Seeing the doctor was just as easy--she was friendly, welcoming, and all smiles. I was in and out in about 25 minutes, including filling out the paperwork. I was called within 2 to 3 minutes. Immediately we walked into a room. Technician took my information and notified me Doctor Warner would be in. Doctor Warner walked in within seconds of Technician walking out. Doctor Warner discussed treatment plan. I have been dealing with my eyes blinking more than they should. Dry eyes is my problem. Treatment is to use eye drops. They haven't been working as I initially hope they would. If eye drops don't work. Botox treatment was referred. However there are side effects a droppy eye. The last thing I want is another problem. So I will try eye drops another month. This office is day and night compared to the office in upland. The receptionist acknowledged me upon entering. The waiting time was 5 minutes compared to upland where I waited over an hour to be seen.

The sunglasses turned out to be more affordable because she found out that my insurance gives me a credit for non prescription glasses. I didn't know I had this perk. I'm grateful that she caught that benefit! Once I chose the sunglasses, she offered to do an eye exam. I rarely get my eyes examined because I don't have any eye concerns. However, the process was efficient and educational. The assistant did a couple initial tests on my eyes and made sure the equipment was cleaned before we began. After she completed the tests, Dr. Wong did additional tests to gather more data about the overall health of my eyes. It was fun to learn more about my eyesight. Her husband had surgery with Dr. Lu and was very satisfied. Coincidentally, both his office and the surgery center are in Arcadia, where I live. I had cataract surgery on my left eye on 2/16 and on my right eye yesterday, using an EDOF multifocal intraocular lens (paid out-of-pocket). Dr. Lu truly lived up to his reputation; he was very professional, explained things meticulously, and patiently answered all my questions. Both surgeries went very smoothly and successfully. Furthermore, Dr. Lu personally calls patients on the same day after each surgery to check on their progress. Although there are follow-up appointments the next day, his dedication and willingness to go the extra mile touched and reassured me. Dr. Lu is truly an outstanding doctor, highly trustworthy and recommended. I also want to especially mention Dr. Angela, the anesthesiologist at Specialty Medical Center, who was excellent. Making an appointment was as easy as calling the optometry and giving them information on my insurance plan (where they are able to look it up and tell you the benefits). On the day of the appointment, I recommend coming early to fill out the intake form as a new patient and bringing your existing prescribed glasses. Afterwards, I took some quick check-in test before seeing the doctor. Dr. Nguyen did my eye exams and she was wonderful! She was thorough, explained everything in an easy to understand/detailed manner, gave really practical and actionable advice, and answered all the questions I had. The front desk folks, Ben and Raul, were also amazing!! They were super friendly, kind, and helpful throughout my visit. What I most appreciated was that they explained all the benefits of my insurance and shared their recommendations on what frames and lense features to choose given my benefits. In terms of frames, they carry name brands like Gucci, Fendi, Versace, Prada, Tom Ford, etc. Plenty to choose from. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better optometry experience.
