Meal prep seemed to be the thing for health conscious people who worked out regularly and ate healthy or those on weight loss journey. Therefore, I never seriously considered it until a year into the pandemic. By that time, my disorganization was at an all time high. What days am I telecommuting, what days am I going to the office, should I cook, pick up takeout, eat freezer food, PBJ sandwiches, or grab a bottle of wine and bag of chips and literally let the chips fall where they may. Then I remembered driving past this place. So I downloaded their app, took a look at the menu, and decided to give it a try. They have a good selection of meals that include a protein, a vegetable, and a starch. If you don't like any part of the meal, you have the option of swapping it out. There is also the option of customizing the entire meal. I typically place an order at the beginning of the week, pick it up on my way home from work, and voilà! Late on orders were you great breakfast around lunch, can only order certain days so you get a weeks worth of meals on 1 day. Call me weird but I don't want to eat 8 day old food come day 7 of prep. I've placed several orders through the App with a specific pickup time and usually have to wait 20 minutes after the pick up time to receive my food. I bought meal preps from here consistently every week for about 4 months. Ordering 10+ meals each time. Initially, it was great. I loved that you're able to customize your meals and order through an app. The convenience of ordering made it easy to stick to. However, over time I started to notice inconsistencies. I would request certain seasonings and my meals would either have VERY light seasoning on only ONE side or they wouldn't season it all. Which sucks because chicken can be pretty bland without seasonings. Sometimes they even added different seasonings than what I requested. Other times it was perfectly fine. But the inconsistencies kept happening more and more as time went on which ultimately led me to stop ordering from here. That & the lack of punctuality. The meals were almost never ready at the time I chose. It started happening so frequently that I began to choose times 1 hour earlier than the time I actually was going to pick up after work. Also, if you're looking to keep track of your macros this place probably isn't for you. There's no way to see the EXACT amount of calories, protein, & carbs you are consuming. If you know how do that on your own then this won't be a problem. Personally, I used different apps to try to calculate approximately how many calories I was consuming but then again that was only an estimate. Overall, the place is clean and ordering is super easy. But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is trying to keep track of their macros or someone who likes consistently. read more
