Bought a car for my daughter and got a terrible interest rate from the dealer on a 5 year loan making my payments out to be $439 a month. I was referred to Premier and esp Yolanda to buy out the existing loan and take a new loan through Premier America. BEST move ever! Met with Yolanda the day after we purchased the car (with crap loan!) and Yolanda was able to get me a loan with payments just over $100 a month! We had several issues communicating with the original car dealership and Yolanda answered all my emails quickly and assured me once we received the registration, everything will move forward and happen. This review is long overdue and it is specifically for the best customer service representative Carly S that I've ever spoken with over the course of my lifetime. In fact, I don't think I've ever written a review like this, so more on Carly in a bit. The overall details of my initial experiences with anyone from the Premier America at 521 N. Hollywood Way other than after 7 phone calls of which they would not return calls they said they would or completely refuse to help with the most basic request which is the following. My Mom passed away a year ago. She was a 30 employee and I drove to this branch almost 50 miles from where I live to close out her accounts. I brought all documents required and as her son and beneficiary, all accounts were closed as they should be for a deceased person right? So I thought. Until a year later and I get a statement showing here account was still open, they were charging a $10 a month service fee because it was under the minimal amount required in their checking account, which is absurd considering she is no longer alive. She was also hospitalized over the last two years of her life so she added me to her account so I could handle all of her billing payments. I mention this because somehow a friend who Zelle'd me $100 ended up in her account which was supposed to be closed as of July 2023. So is it unreasonable to request the return the $100 to the original sender? I was told specifically by Zelle that the receiving bank had the ability to do so. There was also a monthly dividend showing up in my Mom's account which they were deducting the $10 a month from. So I also request they close out my Mom's account again. What do they tell me? No, we can't do that. You have to go to court to get documents to prove this and have it certified or notarized, I can't remember which. Just mindless to me for them to expect me to go do all the driving and time consuming work to court for the error they made. So enough with the bad and the unnecessary near 3 hours of time on the phone over the course of a month. Then along comes Carly on my 8th call back. She actually listened to the scenario described and agreed. It wasn't about the money for me. It was about just doing what was right. Carly then went about finding out how to make it work and told me she would call me back by the end of the day, which she did. Carly also provided the best customer service I've ever experienced by, 1. Carly got the Zelle money returned to the original sender. 2. She also was able to have my Mom's account closed, and to my amazement not only went about sending me the $90 or so dollars in her account that remained but also the previous monthly $10 dollars they had charged over the last year! In closing, if you ever need help with any matter involving Premier America, do yourself a favor and request Carly S immediately. She will really listen and try to genuinely help you while also proving outstanding customer service. I hope she goes far in whatever she aspires to do. Carly is the best!!! read more

I have had fantastic experiences with this Credit Union since I've moved to the area 9 years ago. My go to branch was the old one on Madera (I miss the cookies served!). It has been a smooth transition to the one at the Simi Town Center as well (still miss the cookies though). Heck, I've been so pleased with them I encouraged our schools PTA to move our account there (no more fees for our non-profit!) The tellers are always kind and take the time to ask about my day, nails, phone, weather, vacations, children, etc. But today takes the cake! I received a mystery thank you card in the mail. She was so nice, so professional, so inviting, and just overall the best banker in the universe. Most bankers are robotic and don't care about the customer. But NOEMI address all my banking needs and took care of my concerns in a timely manner. The phone service here was great. I previously called other branches and they never answer the phone right away. I guess they were busy , but I needed something taken care of right away. And NOEMI made my day. I have been a member with premier for over 10 years and have never had to complain but unfortunately I have to now. I am so glad that the Tapo location is open again so I never have to go here again and see the manager Catalina . She is very rude and unprofessional. I think branch managers should make you feel welcome and not make derogatory comments on your personal appearances Also managers should be working with members not just standing around talking employees about nonsense. I went to their local branch in simi to report that my husband had passed and I needed to take the loan over. They took a copy of the death certificate and promised to call me later because they didn't know what to do. They called me a couple of days later to tell me that my options were to refi the truck, trade it or pay it off but they did give me 30 days. So much for taking care of their clients when they are grieving the loss of their spouse. I wouldn't never use them again. The truck was been paid every month. I was just trying to do the right thing. And the extra 30 days they "gave me", its because we made extra payments. Never AGAIN! read more

I have been there a long time, but since they recently moved there is only inconvenience and poor service. I really do not like their new location. There seems to be a large turnover because every time I come back into town there is a new branch manager. Today they would not deposit my check from a trust and I only recognized two tellers. I was going to have to drive to another bank before closing just to get the check deposited. This was super inconvenient especially since I had been there over 12 years. I was going to have to deposit it into my relatives' bank account in Citibank because Citibank never gives me any problems. They also have people who have been there a while and know me and my family. Even though I don't have a bank account Citibank on Sycamore always accommodates. I will be closing my account at Premier as soon as all my checks have cashed. I just find it difficult when the personnel are distrusting of the clients as well as the high employee turnover there. I am going to open an account at Citibank since they know my whole family and have never given me problems. read more

Im a little shocked by all of the positive reviews posted for the simi town center premier america, but when my poor review mysteriously was taken down from yelp I had to wonder if they flagged or reported it (possibly like others). Overall I would describe this branch as unprofessional, lacking in knowledge as related to their job duties, unwilling to help customers, and slow as molasses. I was quoted two days turn around for an auto loan and ended up waiting two weeks. Then I had to drive 30 minutes away to the corporate office to pick up the final check because they were unable to process their part of it in time. At first I thought that they were intentionally not processing the paperwork because of how long very simple tasks were taking, but now I'm more of the opinion that they just really don't know what they're doing. Miles above and beyond the major chain banks I've dealt with. Its near impossible to create a personal relationship with a major national bank. Premeir offer business accounts which is an extra plus as my other credit union doesnt and many dont. If they were closer to me I'd give them 5 star. Shared branches dont allow for timely deposits so that is one drawback. read more

As a former banker and credit union employee (not here), I was so disappointed with the merger process from Telesis. There were so many mistakes, promises they were fixed and mistakes again. Letters threatening to send us to collection (we owed $0 on our overdraft line, they kept mistakingly charging fees that used overdraft and not sending statements so we kept finding their error with threatening letters). There was actually so much more that went wrong, but account closed and lesson learned! Getting great service at another credit union in town! read more

I was with Telesis for almost three years, I had no issues with Telesis, When Premier America took over Telesis everything went down the toilet. This company does not care about the customer, the employees are stuck up and not knowledgeable. The only employee that was nice was Imelda and yet after the "Premier take over" she had to retire, This company is not honest and whenever you visit their branch it's always a hassle.
