The guy helping me tried to add on additional services like filters, a new battery ( this one is 2yrs old ) and flushing the radiator. I appreciated his pointing these things out after I showed him my car had failed inspection for an issue w/ a problem with #4 cylinder and some other things . I declined everything and just went with the oil changed and an additional $4 dollar charge to top off radiator fluid which I thought was part of the $117.00 charge. * no tires checked , no vacuuming, no windows cleaned - noted bc Jiffy Lube does this or at least they used to . Anyway .... The real problem was their card reader couldn't read my debt card. After numerous attempts, and 2 different ppl trying to help, I called my bank . I was on the phone with them for a while and they couldn't see any problem on their end . Unfortunately I didn't bring anything with me except my license and debt card and after what felt like an eternity I finally walked over to Home Depot and bought a lanyard and got cash back . I walked back over and the manager took my payment and she apologized and said they have problems with other cards too . If that's the case they really need to address it or at least let ppl know in advance, post it on their advertising maybe . Fortunately I was off yesterday otherwise I'd have been pissed wasting over an hour there. I think I'll stick with jiffy lube in the future .

Second, we waited 3 whole hours after our appointment and still hadn't been seen. After 3 hours, we…read moreasked them to just patch the tire, which unfortunately was not possible. The problem with this ,however, is that we had to wait a whole other hour (so 4 hours in total) for them to tell us that it couldn't be done. This could have been done in 5 minutes. At the start of the night roughly a half hour after we arrived we made an appointment (including putting down a deposit). Seeing as we waited 4 hours for nothing, but they told us the tires were in stock, we decided to go back the next morning, as we should have had a 8 AM appointment. When we got there they said our appointment had not "come through". We had started talking to the manager at this point and she came up with the excuse that since they technically close at 6 PM on Thursday, even if on every platform it is advertised to close at 8, and they were more than happy to keep us there until 10 PM, the appointment had not been made. This is strange, as we had gotten a confirmation and it willingly accepted our deposit. The manager then told us the tires were not available and had to be ordered, which directly contradicted what we had been told last night. She then spent about 30 minutes "looking" for these tires, which allowed all the other 8 AM appointments to arrive and check in. She finally came back and said she could do it but refused to give us a time frame. We arrived at 8:01. She wanted us to leave the car the whole day, for something that realistically should not take this long. Having made an appointment and been there the night before the should have at least been able to get us in within an hour and a half. She, however, said probably 3 hours. After this we asked for our deposit back and left. As we were driving out of the parking lot the manager walked outside and was quite literally yelling at us as we left "YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES" after we decided to leave. While waiting in line, we heard multiple other people complain about similar things, along with one lady having the same issue with the manager, as she would tell people things that she would later not honor at all.

I guess many dictionaries have the wrong definition of the word reservation because many places are…read moredoing the opposite of that definition. Merriam-Webster has the word reservation defined as "an arrangement to have something (such as a hotel room) held for one's use." Either way a reservation is much like an appointment, booking, or a commitment. Well, NTB has a new spin on reservation. Background is that my tire caught some nails and with them being new tires I just decided to replace the one that had an issue. I do have warranty for road debri punctures but what do you know that tire place I have the warranty from is not in this area to replace the tire. The first time I made an appointment I get a call from NTB saying that they did not want me waiting long for the confirmed 8AM appointment. I asked them why is there a wait for one tire when I have a 8AM spot secured and that is the time they open. Basically, they did not have enough technicians which makes me wonder why they just did not set the limit or close off the 8AM time slot. I was told it might turn into an all day thing. All day? All day for one tire at a place called NTB Tire and Service. The main job they do is in the title of NTB (National Tire and Battery. I just went ahead and cancelled and setup another date. I scheduled another date once again for 8AM on another Saturday morning. Once again, I get a call saying that they just wanted to let me know plenty of people made 8AM appointments. WTF? Why do you keep accepting appointments and you cannot get to everyone? Then the audacity to say make sure you show up early so we can get to you first. Appointment made at 8AM. NTB opens at 8AM. What is the problem here? I am first. So, I had reservations, see what I did there, after clearly seeing they are unable to manage time. You know one of the simplest things when it comes to one's job and basically life to be aware of time and one's responsibilities. The leery part came when the guy tried to up sale on me saying "You should really get four new tires since your vehicle is all wheel drive. First of all what does that have to do with anything. Second, all the tires only have about 5K miles on them. Then my vehicle is not an all-wheel drive vehicle, and did you not listen to me for what I came here for? A single tire. An obvious mistake and the desire to sell you something that you do not need makes you question do they look at you as customer or as a fool. If you are waiting for the service to finish it is funny because the employees will come into the waiting area and as "You know your car is ready?" No, I did not know that and how would I know that. Not the best experience. First time at this tire place and I am tired of it already.

Today, I had a 7:30 appointment for an oil change and cabin filter change. I arrived at 7:00 to find six cars lined up in front of me. No biggie bc I'm the one who arrived 30 minutes early. What I did not appreciate was being overlooked by the service advisors. An advisor stopped at my car to ask who my appointment was with and when I said "any advisor" he said "ok well the car BEHIND you is my appointment so I'm going to take care of him and someone will be with you." Please note, I had been waiting 15 minutes at this point. I pull my car forward and another advisor greets me, but this time he asks for my name and if I I an appointment. I provided my name and appointment time. Now at this point, one would think the advisor would grab the appointment list, locate my name, and grab the advisor assigned to me, but no. He asked what brought me in which just irritated me bc again all of this information can be found where....the appointment sheet! He gets my info and sends me on my way. Five minutes later, a third advisor comes to me in the waiting area to recap the reason for my visit. Seriously wtf is happening?!

The only thing that keeps me coming back is that I like my service advisor. For starters, my appointment was booked by Ana (the AI bot) that booked me under the wrong customer name. I was also assigned a new service advisor, which led to a lot of confusion when I first got there. I came for a routine service and somehow was stuck here for 5 hours. Service here used to be fast and efficient so I've always waited onsite for my car. The customer coffee area are was filthy and not stocked. They removed the microwave which I always used. When i first got there I said my low tire pressure light had just turned on and that I would like it fixed during my service. They did the standard service, tire rotation, and inspection, and sent me a long list of "critical" items to get fixed. Some of them were not critical but I had a few things addressed as I typically do. After 5 hours I got my car back and the low pressure light still on. I was honestly so irritated by how long it took and how much money I spent that I didnt even bother to say anything. I didn't want to be there for another few hours. Now I'm questioning if they actually did the service I paid for. My tire light is still on to this day.

Before making the trip, I spoke with the dealership multiple times over the phone to confirm the price. I was explicitly told that $20,000 was the out-the-door price, including taxes and fees, and I even received an email confirming those terms in writing. Based on that agreement, my family and I drove 2 1/2 hours each way to the dealership, expecting them to honor the price they had repeatedly confirmed. Instead, after we arrived, we were told there had been a "misunderstanding" between three employees and that the actual price would be about $3,000 higher than what we had agreed to. Even after showing them the email confirming the $20,000 out-the-door price, they continued to insist it was simply an internal misunderstanding. As a customer, that's not an acceptable explanation. Internal communication issues should never become the customer's problem especially after a deal has been confirmed multiple times over the phone and then put in writing. We invested five hours of driving, along with fuel and time, only to find that the dealership would not honor the agreement they made. This was also my first experience financing a vehicle through a dealership, and unfortunately it left me feeling misled and extremely disappointed. Buying your first car should be an exciting milestone, not an experience where you question whether a written agreement will actually be honored. I understand that mistakes happen, but when a dealership makes a commitment in writing, customers should be able to trust that commitment. Instead of taking responsibility for the error, we were simply told it was a misunderstanding and expected to pay thousands more than the agreed-upon price. I hope Nissan of Bowie improves its communication and pricing practices so future customers don't have to go through the same experience. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership.

The recommendations they gave me were grossly overpriced, so I chose not to have any repairs done. That part was fine -- what wasn't fine was the lack of basic care afterward. They removed screws from my car during the inspection and didn't bother to put them back. The technician also told me he would have the service team turn off the "tire maintenance" indicator. I didn't realize until I got home that they never did it. For the money I spent, the only thing I actually received was a "free" courtesy ride home. I had been considering trading in my car and purchasing my next vehicle from this dealership, but if the service department can't handle simple tasks, I don't feel confident trusting them with a major purchase. I'll be taking my business to another dealership.

I called and asked about pricing. The cost (whether jump start or battery) was reasonable. Mr. Ayala said he'd pick up the battery on the way just in case - having gotten the information I had on hand for my make and model, and my equipment preference if it came to that. He also said that I wouldn't be charged for the battery if it wasn't needed - regardless of him making this outlay. As promised, he showed up about 45 minutes after our call - this is with him driving up to Baltimore. When he arrived, Mr. Ayala looked at the battery, said it was 2 years old, no corrosion - relatively young for the equipment. That it probably would be just a jump start (I had left the car sitting for too long). He then promptly walked me through the steps to jump it, while attaching the cords to the outlets. The car started. Then he had me turn it off without the cords attached to check that it still started, which it did. The service was $85. Perfectly reasonable. Convenient and timely, as well, and I found him to be pleasant and knowledgeable.
