therefore not, 2) they are a small family business and were 3 wks out on installations, and a sales call would not be available until next week. With our recent heat wave of triple digit temps, our 7-year old AC stopped working! The temp's in the house got up to the low 90's, which was not only uncomfortable but worrisome since my 95-year old mother lives with us. After calling multiple AC companies, including emergency requests, I was told by each one that the soonest they could come out was 1-2 weeks!!!! I called Service Now, Inc. and they came out the next day!!!!! I was impressed with their responsiveness and the tech, Matt, phoned as he was on his way. Within a few minutes of Matt checking things out, he replaced a part and our AC is working perfectly! He did a great job, answered our questions and was very professional. The trip charge, repair and part cost was less than I would have had to spend on other company's Emergency Call, so we were so pleased. We now plan to have them do a yearly check-up on the furnace/AC so that we can hopefully be ahead of any future problems. Last summer (2022) we had a new heat pump and auxiliary electric furnace installed by Service Now. The entire process was priced very, very fairly and was done very well. Jason, the owner, came out and gave us an estimate on a few different kinds of systems--we didn't really know what we wanted. After soliciting several bids from other companies and learning a bunch in the process, we circled back and asked Jason to provide a lot of different and additional information. He wrote back quickly... on weekends, and after hours. We talked on the phone several times. His attention was very confidence inspiring. We scheduled, and his crew came out and finished in a single day. The system has run nearly flawlessly ever since. When a small rattle developed in the duct (old house), we wrote Kurt in the office at 3PM and he had a crew out the next day at 8AM. Fixed. When I had a question about system operation in the 19° cold snap, Kurt wrote back in fifteen minutes. I feel like they're OUR a/c guys. I had my furnace go out on me in mid December and new that most likely I was due for a new furnace since mine is over 20 years old and had water & corrosion in it from the water pump not working correctly and having issues every other year. The first service I contacted was from a company that took over new management. He assessed my situation and mentioned I would need a new furnace. I knew that was most likely the case, but in assessing my situation, he mentioned that he could replace it. I asked about permits, since this is dealing with gas and also a new water pump since mine is over 20 years old. He mentioned that he doesn't really mess with permits and would just leave the old water pump. To me, those are red flags... When you deal with gas and if your furnace isn't hooked up right, you could blow up your house and insurance wouldn't cover it. For such a big job and selling your house, this is a situation where you want to make sure if you are going to spend a good amount of money and even pass inspection when selling your home, everything checks out. I did what most people do, check Yelp and look for the best reviews I could that seemed honest and trust worthy. I came across service now and immediately had someone on the other line in one ring and they mentioned the owner Jason could come out the next day and asses my situation. He new exactly what I needed within 5 minutes and took some pictures. After speaking about needing a new furnace, I mentioned that I'm a small business owner as well. Jason mentioned that he kept his service small in order to give better service & focus on his customers. He mentioned, we're not the most expensive service, but can't be the cheapest. It's exactly the business model that I have. After talking, he mentioned he would have a quote for me by the end of the day and do his best for pricing given the work that would be needed. Long story short, his bit came in $1,000 less than the service who quoted me without permits or a new water pump. Service now installed my furnace on January 21st 2022. They came on time, wore masks and even the electrician who came changed my power switch relocated everything in the front. If you've been without heat when it's 30 outside, then time is of the essence. With any home repairs, I recommend looking it up on YouTube and seeing if you can do any quick low risk cheap repairs. But once you start getting into trying to test out whether one of a dozen parts is broken, you're going to spend a bunch of money buying extra parts and your entire weekend trying to self-repair. All this while you're freezing. Your spouse's patience can only last so many days before you're "encouraged" to call the pros. I gave myself a day to figure it out but after that, it was better that I reached out to someone who knew What they were doing. Fortunately, these guys were quick and responsive, even after office hours! I got a scheduled visit within minutes of reaching out to them via yelp. The service was even scheduled for the first thing the next morning! Amazeballs! Matthew was the name of my tech and was top notch. Have used Service Now since 2006 when they installed our Carrier gas furnace. Their service work had been fine until they replaced a heat exchanger on our furnace last spring and botched the job enough we could smell something anytime the furnace ran (not often because we have a heat pump). Their only remedy was offering to sell us a new furnace with a small discount, so we opted to buy through Climate Control since their quote was similar and we were impressed with their work installing our heat pump. During the deinstall, we found the likely cause of the smell was insulation bunched in the back of the furnace against the heat exchanger that Service Now had installed. I realized this morning when I got up that my furnace wasn't kicking on and the temp was going down in the house. I checked the few things I knew to check, my furnace is 20 years old so I wouldn't have been surprised if it needed replacement. At 10:06 I called Service Now. At 11:31, Frank knocked on the door. Decided to get an early start on having central AC installed rather than waiting until peak season when everyone is booked out for months. Not only did they do a great job on the install, but they were also a pleasure to work with. They were very responsive and were happy to answer/address any questions I had. My situation was more complex than most due to my furnace being located in a finished basement and the ceiling joists running perpendicular to the refrigeration lines. Originally I thought they were going to need to cut a hole between each joist, but they came up with a much better solution that kept repairs to a minimum. Pricing was very fair too - especially considering that they use high quality Carrier units. A lot of other companies I looked at used cheaper units like Rheem. All-in-all, I'm very happy with the work they did - really high quality workmanship matched with a really good warranty too. read more

Service Now (and Kurt) rescued us last summer when our AC unit broke during the unbearably hot weather. They gave us good advice on how to cool our house until they could install the unit, and now that the hot weather is back, I called yesterday to set up a maintenance appointment.
