Horrible communication, pool orientation happened much later than it was supposed to when talking with the orientation person[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]],they installed equipment incorrectly which took them months to address and fix (which for a pool builder who's the number one builder in AZ you would think they would know what they are doing), incomplete landscaping which also took multiple months and me stating I was going to go to the ROC before anything happened, and it still looks bad. They sub contract most things out and don't care when they're not up to standards as they already got paid. For how much I paid for this pool you would think they would care more but they don't. Honestly wish I could have gone with anyone else as they just don't seem to care. I almost went with Dolphin pools but felt slightly guilt tripped by the salesperson. At the end of the 3 1/2 month process, our pool and pergola look great! With that said, this has been one of the worst processes I've been through. I chose Presidential because they seemed more established and have put together more pools on the year than any other pool company. To be clear, I think we saw every pool company in west valley working our project BUT Presidential. They are brokers who use good businesses to complete their projects on their behalf. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My issue with Presidential is that as brokers, the best trait they could have is clear communication.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a project coordinator that clearly had too much on his plate. Days to respond to calls and texts, missed appointments and extremely slow to address issues that I was catching in the work being done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had no peace of mind throughout the entire process and we had to rip up completed hard decking due to issues I was catching, being pushed aside by our coordinator (it's odd how much decking increased our rate during the quoting process, but when it had to be ripped up and removed, received pennies on the dollar in refund). Possibly my biggest issue is they require final payment well before the completion of their work and finishing this project dragged out for several weeks with a no-show appointment and a continued lack of communication. Still have lights that flicker and only offer 1 color, with a service ticket in for nearly 2 weeks now and no solution in sight. If you include a pergola in your project, expect to coordinate this portion on your own. They were completely non-existent once the pool was finished. I want to think that we just drew the short straw in hopes that others spending this amount of money aren't left feeling ignored and unimportant. I will say that Chris Cox and Walter Pendle were phenomenal people to work with and really went above and beyond once they got involved. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Towards the end of the project, I was going directly to Chris and he responded within minutes and truly cared about our issues.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Walter showed us the system/app and was thorough and easy to work with. He was a pleasure to work with. My project coordinator came out recently.... not to check on how the pool was or if we had issues, but to take pictures to file in their catalog. Just terrible. We had an ugly area on our 1.25 acre property and it took us almost 10 years until we decided to get a pool and some landscaping to improve the appeal of our property. We called a few pool builders and I remember the sales person who walked away when I told him that we didn't want to spend over $50,000 [[HIGHLIGHT]]After calling Presidential Pools their sales person Trevor showed up, took measurements and we received some computer generated images while we were traveling in California.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a few changes we signed the contract and applied for a loan from Copper State Credit Union. It took them forever to process it but this wasn't Presidential Pools fault. Building permit was issued within a few weeks and the excavation was done a few days later. Our impression was that the whole process was well organized, almost like clockwork. Our PM was Gary, it was a pleasure to work with him. There were a few minor things which went wrong but everything was taken care of. Ordered our pool in January 2025, it was finished being installed in April 2025. They immediately dug out the hole which was awesome, then they ghosted us for over a month before continuing the work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When they got to the work they did it quickly, however there was a lot of wasted time with no communication.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pool seemed like high quality until we filled it up and started to swim in it. We found numerous small/medium/large bumps along one of the four walls, scattered across it entirely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We called and someone came out to look, saying it needs addressed in the winter (when it isn't 100+ degrees out).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Winter came, we called, someone came out and said the best they could do is polish the bumps, which would smoothen them out and hopefully make them less noticeable. I know from online research that these bumps are not normal, but I agreed to see if that would help things. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spring came and they finally responded to the bombardment of emails given for this to be done so we can prepare to use the pool in the early summer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The plan was to drain the pool on 03/23/2026, fix grout cracking issues on 03/24/2026, and polish/refill the pool on 03/25/2026 (2-3 days drained in 90-100 degree weather is the recommended max to prevent long term damage and staining to the PebbleSheen we got). They drained it on 03/24/2026, caulked the grout cracks (poorly, they didn't caulk any corners of the pool for some reason), and when I went out to the pool I noticed a large hole where one of the bumps were, which was odd because I was expecting only caulking and no one even knocked on my door or told me they were there. I immediately called about the hole and they said it was a bubble and needed to be patched, to which they made the hole in the PebbleSheen and underlying shotcrete to prepare for it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After many calls and communications about how we didn't ask for a hole and then subsequently a patch covering the hole on our brand new pool via different people in the Presidential Pools company (Andrew was great and was at least trying to be empathetic/resolving, but then we were handed off to their support people Alexandra and then Iriana which ended any empathy or understanding or even actual responses to our concerns and questions), we were handed off to their sub-contractor American Pool Finishes (John, who said he was their General Manager).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This guy just lied constantly like he got commission from each one, and this is where things got super bad. On the day the patch was supposed to happen and pool to be filled (03/25/2026), John delayed because he wanted "everyone from every company involved to assess the situation", to which someone on 03/28/2026 (5 days of an empty pool in 100 degree weather) someone came to patch the hole and fix the numerous other bumps on that wall, while John is supposed to rally people from Presidential Pools (their COO Mike), American Pool Finisher (John), and someone from PebbleTec. I asked the guy who was going to patch if he was going to fix the other 8-10 bumps that are on that wall as well, and he said no, you will not like that many patches. It was our understanding that the other spots were to be patched so he called John who sent him away while we wait for the meeting with everyone. Fast forward to 03/31/2026 (8 days of pool drained at this point), only John and someone from PebbleTec show up, and John says the patch needs done and the bumps are normal. When I asked where the COO from Presidential Pools was he said he "is the GM which is basically the same thing". When I called him on it and said he isn't even a representative or employee of Presidential Pools he brushed his lie off and said the patch needs done so we can move on to the next phase to see if we like/accept the repair. The PebbleTec guy said bumps are definitely normal to which I said then why was one dug into a giant hole that needs filled, which didn't have an answer. I told them to get the patch done as it's been 8 days drained and this will surely cause us damages in the future as they keep procrastinating a repair that already is unacceptable. They patch the hole on 04/02/2026 (10 days of pool being drained) and start filling the water up. The pool now has very thick lines where standing water has been evaporating, the patch work has an immediate crack/chip in it, and they refuse to respond to any emails or calls regarding the follow up that they promised regarding the fix, or the concerning discoloration, cracking, and stains that our pool has suffered because of their negligence. It would be better to avoid this potential headache and go with someone who will do things right and stand by their product when they blatantly mess up their workmanship and communications at every step of the way. read more

The service coordinator at Presidential Pools told me they use Most Valuable Paver for all their tile jobs. Problem is the tiles on our hot tub ledge are coming loose and one fell off and chipped. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Well, since December 10, 2025 the Presidential service coordinator has sent multiple emails to MVP, at my request, since our warranty expires March 15, 2026[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Crickets! MVP refuses to contact me. They also ignore the Presidential Pools service coordinator's emails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Why would Presidential choose such a terrible sub? MVP has terrible quality and service. Tile should not come loose before 2 years! Choose another pool contractor! If anything happens you will get no service! First off, our Project Manager Gary was great very nice and helpful throughout the entire process. Gary even came out and fixed a pop-up that never worked right from the start when it was put in. It wouldn't go down and didn't do the job a pop-up does. The process goes very quickly. The pool is beautiful, turned out great, except the pool aerator was put up to close to the edge of the pool so it is crooked and askew and looks bad, very noticeable. Of course, they didn't have the attachment in when they had me sign off that everything was great. Still waiting to see what can be done to make it look better. Hopefully something! We did sign off on this ahead of time just want you to be prepared if you have anything in your current yard. So, you will have your funds. One warning when they have you sign off on them destroying your current yard meaning anything on the way to where you want your pool such as lighting, irrigation whatever is there believe them. They will destroy even where you don't think they will. Have your money ready for those to be repaired or redone. read more

Our experience with Presidential was so bad that I'm not even sure where to start. The sales/design team was good, but there really isn't much else good to say about Presidential. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are expensive, slow, and have terrible communication.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They quoted us 8-10 weeks for our project, and it took more than twice that long. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had three project managers, and it took all of them at least a week to respond to any questions or concerns.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the managers would typically take two weeks to respond, and that was only if you sent him multiple messages.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] By the end of the project, we were working directly with the design team and the quality control department. The pool itself turned out pretty good overall, but we also had them do the decking, landscaping, and turf, and those were all a nightmare. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The deck team was good, but there was a lot of miscommunication between them and Presidential, which led to mistakes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The landscape company they recommended took more than a month to provide us with a simple design, so we ended up finding a different company. The turf company wasn't bad, but they made some mistakes as well, and we had to ask them to come back to clean up since they left such a mess. We've had multiple issues with our equipment since the pool was finished, and a few of the issues were because the installation was not done correctly. All of the issues have been covered under the warranty, but I would expect a company of this size to do it right the first time. I could go on and on about the negative experience, but at the end of the day, there are plenty of pool builders out there to choose from. I definitely wouldn't recommend Presidential. They have way too many issues when it comes to actually building the pool. read more

I know I'm a small customer. I have a pool heater that was installed by Presidential Pools. When it recently stopped working, I contacted your service department and scheduled a service visit, which carried a $120 fee that I was told would later be credited toward any repair. The service technician who came out, Tucker, was excellent. He was professional, personable, and clearly knowledgeable. He explained the issue, discussed options, and indicated that the repair might be as simple as replacing a wire. Based on that conversation, I felt comfortable proceeding. Unfortunately, the experience deteriorated after that visit: * The quote I later received did not align with what was explained during the service call. * When I asked about the easy fix the tech mentioned I got an email from Melissa saying "we don't have that wire" required for an easy fix, which feels so convenient that I would have to pay almost $400 to replace parts. Didn't get any information on how or when they could get the wire. That left me feeling like they were acting a little shady. * The quoted repair cost was $387, which I would have accepted, except the $120 service visit credit was not clearly applied. When I asked about the missing credit, I was told that instead of listing the service charge and credit transparently, Presidential Pools adjusts the price of the labor instead. This felt unusual and frankly, concerning from a billing transparency standpoint. From a customer standpoint, whats stopping them from just saying the labor costs double for your visit and then you are just supposed to trust they aren't gouging you. Felt a little shady again. * I have since received additional invoices, including one for over $900 "in case more work is needed," which has added to my concern and confusion. * [[HIGHLIGHT]]I completed a customer survey on the visit and was told a service manager named Jason would contact me within 72 hours. Weeks passed with no follow-up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] * [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called Monday 12/22 to ask for help, I was told that all service managers are out until next year. While I understand holiday time off, it is frustrating to have no available escalation or support.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On this call I explained all of this to a service rep named Alex and she assured me that I would get a call back from the office manager. Once you get 5 or 6 issues, it feels like a pattern. Unfortunately they already charged me 120 dollars, so I feel obligated to just pay the bill to be finished working with them. What they failed to tell you is you have to wait on the EAST SIDE OFFICE TO GET OFF THERE ASS & SEND THE PART TO THE WEST SIDE OFFICE!!!! Why can't the surprise office have parts on hand? Why do we have to wait for the Gilbert office? I want an answer and I want this to change! This has happened every damn time I have called for this part or replacements of pop ups. Listened to your needs and made you feel you were her only client. She is a rock star! We were glad we went with Presidential Pools! Gretchen - amazing too! She is amazing at her job! We began working with Presidential after seeing what a beautiful job the company was doing on my neighbor's pool. I contacted Kip, who really listened to everything I wanted in my pool design and asked what I wanted. (I had already spoken to multiple companies by that point and nobody seemed to really listen or care about my preferences--they all just designed pools with baja shelves that took up most of the pool). After speaking with me, Kip designed a pool that was beautiful and practical--it had everything I wanted! Kip, unlike salespeople from other companies, was not pushy or aggressive about getting a contract signed. Before the dig, we met with Gretchen, who had fantastic recommendations for the colors of tile, pebble sheen, and travertine. The building process also went really well. I did not have to chase people down or stay on top of the builders. The dig began on July 3 and we started filling the pool with water eight weeks later, on August 28. Our project manager left the company the day that the pool was filled and we were nervous that we would have nobody to turn to if we had any issues. Today, we met our new project manager, Jordan Thrasher, who swooped in like a superhero. We had a few issues and he did everything in his power to remedy them immediately. (He even worked some magic and was able to get our spa functioning so we would have it in time for family that is coming into town). I'm adding a modification as Presidential has stepped up to understand what happened, and has taken action to remedy open items. I've raised my review from 2 to 4 stars as a result. I do want to note that it is disappointing that it takes a bad review to get someone's attention. Our experience with Presidential is a tale of two companies. The one that was amazing right up until they got our last check, and the one we've dealt with since then. We purchased a pool in April 2023 and Presidential exceeded our expectations at every phase initially. Showing up a day early, cleaning up after themselves, showing professionalism and great craftsmanship. We were so impressed and felt we had made a great choice in pool builder. The problems started when we provided our final check. Presidential (like most pool companies) requires the last progress payment to be made before the pool interior is done. This is when we became an afterthought. No longer any sense of urgency, vaguest date commitments and communication - at one point our project manager went on vacation without telling us - right when we were expecting our pool interior to be completed. Leaving us with the burden of driving to their office to complain to get things moving again. We're are now 6 weeks after the pool startup and finally have everything functioning as sold - but it wasn't without numerous calls to the service department to get the final items completed. They will build you a beautiful pool - but with no concern for you once they have your money. Beware. read more

It's been a year since I had my pool built by Presidential pools. I had a crack in my deck. I called their customer service, and I was responded to within a few hours. They had someone here the next day for first part of repair and it was completed within a week. As always, their crew was extremely professional and great with communication. I am so happy the way they treated me even after a year. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. read more
