    Dry Cleaned Comforter

I came in last Tuesday and this was my first time at a cleaners ever - I needed my comforter dry cleaned and my wedding dress clean/pressed & packaged. The owners daughter helped me out and she was so kind and helpful and guided me through the whole process. She really took the time to explain everything and eased my anxiety. She listened to my concerns and what I wanted done and provided me with a quote before they began service. I went in today to pick up my comforter and WOW! It feels cleaner and softer than when we first bought it. I can't wait to see how my wedding dress will look. It's been sitting in my closet for almost 3 years and they didn't give me a hard time about it. I will recommend this family owned business to anyone looking!! 10/10

    Wedding Dress Preservation Box

I brought my wedding dress to be cleaned and preserved in a box and they did an amazing job here. They cleaned it and had me come in to make sure I was satisfied with the job. They did great work. Once I saw it they boxed it all up in a couple of days. The box is beautiful. It can be opened to view the dress through a window and seals back up. They then put that pretty box in another shipping like box and sealed it all in plastic. Amazing work. My dress definitely feels preserved and I can open it up to view it anytime I want. So happy with the service.

Dirty button they added to my jacket

Firstly, front desk lady was not very friendly. She acted like me being there was an inconvenience to her. She was also a bit difficult to understand. Secondly, while I did show up 30 min early, they told me to come back in an hour as it was still being worked on. I had dropped off my jacket days in advance... Lastly, but most importantly, the quality of the work was extremely disappointing. The new button hole was not well done - maybe they rushed it, or maybe it's more difficult than I understand it to be. What's inexcusable is that the new button was filthy... I also expected them to change the old ones out to match the new one, which I thought was discussed with the front desk lady, but apparently not. I was going to give them 1 star, but my wife was happy with the work they did sewing up the seam split in her pants. If San Marcos isn't too far for you, I'd recommend Pleats for alteration services instead. Also, I had communicated with this business via yelp beforehand but when I showed up they didn't have a clue what I was there for.

They charge $25 for this crappy strap shorten job! My 6 year old niece could do better than that.

I'm furious about the horrible service I experienced and the appalling prices they charge!!! I dropped off a casual summer dress for a very simple hem and shorten of the straps. This is a simplistic job that shouldn't have cost more than $25, and yet they charged $60!!! More importantly, was that when I dropped it off, I specifically asked the guy how much and he told me $35 hem and $15 straps. I told him that was too much and he said someone would call me the following day with a quote BEFORE DOING THE WORK!!! I told him to make sure they called because I was going to pick it up and do it myself if it was more than $35. I'm out of a job, so I can't afford to be spending a lot. No one called the next day, so I called them and left a message saying to call me before doing the work. STILL, no one called me back. When I picked it up the following day, after they did the work... they were trying to charge $60! She did offer 10% off for the mixup, but that doesn't really help me much, since I have no choice now but to pay the $54, which is way more than I wanted to spend. This is such bad business practices. I'm so upset because they put me in a bad position. Plus, look at the straps and you tell me if that shitty little seam is worth $25?! BS. They are out of integrity. If a customer asks you to call BEFORE doing the work, so they know if they can afford it, you better call. You're putting my finances at risk. Totally unprofessional.

Had my dress altered just in time for my sororities formal!

Oh where do I even begin! From efficiency to customer care to having my items PERFECTLY altered/ cleaned, Premier Cleaners & Alterations is THAT PLACE. I was referred to this place from a friend when I had TWO DIFFERENT DILEMMAS. As you can see, I'm not from the west coast and had to get my items altered in a short (BUT REASONABLE ) amount of time! They were so understanding and they did not let me down at all, they SAVED ME. I had to get ready for a sorority formal during a conference and my dress had to be altered and what did they do, THAT. They altered my dress and I was so happy with the result. On top of that, they were just the ABSOLUTE SWEETEST! So of course when it came to my first Coachella I decided to shop my outfits last minute and needed to get them altered within that same week. Of course I went back to this place because its one I trust and they are so precise with their detailing and alterations. I wish they can be my permanent cleaners and alteration and honestly with their service and their work, I probably should start sending my things to here! LOL

My "white" wedding dress after being cleaned by Premier Cleaners.

I brought my wedding dress in to be cleaned and this is how it came out. I had to bring it to another dry cleaner to get the yellow stain out of my dress. The Premier Cleaners manager said that the discoloring was due to dust and oil stains that spreaded into my dress while being cleaned. They repeatedly told me the same excuse and I asked if other brides have the same problem. They said no but why is my wedding dress like this? After some back and forth, Premier cleaners did refund my money but the damage is already done. The yellow stain hasn't came out. Additionally they tore a slit in my dress. Stay away from them if you have expensive clothing that you want to keep intact.

I needed a dress for a company Christmas party and was having a hard time finding something to wear with my 6-months-pregnant belly. Nothing I owned fit right and working full time still didn't leave me much time for shopping. I found a dress online and ordered a size up. I brought it in for alterations and was very happy with the results. She gave me a few options on how she could alter it at different prices. She really knows her stuff. I got it back in great time and her work looked flawless. Very happy and will be returning!

My dress needed the straps to be shorter and my slit was sewed since it was rather high. I also added sleeves to my dress and she did an amazing job! With the extra fabric, she offered to make two pocked squares as well. My sister and I had a very small window in which we needed alterations for her bridesmaid suit and my dress. They got them BOTH done so fast and the work was incredible. Aside from the work, they have great customer service which seems to be hard to come by these days. Highly recommend this place! Would definitely return. More info on cost: I paid $138 for the slit to be sewed, straps to be shorter, added sleeves, plus two pocket squares. My sisters alterations to her suit were nearly the same amount

"How did this ever happen??!", noticing a buttonhole that needed a small amount of repair. She automatically took the shirts and hung them up on her to-do rack making it somewhat uncomfortable for me to say thanks, but no thanks. It was then I wanted to know how much the bill would be, and she replied $24. I then grabbed the shirts off of her rack and bid her a good day. I have seen this same tactic used at different types of repair shops where the owner overly dramatizes what needs to be done and takes possession of the item prior to discussing the charge or getting approval. In sales that's called the assumptive close, where they act as though they assume you will approve the work and pay their price for the very minimal effort required. Don't fall for it. I have just now received a response from the lady's husband indicating that I must have visited a different shop and mistakenly thought I was in theirs. Absolutely not possible as I've been in several times in the past. Perhaps showing the shirts will refresh her memory and also defend my own. For full disclosure, the green shirt does have a small half-inch rip on the back side.

Updating with photos!…read more This is the 2nd time I've come to Rivers for really odd projects - the first time I bought this sunshade online and it turned out to be so flimsy, I needed a 2nd shade as a backing. Came to Rivers and they did exactly as asked. The 2nd was a jacket for when I'm working at home and any of the 3 pups want to take turns to join my meetings! You know how THOSE goes! I tried to browse online and while the sweaters were cheap, the taxes were a killer! So I bought two, $7 sweaters from Goodwill, showed Abuela the design and she totally nailed it! Plus if you're a dog lover, Abuela had a cute puppy in store with her Support your local artisans!

She didn't patch them but instead she sewed them really bad. Guy got in my face when I said I didn't like it. Said he was calling the cops because I asked for a refund. I basically paid them to ruin my jeans. He kept calling me a child and said if he were to refund me he'd have to keep the jeans, which made absolutely zero sense. He also implied that I was stupid for assuming they tailor by hand. If I'd known they just throw clothes under the sewing machine and sew with their eyes closed, I would've just done it myself, maybe it would've come out better. This place sucks, and it's my fault for not reading the reviews prior to this. Maybe it was better before, but the current owner genuinely sucks. **Editing my review since he wants to reply and act like he was a victim** I went in calmly and he laughed at me for asking him to fix it. He kept insisting that I said I wanted it to be perfect despite me repeatedly saying that I wasn't saying that, and when I'd ask him to stop putting words in my mouth, he'd again scoff and laugh. All I asked was that the jeans be fixed. Anybody would be upset seeing some stranger treat them the way he treated me. We came to a conclusion that he personally would sew the pants, and risky as it was, I left them there. 2 months later and they weren't sewn, just thrown in the back and left to be forgotten. So I took my pants and the loss. Clearly his response is enough to show that he can never take blame for a job poorly done. Take your business elsewhere, might be a bit pricier, but worth the peace of mind knowing that your clothes won't be treated like garbage and that the tailor will actually care about the quality they put out.
