If you like matcha you have to visit this cafe! It is your go to for anything matcha related- drinks, ice cream, desserts! [[HIGHLIGHT]]When me and my cousins arrived there on a Saturday afternoon it was busy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really wanted to try the matcha ube ice cream sundae, the pricing was as expected. When the ice cream sundae came it was big!! Much bigger than expected- we shared this with four people and it was a good decision because the sweetness makes limited to what you can eat. There was crunchy Oreo crumbles, chewy mochi balls, moist matcha cake pieces, and more. My husband got a matcha latte- they have a lot of seasonal drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The day we went it seemed to be a market day so at the back of the cafe there were vendors selling Japanese trinkets like stickers, keychains, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wish there was one near my house because I love matcha and it has all matcha related desserts and drinks, everything was delicious!!
I have a location back home, so it's always nice to stop in when im living in other states. This one was great! I usually get a drink but I opted for their ube ice cream and it was great! Good ube flavor and good ice cream texture. There's a good amount of seating, and there's also a cute photobooth! By the cash register, there's also a little diy section where you can pick out charms to make keychains or clips.
As a real matcha lover I was so excited to try this and it didn't disappoint fully. The K-Dog was absolutely delicious!! The potato one with half sausage and mozzarella was so great! The hot cheese would have been better with the mozzarella or half and half. The matcha latte was good I personally hate oat milk and that was the only option. I feel if I would have tired it with a different milk such as almond may have enjoyed it more. The matcha taste was not as strong but it had good flavor. I tried my brother's drink he got a banana pudding matcha it was good but definitely diabetes in a drink. They have something for everyone. If you like real matcha drink this place is good. But if you prefer a sweet drink and dessert this is your place too! If I were to go back definitely to try the ice cream next and get another K-Dog!
The ube and matcha are def both worth checking out. Suggest going to revolving sushi spot next door and coming here for dessert. You walk in, the menu is on the right on a screen. I've only had the matcha soft serve and ube soft serve. They were both delicious. The person at the register was kind to offer a sample. This store feels like it could be in LA or NYC! I love their swirled ice cream. I have tried the Matcha swirled with Ube and with their limited edition Peach. I have also tried their Maiko special which includes matcha ice cream, small chiffon cake cubes, mochi! And shaved ice. It's a fun way to try multiple things, but it's probably more value to just get their ice cream swirls, because sometimes they add a lot of shaved ice. I also tried their Hojicha float, which has matcha ice cream over hojicha latte! You can definitely taste the hojicha. The ice cream is a fun way to add some sweetness and creaminess. I most recently tried their strawberry matcha. It was on their chalkboard of employee recommended drinks, which I think is so fun! The matcha was nice and strong. I thought it would have a strawberry jam, but I only noticed a few starbwerry pieces. Maybe they used a strawberry syrup? Or not at all. I wish the strawberry flavor was more apparent. Definitely recommend this place!

I've tried it many times and it just never works out for me, but fortunately they also offer UBE, so I stuck with what I know and enjoy. I ordered the UBE soft serve with Oreo cookie toppings, and it was delicious--smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. Taro and UBE are always safe favorites for me. I also tried the Hot Cheetos Rice Hotdog, which was excellent. It was very filling and only $5, which is hard to beat. The flavor and texture combination worked really well. One of my cousins ordered the Banana Pudding Matcha, UBE soft serve, Potato Hotdog, and a Matcha tea, and somehow finished everything. My other cousin ordered the Crème Brûlée Matcha, which didn't quite hit for her this time. My spouse ordered the Maiko Special (half matcha, half UBE) with additional toppings and fillings and enjoyed it a lot, as she always does. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop itself is cute, cozy, and comforting, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Even if matcha isn't your thing, there are still plenty of options worth trying. We will definitely be back.

Still think this is the best matcha in town! I love the floats.. it's a good combo of both ice cream and some drink. Just a word of caution, there's very little liquid! I like the latte more than the tea! It's just smoother. The service is quick. There's usually a cashier as well as a touch screen you can order on. Busy matcha cafe in NC San Antonio. Fresh made matcha and ube ice cream. If you are a matcha fan you'll definitely like this place. For me, I preferred the Ube ice cream over the matcha. The staff were really nice and helpful in deciding on what to order. read more

The cashier doesn't know their menu or how to actively listen to order and the other employee rejected my daughter when she asked for the chocolate matcha and said " well we already made it". I asked for bingsu (I saw on TikTok they serve bingsu, but I guess they no longer do and was recommended to Hanamaru). I ordered the ube/ matcha swirl ice cream with red beans and mochi. The cashier told my daughter they do not serve chocolate matcha floats and put an order of latte matcha float. The ice cream came out fast and my daughter did research through TikTok and the menu again and found they do have chocolate matcha floats. I sat down and over heard the next customer who corrected one of the employees that he asked for a waffle cone with his ice cream so they had to remake his order too and threw away the ice cream cup. The ice cream quality was sweet and creamy, pretty good. The mochi was plain and not so sweet. Red beans were really good. Presentation was a disappointment compared to the dish I was trying to order. Would never go back, but I'm glad for the recommendation. Authentic Uji matcha (from Kyoto) experience. We just got back from Kyoto and recognized this brand so we decided to check them out. So many to choose from! Matcha, ube in all forms of dessert. Soft serve, shaved ice, Uji-kintoki, frappes, lattes... they have so much! Deducting a star coz they need to keep up with how busy this place is- bit of cleaning is helpful. read more

Premium Matcha Cafe Maiko is a definite must try! I got the Matcha Maiko Special which had matcha soft serve, mochi balls, cereal flakes, jelly and red bean. The matcha was strong and you get a lot for the price. The store is also really big with plenty of seating. They also have a cute Korean Photo Booth too! I came on a very busy day and the dessert still came out pretty fast. read more

Such a cute matcha cafe!! They have a full menu of every possible combination of hot or iced matcha with ube or matcha ice cream. It can be a lot to decide from and the woman at the register was really helpful. They have a fun Photo Booth here and lots of indoor seating. They also have the viral Korean corn dogs that we saw a lot of people ordering. read more

Came on a Sunday afternoon with my friend as she had an IV appointment nearby. I've been to a couple of Matcha Cafe Maikos in the Bay Area this past October so I was craving a cool treat. I went straight for the Matcha Soft Serve and my friend had an Ube Soft Serve. The Matcha was tasty and the Ube had a hint of a nutty flavor and sweeter. I'd say the soft serve prices are a bit higher here than in the Bay Area. The setup is the same with a kiosk you could order thru or the counter. I was going to order thru the kiosk and proceeded but stopped because I was going to ask what the free Trick or Treat add-on was? I ended up going to the counter and the male clerk asked what it was but the employees said it was only during Halloween. They hadn't removed it from the kiosk interface. Food Got the soft serve and boy it was SO GOOD! the matcha was earthy and the ube was creamy and a subtle coconut flavor to tame the matcha. It was perfect! I recommend to those who enjoy matcha and ube. Ube was not too over powering which is a plus! 5/5 Service Got what I wanted. Im happy and satisfied. They are friendly. Felt like I've been missing out on the Soft Served Matcha since I've only ever ordered the Matcha Latte. We dropped in after having lunch at Wild Gogi for some soft served Matcha. Two weeks ago I bought their mixed Maiko Special, love it, enjoyed it a lot not too sweet with just the right amount of ingredients on my medium cup. Too bad they could have received a five star rating from me if I posted my review back then. But today, exactly two weeks ago, the same day Friday at about the same time, I ordered another Maiko Special, mixed ube and matcha soft serve ice cream and alas, what an unpleasant surprise, hollow, empty just air inside. I didn't asked them why nor complained, thought it's how they serve it but recalling my cup two weeks ago, it wasn't hollow at all. After reading several reviews here, I decided to post my own. Perhaps unless they read reviews here, but I could only hope. The least they could do is reply and apologize here or explain, as a courtesy. The three star is just for the customer service, cleanliness including the single bathroom and the overall taste. Absolutely two less stars for the "huge" cavernous space inside my cup of Maiko Special, though literally it's not "special" because it's hollow, just air, it looked a huge serving until I scooped several times revealing the emptiness inside... read more
P.M.C.M is a cute cafe. It's a fun, casual place to sit, relax, and enjoy a sweet treat. Vendors are set up inside, selling different items if you want to shop for cute things. My husband and I ordered the matcha ube swirl ice cream, and my daughter ordered the matcha ice cream. The matcha was delicious, with a robust earthy flavor, but it was still tasty. You could taste that it was authentic ceremonial-grade matcha, complementing the ube ice cream very well. There are other treats for you to enjoy, which we'll try the next time we return. Best Matcha ice cream hands down. I specifically say matcha because it's so overpowering you don't even taste the Ube. Next time I'll order separately because I love both but want to taste the goodness of Ube. Their menu needs work, it's a messy and needs better organization. Then there's extra items you can order placed in different spots. One central menu board that's easy to read with descriptions would be ideal. Like what is in the parfait? Tables- why is the place big inside but only a limited amount of tables? Some rearranging of the space again would be ideal. Prices are kinda high $7.00 for an ice cream cone. But it is what it is. Let's talk the cone- it's delicious. I would just order a cone because it's light and airy, nothing like I've had before. With that said, because it's so light it cannot withstand the weight of the ice cream. My cone crumbled where the ice cream meets the cone. You lick, it breaks. But I mean you gotta have both because they're equally delicious! Next time I'll order in a cup and stick the cone on top. I'm still giving this place 4 stars because my ice cream was good. We just cleaned a table and sat down to enjoy our ice cream. I'll be back and try some other menu items. Especially the Ube alone. read more
I can't believe how different prices are in different states. I come from the Bay Area in California and these prices are great. The size seemed a bit smaller but it was still totally worth it. I wished they had a smaller version of the ice cream slush. I ate everything on top and tried to drink the rest but ended up throwing it out. They had a cute decor with a photo machine inside. The side toppings for the Korean corn dogs are on the left where there is even water to help yourself. I think you can order on their screen or with someone when they pop up but overall I enjoyed my snack after the flight get to San Antonio. This was my first stop after landing and so happy with that choice. read more

Pros: The Korean corn dogs were excellent, I'd recommend just getting the cheese filled ones though. It's like a big mozzarella stick. The pricing on the Korean corn dogs was great. 3 -7$, depending on what you get. Cons: The matcha was NOT good. This is coming from someone who drinks every type of matcha, and is not picky. Tasted artificial. Also was very powdery. The inside of the building was hot, I think they have a ventilation problem. Me, and other customers, were red and/ or sweaty. I had to clean my own table. Neither here nor there: You are prompted to "tip", which doesn't make sense because there is no waiter-- You go up to order, and the worker just clicks buttons on the tablet. Then after, you pick your meal up at the counter. So what are we tipping for?? There are no waitresses?? I cleaned my own table? The cooks? It is the management's responsibility to pay their cooks a decent wage -- but again, this last part of the review is neither here nor there. read more

I'm a matcha fan, so finding a place where you can get matcha soft serve ice cream was a dream come true! Service was fast and friendly, parking in the private lot is easy, and the large interior space was spare, but had plenty of seating. I got a pair of cones for me and my ladyfriend, the green tea (naturally) and the mixed green tea / ube. Both were creamy and delicious, not too sweet, and with a hint of astringency that says 'green tea ice cream'. Ube is purple yam, and this adds a nice balance of nuttiness and a vague coconut flavor to the mix. Between the two, get the beautifully vibrant purple and green cone! Definitely one of the best new places I've visited lately. You need to try this, especially if you're a fan of soft-serve or matcha! This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh.
