Similar to another complaint, I asked for two windows to be replaced. They quoted me and I was happy with the price and scheduled the appointment so that I could be home for the install. They replaced two panes in one window. I had to pay again and take time off work for the second two panes in the second window. Looking back, I think they do that intentionally so you that you are getting a great deal and choose them. Then you find out it's not as great a deal as you believed it would be when they actually show up and play dumb. Who calls two panes of glass in one window frame, two windows? Precision Windows does, after the agreement is made and they show up with the window(s). This was less than two months ago. I found out Saturday or Sunday that the window sticks really badly, and my husband tried to get it back on track and even lubricated the frame. It still didn't open easily. Last night, my mother-in-law knocked on the window with the middle knuckle of her middle finger and the window broke, cracking from the middle all the way to the top and bottom, and leaving her knuckle bloody. I called last night and left a message. I had not received any call back by 10:38 today, so I called and spoke to Kelly. She was very defensive and said my mother in law must have knocked on the window really hard. REALLY? With the middle knuckle of her middle finger? I had no idea she had such herculean strength! Kelly then refused to replace the pane and wanted me to pay for it again. Spend a little more money with a company who stands behind their work and product, and who cares about taking care of their customers. I used this company 15 years ago when we moved to Valley Ranch. I was so impressed with the owner (still owned by the same man but a bigger company) that I saved his card and had them come back last year. Honest, well-organized organization providing quality service at a reasonable predetermined price. I highly recommend Precision Windows. read more

Very impressed! My son broke a window over the long holiday so I knew it would be a min before we could get it fixed called the company when they were closed and someone called me back when they were still out for the holidays. They came and gave me a quote which was by far reasonable and replaced the window when they said they would. I would definitely recommend this company! read more

They failed to show up for their appointed time to install a window on 3 consecutive occasions. The scheduler never apologized or gave a reason for their no shows. I told them I was going elsewhere and was threatened with a reporting to the credit bureau if I did not pay for the window. We had 14 windows with vapor between the glass. At first we were going to replace the windows and the I called Precision Windows. They said they could just replace the glass which was a fraction of the price of new windows. Their team came out and in less then two hours my windows looked brand new. They were courteous, clean and just outstanding customer support. Don't replace use Precision Windows!! read more

I am angry at myself for using this company twice. I'm not sure how they stay in business. Ten years ago when we bought our house they replaced several of the fogged windows. Within years those replaced windows began to fog, too. Now we are trying to sell our house and I finally got off my lazy bones to review the warranty for the replaced windows. No exaggeration, the ten-year warranty had literally expired by a month. Obviously, that's on me, but they didn't even entertain the idea of replacing the windows under warranty, much less giving us some sort of discount. Because they had our measurements, because our realtor said they had "a good reputation," and because we were up against a time crunch, I paid these frauds once more to replace their own shoddy work. I'm mad at myself for this! Find a better company. This company does piss-poor work. read more

I would give this company zero stars if I could!! 2 months ago I had them come out and measure to get a few windows and a screen replaced, never heard back after that. About a month ago I contacted my landlord to find out where we were with it since I never heard anything. My landlord told me they were coming out on this date. Well the date that Precision chose was not going to work so I called to try and get another date. The lady on the phone was very rude about it and told me the next available date was like a month away so I went ahead and made their date that they chose, work. They called the day before and gave me a time frame between 12-1. The next day they called me right at 12pm to tell me that a part didn't come in and they would have to reschedule. I was like fine. Weeks went by and I had to ask my landlord again when I am rescheduled, he told me and again I didn't have a choice in the date. They called the day before and gave me between 12:30-1:30. I asked them if they could tell the installer to call me when he's on his way so I can make sure and leave work in enough time. I never received a call but got to my house at exactly 12:30. While I was waiting, I noticed that the screen that was broken was replaced (that window faces my backyard which I found out later that he pryed open the rod iron gate to get back there). I wasn't sure how it was replaced if the guy hasn't come yet. I called Precision around 1pm and asked if the guy came out and they told me no as I proceeded to tell them about the fixed screen. He said he would contact the installer and call me back. At 2:20 I get a call back and the guy tells me that the installer already came out but failed to tell them and that the installer tried to call me several times and couldn't get ahold of me which is a lie!! I'm angry at this point and told him everything the guy said is not true and that I got to my house at 12:30 on the dot. So Precision tells me again they will have to reschedule! This will be the 3rd time! I'm beyond pissed and told them they need to contact me to set up a date instead of picking a date that I better be good with. Please do not use this company!! It has been a nightmare and I still haven't gotten my windows. I will recommend my landlord not use them in the future!!! read more

I had a very poor experience dealing with Precision Windows. Specifically around communication. They struggle with the fundamental business need of communicating. The sales team was good but the home office missed one of our windows. This resulted in them having to come back out and install the one window they missed since the sales team clearly didn't communicate with anyone. I even sent emails trying to clarify but heard nothing back. The install was fine but one of the contractors didn't have all the materials to get started because they didn't communicate with anyone on the day of the install. The most frustrating part was that I went an entire month after ordering my windows before hearing from them. I proactively called one day and asked for a status update and their response was that they were installing that week, without even checking with me on my schedule. This happened again with the final window they had to come do. Scheduled it and no call no show until 4 hours after my scheduled time. Very poor communication across the entire process. Stay away. Not worth the headache. **updated** Felecia - as your system will show, on March 6th I was sent an email confirming a scheduled install date of March 15th. I stayed home that day for 2 hours waiting and had to call your office to learn that no one was coming on that scheduled day. Then I was not sent a new email with a new date per your communication process. Rather was called for a new date. Which as you will see, was changed again from Friday the 22nd to Saturday the 23rd. Then yes, due to weather, your installer was not able to install on the 23rd and we moved the install date to March 28th. All for one window that was missed among lots of back and forth from your team. I appreciate your outreach and desire to communicate now however please spend your energy on doing better for future customers. read more

Being a contractor and hiring several different window companies in the past, I can assure you that Precision Windows prices are the best! They are easy to work with and perform the work in a timely manner. It is not always the quickest moving industry, but they have exceeded my expectations and my other experiences. I had to call them about a broken window in Fort Worth. Even though they are based out of McKinney, they came out the very next day to Fort Worth to get it measured and taken care of! The first time Precision Windows was supposed to show up in May, the project owner/worker called late that morning to say he would not be there. We kindly rescheduled, but the second time he showed up, he had just one of three windows; I'm not sure why he didn't have all three since he said he ordered them and they had arrived at his warehouse. We sent him away and asked him to reschedule when he had them all. When we rescheduled​ for this weekend, we asked him to confirm he had the correct, complete order. He said he did. We reconfirmed this past Wednesday that he would be here with the full order Aug. 10 He showed up late (and I do mean late) this morning with the wrong windows. I am a general contractor who takes the care of our clients very seriously. Their satisfaction is our top priority. Unfortunately, this is not the top priority for Precision Windows. Their prices are cheap, but you get what you pay for. Their commitment to timing and schedule is shabby at best. Their customer service when they screw up is trash. I should have looked at this site before using this company and realize that the 2-star rating is a red flag but wanted to give a local company a chance. What a headache it has been trying to get my foggy windows replaced! It took two tries to measure some of the windows correctly. Upon installation, the installation guys started taking out windows 1 hour before the scheduled time scaring my son half to death, thinking they were intruders. Precision was professional all the way. They replaced ONLY the pane which had lost its seal. Of course it was a special - no longer available - tint so I was warned it would not match 100%. I received a call about a week prior to installation to schedule.. again a reminder the evening before with a reasonably small time window (no pun intended). The technician arrived on time and went straight to work. He was high efficient and very professional. The new glass looks great - and the tint... well it's hardly noticeable! The installer was very nice, but the rest of our experience was terrible. The appraiser seemed reasonable, however he apparently only marked for half of the bad panes to be replaced. Instead of replacing all 4 at the same time, they apparently came and only changed out two without contacting the owner. Afterward, the owner of the house was contacted and asked for payment, and the owner paid under the assumption that it was done. And then they called two weeks later saying they were coming out to do the whole job. Long story short, they didn't realize it had already been partially done. The business owner John called back after the confusion and was upset at the homeowner because he had to order extra panes. He eventually just hung up on the homeowner. No care placed on customer satisfaction whatsoever. There are plenty of other window guys... Don't take your chances here. read more

Precision Windows ... - Displayed their underwear (down to thigh) to my young daughters in my conservative house - Their management then defended the display of underwear to my daughters - Took personal property from my house during the install - Refused to acknowledge my warranty claim with a revised estimate - Falsified documents to decline the warranty repair / accusing me of making a false claim - Revised their lie to challenge my valid warranty claim by alleging I failed to make the warranty claim while the estimator was on-site. (How could I?...as the claim was detected by reviewing the estimate prior to authorizing the work.) - On revising the invoice, withdrew credits previously granted to gain my authorization of the work - Failed to replace all the screws or to fully tighten screws (leaving large gaps between seal and sill) - Left the windows filthy ... full of sweaty body/shoulder smears read more

Use this company at your own risk. I do not recommend you use or avoid. Knew I was in trouble on day one when Jed came, said hello, good-bye and measured 5 windows in 10 minutes on Sep 28. Ordered new glass inserts, the vinyl frames are good. 17 days later they came to install. All windows did not match the original sizes or cover the frame opening, two were close and I let them be installed, should have refused. Ordered replacements. 22 days later they came again. All 3 would not fit, too tall and not wide enough. Insisted they measure the old glass inserts and make the new ones the same, they refused. Said they want to make them smaller to be sure they go in the frames. DO YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS THEN? In the first two installs they broke all of the pivot pins that hold the sash in place, I had to buy new ones. The sash comes out easily if you tilt to the correct position, not wrestle, pound and fight it. One man used a hammer to beat the edge trim back in place, broke the new glass of course. I put a trash can at each window, they threw the trash outside. Expected an apology phone call, did not happen. I called, Shelley said she was sorry. Original windows have a double stick foam tape to seal and hold the window in place. They only cleaned off some of it. Asked them to remove all of it, they refused, said it was good enough. This is not rocket science, a sash has width and height. How do they stay in business? Apparently, they are all orphans and never had a father to teach them to take pride in their work and what a professional job looks like. Seven days later they set a time for the third install on Nov 13, 2020. They called; one window does not have the mullions (cross bars). Told them to bring the other two, no one came. I am a man of great patience and understanding, but it is wearing thin. Nov 19, they came for the fourth attempt. Windows too tall, do not fit in. Nov 21 came and did an actual measure of the old windows. Dec 04 came and installed the 3 units, perfect fit. I asked for consideration for the hassle over 9 weeks, they gave a 10% discount. Note the windows are assembled by Thermotec Windows in Carrolton. On the positive side I can say they did not quit and walk away. But they really need to improve their process and quality control. If you have the patience of Job, they will deliver. read more

My experience with Precision Windows was positive. There are so many window replacement companies in the DFW area, I didn't know where to begin other than reading reviews online, and there does not seem to be a single one that does not have some negative reviews, which was discouraging. A realtor, who is also a friend, told me that he had clients who had used Precision Windows in McKinney and they were pleased with the outcome. That is the reason I called Precision for an estimate. Beginning with Mark, the person who came to give me the estimate, everyone I worked with was very professional. They gave me a date for the replacement and said the crew would call me before they came, which they did. We found the crew to be very courteous and especially efficient. They finished in a very short time and left the porches and flower beds where they worked clean. After I had several large banks of windows replaced, my experience was so positive, I decided to have several more individual windows replaced. Again, everything went smoothly. It was highly recommended by my neighborhood site, so I was excited to use them, but totally disappointed with their unprofessionalism. There's so many things to list... first, they didn't communicate with me when they were coming, so they broke the window, left shards all over our dining room carpet and table. That's how they left it! They said they vacuumed the carpet, but when we vacuumed after them, there were a ton more. They also inserted the white plastic incorrectly that goes between the glass panes so there are noticeable gaps. There were large shards outside of the window and the window sill. The sticker on the glass is still left. Seems like they tried to take it off, but had trouble so they left it. It was a horrible experience!!! Very disappointed with this company. read more

Wonderful experience again! We just had Precision Windows replace 22 windows in our home this week. They brought a full crew of workers (8-10) to handle the job. Took them less than 2 hours. Workers were very professional, personable, and took extra care to clean up the work areas after they finished the job. Price was extremely good compared to other window companies we checked. This is the 2nd time we used Precision. They replaced 40 windows in our prior home in Coppell. We moved out of that home 15 years later. None of those windows failed, voided, or needed to be replaced. Doug was our salesperson, and he took extra time to show us all of the options (low E, regular, etc) window types we could choose from for our new home. Overall, this experience was just as great as our previous experience with Precision. We highly recommend them. We had neighbors already ask us who we used for our new windows and we have freely given them Precision's contact info. We only had Precision Windows do an install because they are who our contractor used. Once they finished the job and left I noticed small glass chips and shards around every window they worked on. Worst of all next to my (at that time 7 months pregnant) wife's side of the bed was a shard the size of my hand. When I contacted our contractor he tried in vain to get PW to contact us. I called on several occasions leaving a message each time and was never responded to. Precision Windows does not stand by their work. Precision Windows does not follow up. Precision Windows will never be used by me or anyone I know--they have also been dropped by our contractor. AVOID PRECISION WINDOWS LIKE THE PLAGUE. read more
