I got a quote from a national plumbing company; they told me I have to replace the entire sewer line in the yard and under the house, requiring them to break up the concrete for a small fee of $30,000! Lots of fearmongering and warnings about the pipes being shot. They didn't even clean one clump of roots because they said they were worried the pipe was cracked underneath. It wasn't! I got a second quote from Formica Plumbing. The plumber, Jeff Poulos, was very honest and wondered why I thought I needed the sewer line replaced. After he cleaned out the roots, he showed me the video live; it looked clean with nothing cracked, broken, or misaligned like the other company had claimed. He did find that the inspection tee in the yard was broken and quoted $5,000 to fix it. A much better quote, but I wasn't done. I called the Cuyahoga County Sewer Department, and they fixed it FOR FREE!!!!! It's something they cover. I am beyond thrilled with this news! I had put down a deposit with Formica and they were very nice about refunding it, Jeff did his due diligence and called the county sewer department to learn more about what and where they cover and is putting it in the company system, so this doesn't happen to customers in the future. I am so pleased with my transaction with Jeff and Formica. They are honest and customer-focused, no scare tactics to get business, and no fixing what isn't broken. I highly recommend them; I will use them for all my plumbing needs. In this day and age, it is so refreshing to find honesty on this level. I feel like I won the plumbing lottery!

Butchered the second, requiring professional help. Turns out these cartridges should be changed every 5-10 years. Anyway, I won the lottery when Homer Johnson arrived to bail me out. Every step he took was solidly professional, from the removal of the old shower valve to the installation of its replacement, he had all the right tools and 100% of the knowledge to make them work correctly. I was also impressed with his measuring of the closet wall needing cutting open to expose everything. His carefulness in measuring allowed the wallboard piece to be repositioned so it hardly looks like it was ever moved. Anyway, hat's off to Homer and Kobella for making everything like new!

They even went above and beyond to work with my existing antiquated utilities. The mess left behind was no worse than that of other tradesmen I have hired (dust, greasy fingerprints, bootprints, etc). One of the men took one of my kitchen towels and used it as a rag without asking. It was then left balled up on the floor. I didn't even bother calling to complain about this, but in retrospect...* * * * This may have been a tactic to draw my attention away from the shelf where my personal belongings were stolen from.* * * * If you hire this company, get the full names of ALL of the workers who will be in your home. Google them before letting them in. If your gut tells you not to let them in, do not let them in. Do not take your eyes off them for a second. Do not allow one worker to distract you while the other(s) are unattended. If possible, place cameras, even around items of no/low value, kids' toys, knick-knacks, etc, even if they are too high up to reach normally. If you do not have video cameras, take before pictures of any room they have access to. Do not allow them to remove trash/debris from your home. Insist that they leave any garbage bags behind and check them thoroughly before throwing them away yourself. Take inventory of your belongings immediately. Record and photograph anything odd, even if it isn't something you would usually bother complaining about. If anything has gone missing, NO MATTER HOW LOW IN VALUE, file a police report. Now here we are in April 2026 my sub pump failed again. I called and was told that my previously purchased sub Pump was under a three-year warranty so I would not have to pay for a new sub pump just labor cost. Someone came out and told my husband the cost would be $450 to replace the sub pump and then suggested he buy a better sub pump with the labor would be $750. My husband requested I only want the sub pump I purchased with the warranty. I do not need the labor. The plumber then left refusing to give us our sub pump and said that's not how we do business. IT WAS NOT DOCUMENTED that it's only under warranty if their plumber replaces it. I've called and inquired of the sub pump we purchased and they told me they would get back to me and have never gotten back to me. They are in fact avoiding me Getting a Lawyer by the way!
