    Kitchen after

When we bought our home in San Clemente 2 years ago, it still had the original, poorly designed 1971 kitchen, so we knew we would eventually do a kitchen/dining room remodel. We interviewed a few contractors but it only took one meeting with Julie for us to know that Preferred Kitchen and Bath was the company we would go with. In our first appointment with Julie she gave us a very good visual idea of what our new kitchen/dining room could look like, which went a long way in helping us make our decision. The other companies did not. Julie has an impeccable sense of design and with many years in the business she can just look at a space and "see" the potential. She always had a great ideas and also welcomed our input as well. I feel they are very reasonably priced. Preferred Kitchen and Bath is "one stop shopping". They made it so easy to select cabinets, counters, and hardware. They also handle all the various trades scheduling including demo, plumbing, drywall, electrician, appliance installation. So it really prevented a lot of headaches on our part. Suzy the Project Manager and Derek the Contractor, keep everything moving along smoothly and always kept us informed. They did their best to stay to their schedule. Any delays we experienced were Covid related supply line issues. All of the craftsmen on her team are experts in their field and have been with Preferred for many years, which I think speaks volumes. She and her entire team are friendly and professional and very easy to work with. Julie and her team were able to take our old, ugly, dis-functional kitchen and dining room and turn it into a beautiful, functional, livable space.

We bought a 30 year old custom built home with a beautiful ocean view, but it was in dire need of an update. The original design had the kitchen closed off from the rest of the home with walls blocking the ocean views. The powder room looked more like a dark closet and the master bathroom was dated. Adding to the challenge, the flooring in the main hallways was Flagstone! My wife and I interviewed many capable contractors, however, we found they just lacked the vision of what we wanted to accomplish. Enter Preferred Kitchen and Bath. Julie Wu, the owner, has exceptional vision and taste. She was extraordinarily creative and helpful throughout the process of the design of the kitchen, dining room, family room, library, powder room and master bathroom. When you start on a major project like this, it can be intimidating and having an experienced, thoughtful guide was just what we needed and what we got when we selected Julie and her team. Our job involved some structural elements, removing shear walls and installing a couple of glulam beams. We could not have been more pleased and impressed with the construction crew. Every remodel will have complications, and Jose and his team were always able to find a way to resolve any issues that surfaced. We were REALLY pleased with the craftsmanship and professionalism of the construction team. The cabinet installer, Alex, is truly excellent. We made a couple of last-minute adjustments on the cabinet installation, and he was able to make it look seamless. When you're contemplating a remodel, make sure you are teaming up with a reputable company and true partner in your project. That is exactly what we got when we chose Preferred Kitchen and Bath. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of the project and are VERY grateful to Julie and her team who transformed our home into a true showcase.

It was great working with julie and her team. Everyone was very professional and thorough and we couldn't be happier with the end result! We were able to get exactly what we wanted and can't recommend them more! Everyone kept the space clean while trying to move through the project quickly to get us functional as soon as possible. Most people complain of delays or extended times with construction but we finished on time and without too much interruption to our daily lives. Thank you preferred kitchen!

We cannot say enough good things about Suzy and the entire crew at Preferred. From initial design through demolition and installation, they ran a very organized project with specific crews for each part of the remodel. Large crews were on-site every day and they regularly worked more than 8 hours each day so as to quickly complete the project. If you're considering a kitchen remodel, talk to Suzy Sparks!!!

We stopped by their showroom about three to four times to pick out the tile, countertop, cabinets, etc. and each time Tim was very accommodating and patient. He assisted but was not overbearing at all in terms of helping us choose what would look best and gave some great tips and points. Our master bathroom was more than just a facelift, we removed a closet, extended the bathroom, fixed a leak, moved some plumbing and electrical, etc. Each crew member we interacted with was extremely professional, did the work quickly and professionally, and Sam the foreman was helpful in answering all of our questions. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the end product. Tim and his entire team are very patient, communicative, and we will likely use EKB again when we get our other bathrooms and kitchen redone.

A special thank you to Tim for creating such a beautiful and functional kitchen design that truly brought our vision to life. Walter did an amazing job with the cabinet installation -- everything was installed with great attention to detail and craftsmanship. Silas handled the countertop installation flawlessly, and the island waterfall looks incredible. Finally, thank you to Sam for completing the final installation touches and making sure everything came together perfectly. It was a pleasure to get to know all of them. The whole process was smooth, professional, and well-coordinated from start to finish. We are so happy with our new kitchen and truly appreciate everyone's hard work. Highly recommend!

We're in the middle of moving into and remodeling/ renovating our home. The house has beautiful…read morehard wood and stone floors but the bedrooms, closets, stairs and this kind of funky, stand alone, third floor room have such gross old carpeting in them. So our first plan of action is obviously getting rid of the carpet flooring and putting wood flooring in the rooms and marble in the closets. The funky room isn't fully enclosed and has pony walls going around the front half of it that overlook part of the house- mainly the living room- we had the idea of turning this into a playroom for our little one and really wanted to get it done by his birthday- problem we had less than a week to get everything done. We found G&A flooring- called- spoke to Brandon and told him our situation, he said okay hold on let me call you right back- he moved some stuff around- we went in the following day found a gorgeous light natural colored wood flooring that even had the slightly knotted look I wanted and two days before our little one's birthday they'd installed the wood flooring and they did an AMAZING job! The team he sent literally stayed from morning until almost 8pm to finish the job including new baseboards and painting them. We have now used them to do another room in the house, redo a staircase landing where a mini demo had to happen because of a leak and the guys who did the demo absolutely destroyed the wood flooring- we found 5 XL planks in our garage left over of the original flooring and G&As guys cut these to a T, without even a scrap left and did an AMAZING job at putting the floor back together and making it look like nothing had happened. They also just laid the marble down in both master bedroom closets and omg the difference it's made. They are EXTREMELY fair priced I cannot tell you how many joke companies have come in seen our home and tried to absolutely rob us- telling us the wood they're using is the highest quality stuff in "the game" right now and with installation and the rush installment they could do a room for $15,000. LMAO. I told this to Brandon and he not only told me the flooring they were trying to install was basically shit but he can install actual high quality wood done at unbelievably fair pricing- $2,000 for everything- materials, flooring, new baseboards and painting them, labor- everything. Four other companies with the same product gave us bids ranging between $3,900-$7,000 and then the obvious psycho with his crap material and his $15,000 bid lol Brandon also goes the extra mile with his clients-since Marble is one of the most expensive floorings to have done, he came out to our home a few days before the job and measured the areas to a T to make sure he didn't order a box over what we needed to keep the price as low as possible. We'll never not go to this company and this is after going to 11 different companies altogether in the area. G&A always has the most competitive/ fairest pricing, beautiful flooring (what we're looking for every time!) and gets jobs done within a week tops (usually only a few days) of having chosen the flooring. G&As teams that do the installations are also all amazing guys, hard workers, very respectful, extremely knowledgeable and they even fixed a door frame for us today free of charge. Absolutely recommend these guys and looking forward to them finishing the rest of our house. Thank you for everything!

I was really worried that a dark color would be hard to keep clean but the color is so beautiful I couldn't pass it up. Keeping it clean is actually amazing - you only need to use a dust mop and a bona wet mop pad dampened with warm water and it cleans up quickly and easily. Kevin at G&A was great to work with - he met all of his commitments, he came in before, during and after install. The install team was very efficient and did a great job. The baseboards also look fantastic. Kevin was so helpful in suggesting a solution for a design issue we had with the stair landing and it came out great. There was a small issue after install that required the install team to return and replace a portion of the floor. Kevin and the install team took care of this the very next day, and the repair was seamless. I really appreciated Kevin's attention to the project from start to finish. I highly recommend G&A flooring.

I just walked out of the showroom and I am on Cloud Nine. SO relieved the search is over. I spent over an hour, looking up and down aisles and doubling back to look again and asking a bazillion questions. Multiple times an employee gently asked if I needed help and gladly stayed to answer my questions or moved on if not. Omar was trapped behind a workstation so couldn't escape me, but he answered every question with a smile, and Josh was beyond helpful with walking back n forth to ascertain the drawer pull sizes I wanted and giving me the estimate.
