The lead tech, Gabe Jabbo, and his two helpers were all exceptionally polite and responsive to my needs, including a last-minute relocation of one of the outdoor units and the need to run an unplanned electrical connection. Install went very smoothly and they installed a thermostat of my choosing, even though they mostly support nest. They even fixed an issue with my downstairs vents where they weren't getting airflow (One of the splitters came undone in a wall). Post install is where this company shined: Both the AC and Furnace went awry shortly after install. Marco came out promptly and spent a good chunk of his time investigating the AC to see what went wrong and got it working again. I did end up finding out post install that the AC cut-off box switch was failing and needed replacement. The heater had a manufacturing error where they had to reduce a part twice. Overall. Very good work at a good price and stand by their work.

He offered to reimburse me for this experience and I respect that. He looked into the issue and he took accountability and that's not common. So I really appreciate how this situation was handled. I've had service with them several times throughout the years. I actually did end up signing up for…read morethe membership plan to get a discount on some larger replacements/maintenance I needed. I would consider the the plan more just prepaying certain services. They come check out AC and furnace twice a year. They now also include a plumbing inspection and water tank flush once a year which isn't a lot but convenient cuz I'm lazy. I see a lot of the bad reviews are about upselling and mention the home Depot deal. Found them through Google a couple years ago and not home Depot so I'm not sure if they send different people or what. With the plan they have been pretty consistent with calling and making sure I don't forget to do my scheduled maintenance and inspection. For a long time a guy name Justin came by the service me so they're always pretty consistent. Now it's switching over to Willie after a couple of years. For the service itself, they do take lots of pictures, explain things in details and show how your system is running objectively. They do help explain things in layman's terms if you're not familiar with it so the techs themselves are pretty good. Overall I would recommend for a customer focused experience that's pretty convenient.

A second company gave us a wide range of less ridiculous pricing, but no real answer to the issue and they never ended up coming back. With a wedding looming, we assumed we'd have to wait for the summer to save more money and maybe get lucky with some wedding gifts to help pay for it all. So glad I saw Surf Bros HVAC in the neighborhood and gave it another shot. Red actually diagnosed the issue on our unit, returned with the correct part on the same day, topped off our refrigerant, and helped me sort out the new controller I installed for way less than a thousand dollars. We feel like we won the A/C service lottery on this one, what a great find in 2026 when it's summer every other week.

I'm sure this cut some costs with remove/setup, but based on some research this is ideal as the weather can get down below 40 degrees where I live. We went with GVK due to this, the fact he took the time to answer all questions thoroughly and honestly, and they were able to install the next business day; got a quote on Friday afternoon and scheduled me for Monday to install the new system. The price was also very competitive with the other options. We did have a delay in starting as they had a mix-up on install dates and had to postpone one day. However, George called and apologized and offered a discount for the mistake and to charge our current system to help keep the house cool until they came out the next day, which I think reflects how he runs a customer focused business. When he did come out that day I had more questions about the setup and based on our discussion we changed the coil for more flexibility in moving the unit in the attic one day. It was pretty clear that George runs a solid business; he double checked they left no trash after leaving, his workers made sure to set up mats everywhere they worked inside, they let us know when they would be using louder tools (as we have a baby), and they stayed until the unit was fully installed which meant they stayed pretty late. I couldn't recommend them enough. George is really easy to work with, does a great job on the customer side and also steps in to do the work himself which is all reflected in the impressive reviews he has.

Once here, he was able to quickly identify the issue with our furnace with the description of issue and confirmed after a quick visual inspection of the related components. He went out of his way to help describe how we could self-service the specific part (if we wanted to do so) should the same issue occur in the future - a tremendous value-add to the experience. Cost quoted for some other work was extremely reasonable as well. George was also exceptionally pleasant to ask questions of and made it clear that getting the best use out of our existing system was the top priority for him/his business. If you want cheap work and your house FLOODED, call these guys…read more They were called out by my neighbor on a Saturday to replace a pipe that was leaking into my bathroom through a shared wall. The leak has already done sufficient damage on my side. They said it can hold off until Monday and they will put a clamp on it to stop the leak for a few days. Sounds great, right? The plumber begins the clamp process and bursts the pipe - the water begins GUSHING out all over my bathroom, out into my office and entryway, garage wall, etc. The plumber runs out and goes to the neighbors to shut off the water. You'd think they would shut off the water prior to doing any work on a pipe - but they claim this is not what they do. Now, my walls are wet, water is trapped under my new LVP floors and seeps out when we walk on it. My office computer that was on at the time is wet. I have a water mitigation process started ripping out everything in a house I've lived 6 months in. This is a complete disaster that started from us asking to repair an emergency pipe leak which they wanted to delay and put a bandaid on. They couldn't even put the bandaid on right. If this was my pipe, you'd be sure I'd be using a much more reputable plumber - you know the ones that have at a minimum a company logo on their car, introduce themselves properly and explain their license insurance, put boots on entering my house, have their own step stool not me providing one, etc. After all of this occured, I asked the soaked plumber for their company liability insurance which he couldn't provide. He brought out his supervisor who also wouldn't provide and said to call the owner on Monday because he's out of town to discuss. Left an owner a message asking for insurance or I call the state board, and an hour later the out of town owner shows up in my house. Owner refuses to share anything and said they'd only work with my neighbor who called them out - even though you were doing all your work inside MY house and flooded MY house. Hope you get the point about what kind of company and plumbers these are. Save yourself a headache and go with someone who is reputable and HONEST, please.
