Visited Premier today and was completely blown away! With birds, cats, and a dog as family members, we bring in quite a few pet supplies each month. I've been increasingly dissatisfied with the lack of selection and service at the big box stores. Premier will offer everything I need plus unbelievable service. I have never encountered the number of brands or the fantastic knowledgable service in any other store. I was in a hurry. I needed charcoal and dog food so on the way home from work I ran into the market and then next door to Premier Pets. I was in a mission. I was met immediately by someone offering to help me. I didn't have time for that, just grabbing a bag thanks anyway. Got into the aisle though and stopped in my tracks. Choices! Seeing some specialty foods I paused, another offer to help from another employee. "ok, I have this odd Lab that is allergic to potatoes with a tendency to put on weight easily" I was directed to a bag of dry food with a Lab on the front and advertising No Potatoes prominently. So maybe my Lab isn't that odd after all. I just wasn't shopping at the right store. Then at check out I found myself standing next to a cooler of fresh foods. Pick up a bag of fresh chicken for my elderly cat and she loves it. I'm a new loyal shopper. read more

I can't say how endebbted I am to Premier Pet. This one time, at our house, I bought 2 guinea pigs from someone on Craigslist. I thought I was getting 2 guinea pigs. Period. Then, 4 months later, there were 5 guinea pigs. Then, 3 months later, there were 9 guinea pigs. Have you seen the Star Trek Tribble episode? Premier went above and beyond to take 6 piggies off our hands, gave the ones we were keeping a free nail trim, and then, to all of our suprise, the ones we gave them had even more piggies. So if you bought a piggie last year it probably was one of ours. They were so generous and helpful. They relieved us of a huge burden. I am forever their servant. read more

I found them when searching for some obscure pet food for my incredibly allergic boxer. What a special place....they know everything and could not be nicer. I even complained once about them discontinuing a monthly coupon(the food I buy is a fortune) and the owner called me to give me a special coupon...wonderful knowledgeable kind people. I have been shopping here since I got my dog in February. They have a deal worked out with a local shelter for some savings on your first trip after adopting a pet from them. I have been a loyal customer since that first trip, and I can't find a reason to shop anywhere else. The staff is extrememly friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They have been able to help with any issue I have come across, or at least been able to provide some valuable advice. You can tell they want the best for your pet. The awesome staff is a huge factor in why I continue to shop here. The store carries a wide range of products for all your needs. Whether you are looking for basic, premium or frozen raw food, they have it. Prices for their treats, toys, food and other items are competitive, if not better than some of the larger chain stores. Almost everytime I leave the store, I'm told "If (he doesnt like it/it doesn't work), just bring it back" Not only is it a fantastic store to shop at, but they do great things within the community. They host local shelters for adoptions and always seem to be donating food/goods/services to other programs. Not only do I love shopping here, but my dog loves coming here as well. He always gets a treat and loves the attention from other customers as well as the friendly staff. I love this place, at first I was hesitant because I'm on a budget and I thought the bigger chains are a bit cheaper but now I'm very loyal to Premier Pet Supplies! A lot of their products are the same price as Amazon, and there are several products my puppy is obsessed with that the chains don't have (including Honest Kitchen Fish Beams and Taste of the Wild dry and canned food). I would much rather my $ go toward a family business, and every single time I've come in I have had the best customer service I've probably ever had. They really care about customers (human and furry!), and give you all the time you need. I am a new puppy-mom so I have been a bit overwhelmed with options, but they always give me lots of advice and never seem annoyed or rushed when I ask silly questions. They have the biggest variety of (healthy) dog food that I've ever seen too. I will only go here from now on! read more

Premier Pet Supply is the best! I've been going to them since I moved to the area almost 20 years ago. As every review has said, the minute you walk in the store you are greeted like an old friend by one of the staff. If they see you looking lost in an aisle they immediately come over to see if you need help. And they always offer to carry your purchases out to the car. Frankly, I never cost compared with other stores because I just prefer their service and wide variety of cat foods, treats, litter, and toys. But reading that they also have the best price just makes it even better. They are a model of what we should all strive for in our businesses! Vast range of products! One of the very few places in town that carry Nutrisource brand specifically the grain free varieties. They also highlight Michigan made and USA made products.
