Excellent Service; take you luggage here for repairs, you can even purchase new suitcases here. There is very nice selection of new luggage and leather goods. I took my very new Samsonite Suitcase in because the expandable zipper slide came off after just one use. Joel and Ira are the most professional and kindest people you would ever want to meet. I live near JFK took my bag in on Tuesday 9/26/23 traveled the notorious Belt Parkway (a parking lot). Joel called me about 2 hours after dropping the bag off to say the repair is complete. I said I would pick up the bag the following week because I am not up to driving in the traffic agin so soon. They then offered to ship the suitcase to me via UPS for $5.00. The suitcase was delivered to me on Friday 9/29/23 repaired zipper perfect. Don't even think about it just go there with your luggage and leather repairs. read more

Friendly personable staff/owner. Brought in a Samsonite hard shell luggage a year ago with a broken roll-a-bout wheel for repair. On pick-up I was told he couldn't match the wheel and put a 2 wheel assembly on, replacing a single wheel assembly. It seemed adequate at the time so I accepted his word and work at the time. After only two trips the replaced wheels started to shred. On closer examination I saw that part of the shell cracked so I decided to do a DIY and take a deconstructed look. This is what I found. The external plate was mismatched, the screws (4 of them) were not uniform ( one was a Wood screw !) and washers were not used resulting in excess strain and cracking of the shell. There was internal duct tape used to cover up the shoddy work and keep any water from splashing in and raising interest. Then I went on-line and saw that proper replacement parts were actually available ! I ordered them and did the work myself. Actually quite simple enough and not justifying the $75 charge especially for a botched unprofessional job. This business may do retail and easy fixes well but can't be trusted to go the extra mile and do the proper repair work when needed. I wont be using their repair services again. read more

Overpriced and shoddy work. I went in for a zipper to be replaced in a 12" canvas carry bag. He charged me $45. When I went to pick up the bag, the guy kept talking about how great the work was that he does, but at the same time he didn't want to give me a receipt. A week later, the zipper teeth were buckling and the stitching was falling apart. I will have to take the bag somewhere else to have a new zipper installed. The amount of repaired luggage at Premier that is NOT PICKED UP is the the tipoff to how crappy their work is that they do. read more

I went here to get my Samsonite suitcase repaired after the top handle fell off. They were friendly, professional, and efficient when handling my repair. They originally estimated that the repair would take a few days, so I was happily surprised when I got a phone call hours later that my suitcase was ready for pickup. I cannot remember a time when I received such good customer service. I don't even live in NYC, I live in DC. The wheel on my suitcase broke and the only thing of worth Samsonite could do was give me the phone number for Premier Luggage. I am about to leave and send the wheel to PL, where the man I have been on the phone with swears he will do everything he can to fix it. I'm literally baffled by this can-do attitude and willingness to help (for what is not going to be a very lucrative bit of work). If the brick and mortar store is as lovely as the long distance assistance, this place is a 100% gem. read more

This store has been here for years. Years = Experience + Quality Service, its as simple as that. You can bring anything here for repairs, they are artisans that can fix anything. My favorite thing about Premier is their custom monogramming, I think I have become too obsessed with it. In their store they carry a large selection of briefcases, variety of luggage, book bags, wallets, and leather organizers. I have bought many wallets as gifts here and have had them monogrammed. They go above and beyond, and are the most reasonably price (by a long slide) repair center. Plenty of free parking and super caring and FASt. Dont even bother doing what i did, wastd 3 hrs and paid tolls to the city to have to come back. More details?; I had a list of 4 repair centers from Samsonite.com and since I live in queens and was looking for an emergency repair of my Samsonite Carry on for a week trip to London I called all of them. Ove rthe phone everyone is good but in person is a big difference. My luggage is an older model and 1 of the wheels had cracked in half). I went to Premier and they told me that the part was not covered but they went above and beyond. at the end it wsa repair in les than 2 hrs even though they did not have the parts and they changed the entire wheels case for the price of less than 1/3 of the price than in the city. I went to get a 2nd opinion as a colleague had a Samsonite that was covered and traveled 1 hr to the city and paid tolls, they said the same and charged me 3 times as much, I called another place in Brooklyn and they charged twice. I bought an inexpensive 8 piece luggage set more than 5 years ago and I love it, but during travel the handle of the largest piece broke. I refused to get rid of it because I was determine to find a place to repair it, that's when I Google luggage repair and found Premier. I dropped my piece off and in less than 5 days I received a call that it was ready. Today I picked it up....Wow! Unbelievable job they did. You can't even tell it was broken. I've been reading all the 5 star reviews and couldn't believe that this many people loved them until I had dealing with them. Let me tell you that all the 5 star reviews are true. I also had a piece of luggage with 2 broken wheels and contacted Premier and they where great. Joel went above and beyond to do his best to get wheels fixed.
