Since the new ownership customer service has declined. After second clothing lot pick up- My husband was missing a favorite dress shirt of his. We double checked vehicle and closet and dry cleaned clothes after pick up to no avail- did not get shirt returned by Joys Cleaners. So we called Joy's Cleaners to inquire about the missing button down shirt. The man was very rude, impatient and unprofessional and unwilling to even 'look' to see if they still had the shirt just went straight on the defense rudely hanging up after I asked would he "please just check for it?" We will never patron this business again. Parking is tight to get in and out of. Will take our business anywhere but here. They saw their last dollar from us. read more

Wonderful Christmas decorations on the ceiling. The servers are friendly and know their ice-cream flavors well. You can even taste all the flavors before you decide what to get. Liked that do much for it was not rushed. Good experience! As long as you don't mind the long line outside to get in. They are quick and efficient as well, I had about 12 items, some were special dry cleaning and the turnaround time was a couple of days. She even asked if I wanted it earlier. I was taking a chance because some of the sweaters were over $2k each and it's always risky with cashmere and going to new establishments period. I have been going to Joys for years but never got around to writing a review. My recent visit was to have a pair of jeans altered. I called first thing in the morning to ask about same day service. I was told if I bring it in now they can have it done after 3pm. The jeans were done at 3pm as mentioned. Service is awesome! They do their best to accommodate. Service here was good... I only received dry cleaning services from them. My items were ready before the date I was quoted but the price for dry cleaning is through the roof. I'm sure it is expensive anywhere but it definitely caught me off guard. I had a throw blanket and two jackets and it was $49. Customer for 7+ years and they had the audacity to charge me over $30 for 2 small holes and 1 baby hole on my work pants. They cost around that price if that's the case I can just buy a new pair of pants instead of taking them there or find a new place. It used to cost me $15 to get them fixed there. Waaaaayyy over priced. They clearly don't care about the customers. Also my jacket is still very much stained and it's the same jacket I been taking there every time it gets dirty. I started using Joys this year sicne I got a new job which consisted of me getting suits and slacks. So I started getting them tailored there. However, about 5 times they have tailored some of my pants and they've become unstitched which has resulted in me returning and getting them hemmed again. Each time I was accommodated which was nice. However about a month ago I brought some pants to get tailored like usual. When I got home, they were still long. Since I had to leave the state, I couldn't go back and talk to them about it so I called the store. The male owner answered who responded to bring them in (however I couldn't since I was leaving). After the month, I went and talked to the male owner and brought up our phone call but I think due to the language barriers we weren't understanding eachother. So I went ahead and just paid for it to get altered again. Came back a couple days later, it was ready. I picked it up and brought it home thinking not much of it. But something told me to try them on. I did, and to my surprise they were still long. I immediately took them back to the store (literally not even 10 min later) I tried to explain to both the male and female owner that I had just picked them up and that at this point I just wanted the refund. The female owner told me she remembers me bring them in and trying them on with heels which is why they were long. I look at her and was shocked, I DONT OWN A SINGLE PAIR OF HEELS! I let her know that I don't own a pair of heels. When discussing the refund with her, she looked at the itemized receipt. On the receipt there were two pants that were hemmed that equated to 17 bucks. She told me she was going to give me back 6. MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE. I looked at her and I'm like no, 17 divided by two is 8.50. The male owner then jumped in and said that he didn't understand why I was going home to try them on instead of trying them on there. WTH am I suppose to do? Try every single pants I bring on before leaving? That's ridiculous and assuming people have that much time on their hands. Additionally he said that I was not going to get a refund since i had a history of coming back and getting the hemmed repaired.... He went on to say that the lady owner had 30 years of sewing experience. Okay so she can't make mistakes like she has with my slacks? Additionally they tried to charge me an additional 5 dollars to get it repaired! I let her know I was not going to pay an additional 5 dollars when I had originally paid for a service and they had not delivered. They then went ahead and told me it would be free. At this point I had no option but to oblige since I would not be getting my refund. Update: came back and they finally got it right. I told the male owner after he gave me the pair that I WOULD be trying them on in the store. He was surprised to say the least. But I was able to leave happy as they finally fixed it. With that said, sadly I will not be going back. After the way I was treated and gaslighted I made the decision to go elsewhere. If you're looking for a bit better service and tailor thoroughness I would say don't go here. You run the very high risk of not getting your money back or moneys worth. read more

I took my daughter's dress to shorten and her Girl Scouts vest to sew the patches on as the glue method was not holding. Told $14 for the dress, but wouldn't tell me a price for the vest. 48 patches to sew and he said, "I normally charge $4 per patch, but I'm going to make you a deal." Never having dropped off an order myself, I left some garments under our family account, asking for a rushed order. The attendant was extremely professional, kind and considerate offering to give me a call as soon as they were ready, the earliest being 2 days before their normal turn around. Sure enough, I receive a call 2 days later, and upon walking in, am immediately called by our name, without giving them my order number. I've been coming here for several years for various alterations mostly because it's close to our house and I've always been happy. Today I'm elated because they were able to hem a shower curtain in less than an hour for me and they initially quoted me for a next day pickup which is super fast anyway. I was so amazed! I found this Annie via Yelp and I am completely being genuine when I say that I do not know what I would do without the existence of something like Yelp. After reading the reviews I knew I was putting my vintage delicate lace wedding dress into good hands as I rushed to get it dry cleaned, get a bustle sewn and alter the lace sleeves and the length in time for my Fall wedding. I wore a very delicate vintage lace wedding dress that is from the 50's. The dress was boxed properly but it did had have some yellowing due to years in storage. Initially, I was having apprehension on finding the right person to do the alteration knowing that it could make or break the whole appearance. Especially on such a vintage and delicate piece. Annie was kind and helpful in advising me that she will do her best in making the dress as my own. Needless to say, she did that and more! She did such an excellent job and definitely exceeds all my high expectations. Her pricing surprised me as I am sure she could have charged me much more given her experience and delicacy in altering and cleaning such vintage dress. This is my first time using this dry cleaner and it was a joyful experience. I was greeted immediately as I dropped my dress off on Monday morning to have it cleaned and pressed. I prepaid for it and was told I could pick it up the following day. I picked it up Tuesday evening and was still greeted and in and out super quickly. The only negative thing it my dress still had a lot of lint on it and she said they used a lint brush several times, but because of the fabric I would need to lint brush it again. Since I am taking it out of town with me I am sure I will have to lint brush it again anyway. I don't take many items to the cleaners, but next time I need to I will certainly return here again!
