He was actually just in my neighborhood looking for a different address, but in the process of helping him find his way, I mentioned how frustrated I was with my brand-new, noisy garage door. I told him I'd been using WD-40 to fix the squeaks, and instead of just nodding and driving off, Joe took the time to educate me. He explained that WD-40 isn't actually the right lubricant for garage doors and can sometimes make things worse. Without hesitation, he: * Went to his truck to grab the proper professional-grade lubricant. * Gave me a hands-on tutorial on exactly where to spray (and where not to). * Told me exactly what to look for at Home Depot so I could maintain it myself. While the job was by far the least costly during the refurbishment, and also the lowest bid I received from garage door installation companies, it was essential for security and functionality. The installation wasn't seamless due to some manufacturer quality-control issues, but Joe was on top of the problem and had the components replaced by the manufacturer. Throughout the process, he diligently oversaw all installations. Even at the end, when I was willing to accept the flawed panel (a high bar, as I can be pretty demanding), Joe wanted it perfect. He went ahead, had the manufacturer replace the panel in question, and had his crew install the new panel, all on his own. I am pleased to give such a high rating based on my experience with Joe's Doors. It is well-deserved.

He explained that shaking them and moving slowly while holding the upper and lower part of the accordion shutter works best. The prices were reasonable and the value for service received was good.
