Premier is by far, the greatest pet store that I ever visited! The selection of pet foods, treats, toys, etc is great, but my favorite part about the store are the people that work there. They are amazing! Every one of the staff members are so knowledgeable on all of the products and have the best advice for any of your pet problems. I've been going to Premier Pet for a few years now, I can't really seem to find another store that rivals their service and products together. The people working at the store are always super friendly and knowledgeable. The owner (his name escapes me) is always there to help and really knows his stuff when it comes to dog food. My dog had been having problems with licking and biting at her paws and I couldn't seem to cure it no matter what I did. He suggested that she may have an allergy to chicken (which is apparently more common than you would think) and to try switching her food for a few weeks and see if it helps. He also told me he would refund whatever I had left of the food if it didn't work. Let me tell you, it did work! SO much cheaper than going to the vet to find all of that out. They have a great selection of american made bones, which I really appreciate because I won't buy any made in China. I highly recommend Premier Pet, whether you are looking for some toys or are having issues with your pet and need a really good selection of premium foods, they are there to help! Plus, they help you carry your things to your car-every time! read more

This is the very best pet store in the entire metro area! They are so knowledgeable and friendly. They take the time to listen to special food needs of the dogs and make recommendations. They make money saving suggestions, take time to personally fit the halters on the dogs and they are big supporters of rescue. They have a couple of rescue groups in there every week. I could go on and on but suffice to say..I would drive across town to get my pets needs met here. Customer service is not dead at Premier Pet! It is alive and wagging its tail! read more

The store has a confusing layout. The dog toys selection is good, but I don't like being followed around by the staff as if they think I am shoplifting. The store is also too cramped to be followed around in. I don't know if I would bring my dog in to try on clothing or harnesses, it is too tight in there. The loose treats are overpriced. I don't know why they have so much staff on the floor either. Just couldn't move. read more

This is by far my favorite pet store in the metro detroit area. I have purchased 2 rabbits from here and both are extremely healthy and friendly. Oh my gosh, where to begin... Wandered in here on a Tuesday on a whim and came out with my new favorite pet store. They're a small family owned business (always good to shop local!) and they give everyone great customer service. I listened to them talk with shoppers to get them exactly what they needed and then they helped me by giving advice on my senior guinea pig and special ordering food that I just couldn't find anywhere else anymore. Outstanding! And they're on a first name basis with, like, everyone. It's nice to see that. While looking around I saw that they pride themselves on community involvement. The prices are fair. They have a great selection from a lot of other independent and high quality brands. I've shopped at another 'based in Michigan' competitor, which was nice, but I do try to support family owned businesses when I can... and you can tell their staff is knowledgeable and cares about their customers. And they're expanding, so they must be doing something right! read more

This was an easy 5 star review, nothing about this place I would change. Been shopping here since I moved to the area almost 3 years ago and even though I drive past pet supplies plus to and from work.....I will still only come to premier pet. The entire staff here is top notch, the products are top notch and I constantly get $10 off my purchase because they offer it without having to spend hundreds of dollars. The prices are compatible to other retailers but its so nice getting the coupon so frequently. I have found some of my items to be a little cheaper on Amazon but insist on giving my business to this amazing shop who also gives and does a ton for the local animal shelter and community. used the DIY dog wash in Livonia a few weeks ago - LOVE IT!! Staff was helpful, private room was great - had everything I needed for a 50# Aussie. Since then, I've popped in several times for dog and cat food and treats - HUGE selection, plenty of specialty and organic options too - Staff is attentive without being pushy, I really like that you can browse - aisles are wide enough to walk a dog through - and probably for 2 to pass and still have a comfort buffer! read more

This is a wonderful store. They are so helpful and friendly! Also, if you buy a food or toy for your pet and your pet won't touch it or is being picky they will exchange it hassle free, receipt free. They don't stock the wet food our cats eat but we like to go there for the their dry food. They special order the wet food for us now so we don't have to go to two different stores. The employees are great. They know their stuff, and are extremely helpful. It's a small store, but for dog and cat supplies, I go out of my way to shop there. I absolutely love this place! Best specialty pet supply store I've been to! And I've been to many. I can't say enough about the people who work there.....so amazingly nice and helpful! I've had issues with my dog having food allergies and they've gone out of their way, spending much of their time, to help me find the right food for her. Premier Pet Supply is my go to pet supply store! If I ever need anything for my pets I always know when I stop in they will have it. The service was amazing and as soon as I walk in they greet me and ask me if I need help finding anything. I get all my pets there and all of them have been available in store, tame, and very affordable. Their staff for the live pets and supplies know exactly what I need and are very informational.
