Excellent at color-matching! I added a fairing to my motorcycle and Craig matched the fairing paint color perfectly to the battery cover I sent along as a sample. Absoutly the worst service you can imagine. I lined up a track day 6 weeks out. i needed my yamahas front fork seals replaced. no problem Steve the owner says. 4 weeks later my bike is untouched. I explain I have to cancel the track day 10 days prior or miss the refund and he reassures me he will have it done before then. Well its not. And what he had one was ruin the fork body by improperly removing the old seals. The sorry dog then charged me for seals and wouldnt let me leave with my bike unless i paid for them. I took the bike to cycle world where they fixed it properly by replacing 1200 dollar forks that he ruined . Plus i missed my track day, and missed the refund window. I came to Precision after allegedly having my Yamaha repaired by the best in Virginia Beach. Driving away the bike still had some of the same symptoms that it arrived with. While I had to wait the entire summer, my bike runs better than when I bought it in 2005. Turns out the "Expert" mechanic missed the defective intake even though he charged for a complete carb rebuild. I found this place after laying my bike down and the insurance company told me to pick anywhere I wanted. They had a professional looking website, and Google & Yelp reviews were promising. Called to see if I needed an appointment (the answer was no), and headed over to drop off my bike. In addition to the insurance work, I wanted them to do a full tune-up ($289 - it was $350 at the Harley dealership for my wife's Harley), rewire my heated grips/GPS to ignition power rather than straight to my battery, and of course the insurance work. Full bill was $470 + change. Not a bad deal if you ask me. They kept me appraised of what was going on, and at one point called and told me that the Givi parts were back ordered and that I was missing out on some good riding days - did I want them to do all the OEM work, and I bring it back when they have the Givi parts in stock? THAT'S a company that cares about their customers. Picked up my bike today, and it was running as if it was brand new. Butter smooth on the throttle and carbs, man I love this place! We were so impressed that my wife just dropped her bike off to be lowered! read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! I brought my motorcycle here to get it inspected and they told me that my turn signal lights had to be DOT approved just to pass inspection. They told me that the only way I was passing inspection that day is if I cut the wires and remove the turn signals, apparently you can pass inspection without having them on. I had to ride back with no turn signals which was totally unsafe. And that is not even the worst of it yet. They went to test my brake light and they broke my foot brake off! They told me that it was going to happen anyways and that if I wanted to pass inspection they had to fix it which they ended up charging me for it when they were the ones that broke it. Their costumer service is so bad that I had to call them to see what the status on the bike was. And when I called Steve (the manager) he got mad for calling and always gave me attitude. Precision put my bike together never did get the bags on right. Left it was told three weeks , told Monday to come get it, said it was finished my trip was thursday . When arrived from NC they had barely started on it told they were sorry then story changed they said they told me 5 weeks. Would of never left it . Screwed my mountain vacation trip riding up this year. . Last time had replaced the air shocks with New coils they took the two inch drop kit off I didn't want that changed . Charged for that. Took it back this time to get them put back on was charged for fixing the bags again and installing the drops again rest of bike not completed. 168 dollars. Two times on the bill giving to me to finish the rest I was charged for mounting those drops that were taking off by accident. Had to correct that. Lost my business. They can't keep track of what they tell you or what they screw up and are suppose to fix. Even that the bike is not ready. read more

BAD SERVICE , PRICEY, SLOW WORK, RUDE Ok so where do I start. I bought a motorcycle and brought it in for them to make it safe to ride and get it inspected. And they charged me even more than what I paid for the whole bike, (more than ($1,000) which I felt that it was way too much. They charged me for and told me that they were going to get all the bolts that were needed to hold the fairings correctly and they couldn't even do that. There were bolts missing when I got the bike plus they broke off one of the bolts inside the thread and I noticed they zip tied it. And when I asked about it they told me that it was going to break anyways because the thread was bad.. and if I wanted it fixed that it was going to cost me extra. I asked Steve (the manager) "why would I have to pay for something that you guys broke?" and he gave me attitude telling me that I had to pay for it if I wanted it fixed. I ended up not paying for them to fix it and had to drill it out myself. The bike was there for a long time and they never call you to update you on the status. If I hadn't call I wouldn't know that my bike was ready to pick up. Plus whenever I called to ask for a status Steve got mad and gave me attitude telling me that he was going to call back when the work got done. I called and asked them to call me before they closed so I can plan ahead to pick it up and they said that I was getting called back and I never got called. I had to call the next day only to get him on the phone with attitude. They have a great mechanic (Sam) which is really knowledgeable, nice and honest guy. If you still end up going there and ignore this review I would recommend you ask for him to work on your bike. But the costumer service is really bad (apart from Sam) and prices are high. They will try to get every penny out of you! Trust me! read more

This shop reminds me of what shops should be like. I did some work with him upgrading some computer systems and noticed how he cares about customers, actually listens to their needs and refuses to use subpar parts with his client's motorcycles. I am extremely pleased working with him professionally. If you are a vendor doing business with him, he pays on time, very easy to work with and extremely helpful and decisive. UPDATE on my issues with Precision. So I paid around 1600... For them to not even do their job. I took my bike to a mechanic friend of mine who took two looks at it and fully revealed what kind of place Precision is. They didn't seat the Carbs right at all, so while they got the bike running it started to fail due to a heavy lean running condition. Then the bike wouldn't run just like when I brought it in to Precision. The reason? The carbs weren't cleaned at all and the jets were clogged up. 345 dollars for them to do nothing/a poor job at cleaning the carbs. Absolutely feel ripped off. I discovered more and more they didn't do their job on most of what I paid for, the only credit I give them is they found a problem with the diaphragms in the carbs that I missed, but that doesn't excuse the plethora of other scamming they did to me. I want my 1600 back but I know I'd never get it. All I can say is, never -ever- take your bike here. Unless it's a Harley. read more

1st time I asked them to check my light being out(high beams still worked) and just changed the battery a month or two before and got it back and the battery was dead. 2nd time I asked them to install my clutch pin and got it back with my clutch slipping. 3rd time they "fixed it" I was missing bolts on my front fender and my clutch cable was loose af! Mind you this was about a month ago and I had to tighten the clutch cable myself. Now my clutch is burnt out. This shop is trash and obviously does stuff half ass. I have used Precision for tire changes and have had excellent luck with them. However 3 friends have used them for more involved repairs with problematic results. I believe they mean well and working on out of warranty bikes can be a challenge bottom line stay away during peak times. They sell oils and other bike products at reasonable prices. They try hard to effectively deliver your bike to you fully repaired at promised times. This system works during non-riding seasons but breaks down during the season. They are overwhelmed from March thru July and can't provide repair times or parts. They use genuine HD Parts and I get the feeling the relationship with Southside HD is often challenged - use of after market parts appears to be a secondary option...and during riding prep season they are smoked. I believe getting a major repair in riding season at The shop is problematic. You should shop around. They do good work but have poor customer relations the front desk does not appear to have a handle on service issues such as parts delivery, repair times, or status of the bikes or a plan to effectively perform the work required. I would have no problem going to Precision for work during non peak repair times. read more

They were fast, inexpensive, and didn't treat you like an idiot like the other shops. I now take my bike and my wife's bike there exclusively. Shop is 425 miles from my home, I wanted to be sure of this purchase before closing the deal. Shop had complete maintenance records of the bike including what they had done to bring bike back to original condition. Every aspect of the sale was top notch. Price of the bike and costs for service and accessories was very reasonable. I'm very pleased with bike and would highly recommend this shop for anyone looking to purchase a bike or have service work of any kind done. If you're looking for a glitzy dealership with frills and eye appeal, this is not your place. This is by far the worst customer service I have experienced! I called to order a motorcycle tire last Wednesday afternoon. It was about 3:30pm, was told they couldn't order the tire until Thursday morning. I was informed that my motorcycle tire was available next day delivery. So I waited till about noon to call back to check to see if my tire had arrived yet. I was informed that it hadn't arrived yet and that they were waiting on UPS to deliver the tire. So I called back a few more times throughout Friday asking if my tire had showed up and there was still no status of where the tire was by the time the shop closed on Friday. On Saturday I tried to call back again to check the status and was informed by the lady I talked to on the phone that if it did show up on Monday she would call UPS to check the status. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Here it is Monday after ordering the tire for next day delivery and I still don't have my tire or a status of my tire. Terrible service! I am guessing I had one bad experience going over all these positive reviews. I brought a vespa in and was told it would take a week for parts to come in to get it running correctly. They told me to expect a week turn around time which turned into about 3-4 weeks. By the 3rd week I had to call them every day (at least they answer the phone...) and got excuses like its next up or they are working on it now by week three. They took 1/2 the payment for the job on June 16th. The bike was still behind three others on July 8th. I definitely felt like they sidelined me. It was only after repeatedly calling that I got my vespa back from them. No hard feelings but I cannot contemplate why I would put myself through getting it towed up there pay 1/2 up front and wait 3 weeks for them to even get the bike near a rack. I think that pretty much sums it up. The people are nice but I felt like they really didn't respect me as a customer. I was only called by Precision to authorize payment after that I was given 0 update without calling them directly. read more

The worst place to take your bikes! We had our bikes towed in and the first one was fixed in a week, it took them 3 MONTHS to tell us that the back ordered part could be ordered from another place if we paid more, which we would have done on the second week! Then when we wanted our bikes towed back because we were furious, they didn't show twice when they said they would and said they would charge us storing fees. The customer service is horrendous.
