The wooden parts of our house (75% brick, 25% wood) were getting a little ragged around the edges and wanted to do something better than doing the usual cheap repairs and repainting, and decided to completely replace all the wooden parts with pre-painted Hardie board which lasts many years beyond the typical wooden siding. After speaking with various Hardie board contractors, we invited Tony Cicora, the sales and design consultant with Amazing Exteriors, to come out and get the ball rolling. He was absolutely awesome! He explained the whole process from beginning to end, how the work would be done down to the last detail, showed us a wide range of designs, and helped us with a design scheme for our house that my wife absolutely loved, and got the paperwork started, including taking care of the permitting process with the city. I know we asked about a million questions, and Tony took the time to answer them all. (Thanks Tony!) As we couldn't afford to do everything our house needed this year, we split it into two parts with the main wooden parts of the house being replaced this year as Phase I, with plans to replace the eaves and soffits next year under Phase II. We appreciate Amazing Exteriors was willing to accommodate us by making the project more affordable by splitting things up. Soon afterwards Amazing Exteriors project manager, John Friesen, reached out to us and came by to get the critical measurements needed to order the materials needed for the job. We asked more questions and John took the time to answer them as well. After the permitting was done, the team showed up, stripped down the wooden parts to the studs, replaced anything rotten or sketchy, installed insulation where it was needed, installed OSB, then a high quality weather barrier, flashing etc, an additional layer of foam insulation that was molded to the Hardie board, then the Hardie board, and then caulked it all up. As far as I could tell, the construction method they used was superior to the original construction used when the house was originally built. After the team left, I was contacted by Rucheli Silva, the Quality Inspector for Amazing Exteriors. She let me know she was there to address any concerns or issues we might have had during the entire process so she could address them and get them resolved. Fortunately we only had a few small issues that were immediately resolved and addressed by the onsite foreman Delberto (sorry, I didn't catch his last name). There were a few out of scope things I needed to complete such as replacing the outside eave lights, and replace the backdoor fixture and outlets with new ones, and a new doggie door, and once I was done with those details, Kenny Griefnow came by to take care of the final punch down lists items that needed addressing after the main team had left, like last spots that got missed or anything else of concern to us, of which he did an outstanding job of addressing, and leaving no stone unturned. All that needed addressing was to caulk the inner side of a one of the windows (which was difficult to see so I can see how that happened), and to place a piece of support siding under the new outlet that had been installed, and to caulk around that, and caulk around where I had installed the new doggie door, all things which I had installed after the team had left. Overall impressions? The wife and I absolutely love the work that was done from the quality to the final appearance. I'm an engineer so I totally appreciated the effort that was taken to make sure everything was rebuilt even better than when the house was new. My wife and I both love how great it all looks, and we won't have to worry about anything for many years to come. As far as Amazing Exteriors, their people and the work done, I have absolutely no reservations about them and the quality of their work and would go with them again in the future in a heartbeat. If you read down to here, sorry for such a long review, but I did notice some past reviews that were less than spectacular, but my take away from all this is that Amazing Exteriors is working hard to address those short comings by putting into place the people and processes to make sure they surpasses all expectations of the customers they serve. They certainly impressed me and frankly, I am very hard to impress and I wanted folks to know they are trying really hard to earn your business as a Premier contractor. They have put into place one of the most generous warranty programs I have ever seen anywhere, so they mean business when it comes to customer satisfaction and a job well done. read more

I found this company in an online search. I was looking for a specific type of window. I had already done a search to find out which window manufacturers make the window I was searching for. Marvin was one of 4 manufacturers that build this specific window, which this company sells. Amazing Exteriors is close to my job, so I stopped by after work. I walked in the showroom and a lady came out from the back and greeted me. She asked what I was looking for and I explained the window type of window I needed. She then said we only take orders for 3 or more windows and they didn't have the type of window I was looking for. I explained to her I had already done online research and asked if they sell Marvin windows? She replied yes, so I said that Marvin does manufacturer that type of window. So, she said let me go speak to the salesperson in the back. By the way, he never bothered to come up front and speak with me. She came back and told me he said, "we don't do that." Not that Marvin didn't make that window, but we don't want your business! This company must have so much business that they don't need any new customers. The fact that you have a person that works for a company that doesn't even know the manufacturer they use makes a specific window I was looking for speaks volumes for me. And...the fact a salesperson doesn't even come out of his office to speak to a potential customer also says a lot! I own my home and have many things this company sells that I could need in the future other than a window. I found another company that actually wanted my business and solved the problem for me. We had an unfortunate experience with Amazing Exterior that left us questioning their professionalism and reliability. My husband and I needed to replace the windows in our master bedroom, so we searched online and found Amazing Exterior. When the salesman visited our home to provide a quote, he emphasized that their company was very large, with numerous branches, and claimed their name was one we could trust. Based on his assurances, we signed the contract that day. We made a down payment on 9/11, and a technician came to measure the windows on 9/24. However, we didn't receive any updates after that. I emailed and called several times, and each time I was informed that the order had been placed with the factory and that I would receive an email update. Yet, until last week--almost three months after our down payment--we had not received any email updates or further communication about our order. Frustrated by the lack of updates, my husband reached out to the salesman again and asked what exactly we had purchased. The salesman's response was simply, "Windows." My husband pointed out how unusual it was to buy a product we hadn't even seen. He explained, "We didn't just buy windows from you--we bought trust. But you were the first to break that trust." The salesman had no response. When we requested to cancel the order, the salesman claimed that the contract couldn't be broken because the order had already been submitted to the factory and that canceling would result in financial loss for the company. But isn't that the reality of doing business? If customers break a contract, we face penalties. So why should we, as customers, have to worry about a vendor's losses when they failed to honor their side of the agreement? We waited for months, clueless and without updates, while they didn't seem to care. We understand that there are many window vendors available, and customers often choose companies based on their name and reviews. We trusted Amazing Exterior to do a good job, but they failed to uphold their promises. The salesman had boasted about their large, trustworthy company, and we believed in that trust. However, over the course of three months, the company never contacted us to provide updates or inform us of delays. The contract clearly stated that we would be contacted, provided with an ETA via email, and that delivery would take 2-6 weeks from the date of the agreement. Yet, the salesman seemed unaware of these terms. After all this, we received a call on Monday notifying us that installation was scheduled for Wednesday 12/18. This lack of communication, transparency, and accountability was deeply disappointing. I met the Amazing Exteriors team at the FW Home Show in 2021 and, even though we were over a year away from starting a new house, they were very helpful and offered many cost savings ideas. Now that we are in the final stages of design and ready to start building, I have met with them again for a quote on Windows, Doors, and Siding. The whole office staff was professional and the Office Sales Mgr greeted us and checked in on us during our discussions in the conference room. There are numerous extras they provide and no one else matches their warranty. I highly recommend talking with Amazing Exteriors for your replacement or new home build. . We had our wood siding replaced with Hardie board. The finished siding replacement is excellent. The process they went through was not. The job was to have started on Monday. By 9:30 I had not heard from them, so I called the office. I was told that because of the threat of rain, the job would be rescheduled and somebody would contact me to reschedule. Nobody contacted me. The next morning at 7:45 the doorbell rang. It was the crew ready to start work. Certainly did not expect that! The work proceeded and the crew left for the night. The work areas were a complete mess. Two trailers were left. One on my property partially blocking the alley. The other on my neighbor's property without his permission. Trash and construction material completely covered the driveway. Since it was trash pickup day, I had to drag the cans over the mess. The next morning the garbage trucks had difficulty maneuvering around the trailer. The next day, work was completed by mid-afternoon. The crew packed up and was about to leave without offering a walk through of the completed work. I noticed that the door between the patio and the garage was not closing properly. Two guys worked on it and left it where it would close but still stick significantly. Someone is supposed to fix it, but that has not happened yet. The crew reinstalled the outdoor outlet upside down so that the cover would collect rain instead of deflecting it. That has been remedied. They cleaned up large debris but left a layer of sawdust covering the patio floor, furniture and grill. Did no notice it until we were dragging it into the house when entering. It took me 2 hours to clean it up. Needless to say we would not recommend the company for future work. read more

*****WARNING, PLEASE READ before buying windows. First, I apologize for the long WINDOW only review: In mid August, I received several quotes for replacement of rotted, wooden windows in our home. I liked Chris, the local Marvin company owner, and the quality of their Marvin replacement windows, as this was what was original to our home. After paying the deposit (half), they were quick to get someone out to measure. Although, that step did involve three separate visits. We received a verbal estimate to have the windows installed by end of November or December (now end of August). However, after 3.5 months, I had heard nothing from Amazing Exteriors (Marvin) and called their office, leaving a message once and speaking with office staff another time, along with a text to Chris himself, to see if there were any updates, but never received any call or email back, other than a thumbs up text. This is not to mention, that six weeks earlier, I had texted AND called about adding additional windows to my order, but received zero return calls. After another week of silence, I texted Chris I wanted to cancel my order (now coming up on 4 months from signing and zero communication). It was at this point he told me he could be ready for installation in another 3-4 weeks. Now, I understand there could be a lot going behind the scenes beyond their control, but I refuse to do business with a company that does not communicate at all with their customers. This only speaks to their unreliability and makes you lose trust, that if there happens to be an issue with the windows or installation, the company will follow up in a timely manner with corrections. Update: I have had to contact a lawyer, as no one from this company will pick up the phone or return a message (now 5 months). And they have not returned a penny of the several thousands of dollars they were paid. Now having more closely read through the BAD reviews on Google, and all of the resolved BBB cases, I see they are all for the window portion of the company and all for the same thing. Poor communication and delay in getting work done as promised. Please read all the one-star reviews on here and about the closed cases on BBB and see for yourself. We had our windows and siding replaced on our house. Amazing Exteriors was not the highest bid, but we appreciated the knowledgeable and friendly salespeople. They did not hard sell other than the obvious prices will probably go up if you wait too long. We did get hard sold by another bidder. It took four months to get the windows made. Once they arrived there were two working crews that came in, both were extremely courteous and worked hard. Management came through for a final walkthrough, I paid them and pointed out a couple of minor things, and they got it fixed. Our house is much quieter and cooler, and I'm glad we found this company. Amazing Exteriors has earned the title of the most abusive sales experience I've ever encountered. Was referred to them as the dealer for Marvin. The salesperson repeatedly lied about competing products: overstated their prices; implied there were health hazards and businesses were removing them (they weren't); showed material about old class actions against competitors and claimed Marvin had never been sued over window quality (they have); even presented models of cheap lines from competitors to disparage their engineering -- ignoring the fact those lines were far cheaper than Marvin -- and didn't show the lines that cost-compete with Marvin. The kicker came when he quoted me the price. He demanded I sign the same day, threatening a 20% increase in the cost of my project if I didn't. I refused, rejecting both eighteen month same as cash financing (nearly $1,000/mo for my project), and their ultra-high-interest long-term financing (which has such a high rate that he refused to even share the rate with me). He insinuated that I was an idiot for not replacing my windows, and nothing could possibly be more important. He said it'd be ridiculous for me to not replace them. I have several other projects for my house, so I listed those. Magically, he could "save" the window discount for me if I agreed to a contract on my other project. I had him bid it, and what do you know, it came out almost as expensive as the windows! I sent him out the door with no sale and will never use Amazing Exteriors for a home improvement project, ever. If this is how potential clients are treated, I shudder to imagine how a client who's already parted with their money will be treated. From start to finish the amazing exteriors team did exactly what they said they would do. The sales rep was on time and respectful. I love the fact that to do colors on my windows wasn't 75% more of the price unlike every other company in DFW. When they told me that it was like $250 more rather than $2500 I was ecstatic. Also the install time wasn't 6-8months out. They also showed me Accordian style doors, collapsible sliding glass doors, siding, & they are about to start bathrooms!!! Truly AMAZING experience! They replaced our 40 year old siding on our 2-story home with HardiePlank. The second story has siding on 3 sides...quite a large area. Amazing Exteriors installed an extra layer of insulation between the wrap and planks (standard procedure for Amazing). Only company that offers this product and it lowered our temperature upstairs by 10-15 degrees on these hot 105 degree summer afternoons. Looking forward to lower electric bills. The whole process was excellent. The design consultant worked with us to not only choose the correct colors and board types but also custom designed a pattern for our porch. We love it! The installers were very professional. Always in a good mood and working hard to get our project finished in the hottest part of the summer. They even were able to conceal our TV and phone wires. No more ugly wires all over the siding!!! And they replaced our gutters too. Perfect match to trim. If we could give them 10 stars we would. We definitely recommend Amazing Exteriors. We were told the doors would be installed in 3 to 4 months. It is now month 5, and the doors have yet to be installed. I was told I would have a schedule within 1 to 2 days, and yet one week has passed and I still don't have a schedule for installation. Neither the company, nor the engineer called to schedule a time with us; he just showed up. The company has had the doors for 2 weeks, but they are waiting for the engineer's report before they can schedule the installation. The engineer should have been scheduled while they were waiting for the doors to arrive, rather than waiting for the doors to arrive and then furthering the delay. The salesperson was quick to take our deposit. He even came late in the evening to get the check; however, the production staff is not quick to respond. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. This has been the worst home "improvement" experience that I have ever had. I hired this company to replace some rotten masonite siding that was installed when the house was built thirty years ago. After meeting with the salesman (Mike who was very nice) I waited several months for the project to begin (I was told they had to order materials). The project involved replacing siding on a back upstairs wall as well as five dormers. To make a very long story short, I have had nothing but problems with the install and the paint job. They took shortcuts on the install including layering siding on top of old siding and flashing around an arched window, instead of removing the flashing to lay the new siding flush, then replacing the flashing as I was told they would do. This made the new siding boards appear undulating and uneven. There were exposed nail heads everywhere. They completely forgot to do one of the dormers, requiring me to chase them down as they were driving away. They hurriedly did the dormer, and in doing so miss cut several trim boards causing crooked out of plumb trim. Then the paint crew showed up and quick sprayed one coat of paint and drove off. Painted over exposed nails instead of countersinking and filling them. Failed to paint the undersurface of the siding boards. Failed to apply primer (which was in the contract). Very sloppy caulk job. In a nutshell, it was a terrible looking install and very poor paint job. Multiple service visits to supposedly fix these issues have been haphazard. Some things get "fixed" but others get overlooked. Worse, they promise that they need to totally redo the job to make it right, then when they show up they seemingly forget everything they promise and just try to do the quickest, cheapest quick fix that they can get away with. After multiple visits I still have poorly fitting siding, splotchy thin paint with no primer in many areas, sloppy caulk, and a missed area of paint (after three trips by the painters. I emailed the local company head with concerns over a month ago and never received a reply. I am really not that hard to please, simply do the work that you promised to do and do it in a quality manner. Needless to say, I will never use this company again. read more

Amazing Exteriors Dallas has been anything but amazing for our window replacement. They made us a lot of promises about their windows and service that simply are not true: - They said the windows would only take about 6 weeks to arrive; we waited 3 MONTHS. - They promised us copies of our work orders and any changes to work orders; the emails never came despite several emails and phone calls to the salesman and the office staff. - They promised us regular status updates; I finally had to call over 2 months later to check the status of the order. - They promised us a stellar work crew; while the first crew was friendly and did good work, I had to review the entire job with them, because they were given illegible work instructions written in shorthand without all the pictures from the salesman's laptop. Also, the second crew left a mess in our office. - They promised us custom-fitted windows and screens; some screens have gaps (one of which was fixed 3 months after the work date). - They promised us precision in getting us the windows that we want; they ordered and installed a sliding window going in the wrong direction despite our explaining to both the salesman and the measurement person exactly what we wanted - AND THEY STUCK US WITH THE BILL FOR THEIR ERROR. - They promised top-quality windows; one of the windows had a defect that prevented us from opening it and another had a damaged screen (fixed 3 months later) - They promised us savings on our AC bill through the Texas summer heat; we realized NO SAVINGS on our bill. - Instead of having a job done in a couple of months, it took over 6 1/2 MONTHS from order to final completion. The installing crew could not have been more professional and courteous. The inside support was great as well. My only caveat is in the sales process. In 2011, I had them put new Marvin windows in our two story home. I loved their work then and still do today. The windows look good as new after 8 years. But what prompted this review is their continued commitment to customer service. On two occasions, one recently, my window washers have mishandled the screens and lost the spring loaded mounting clips. Twice now I have called Amazing Exteriors and they have immediately mailed me multiple new clips for no charge, and done so graciously. First class in my book. read more

We had Hardie board install last year. Mostly sofits, trim and facia. Overall it looks a lot better than before. However, my issues with this company is the following. 1. Clean up debris was all over the yard and they did not do a good job cleaning it all up( I cleaned a lot of it up). 2. We just put in new sod, I asked them to maybe cut the boards on sidewalk or driveway. They did not, there was sawdust all over the yard, etc. 3. I don't think they properly replaced the gutter screens-so will prob have to have the gutter company come back out and fix. 4. 3 new flood lights were not installed properly, took multiple attempts for them to fix. 5. Been trying for a year to have them come out and attach cable back to the house that was not re-attached. Sales rep was amazing, lots of promises, however lesson learned, do not pay anyone till you are completely happy. These are minor things but overall leaves me with a bad impression of the company and don't think I would recommend them based on lack of follow up trying to get things resolved. read more
