I had a nice dinner experience here. Parking is limited but overflow parking is nearby. It was busy but service was efficient. The lemon ricotta app with toast was perfect! Got the amazingly delicious Ancient grain bowl with salmon; the portion is generous. The kale Caesar salad was fresh, crispy, and tasty. The atmosphere is modern casual. A nice option in this area. Since I'm an early riser I'm always looking for a good breakfast spot. I specifically waited over a year to try this spot to make sure they had the ironed out the kinks. What I found is this place can be great but they need more work. We were only the second table and we were greeted promptly. The decor and atmosphere is fantastic here. Our waitress was very friendly and took our drink order. She advised us that the hostess gave us the wrong menus and gave us the brunch menu. This is weirdly a reoccurring issue at a smaller Felipe Armenta restaurant. It's happened to me at The Tavern and Press Cafe in Fort Worth. The patio was still only partially opened, and had to scramble to get it open to accommodate incoming customers. Food- The coffee was very good and the bearcat breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the fruit was very fresh and lovely. I ordered the Filet Mignon Eggs Benedict, which had a perfectly poached egg and tasty hollandaise. However the steak was cold and with a warm English Muffin I just powered through. The Avocado Toast was very good and had a good flavor. Right now this isn't my first choice to eat. This is our 3rd time eating here since moving to town 3 months ago. Each visit has been amazing! Everything we have tried has been delicious! The Wagyu smash burger is probably one of the best burgers I've ever had! My wife has tried the bolognese and was amazing as well. Updating review nearly a year later and it's not how it was when it first opened. I used to love this place when it opened. But Price increases had exceeded the consistency and experience being delivered. $16 for a cocktail, $9 for a canned cocktail and $20 for a hamburger is high. Charging that much for a cocktail, it should be consistently flawless and what you get depends heavily on who's working or if they're even paying attention. I've watched my drinks sit for over a minute after shaken for the same amount of time while servers chit chat, and get served a watered down $16 drink. Next time you're there ask yourself, is this a $16 margarita?Happy hour is not worth it unless you want beer and wine because the well being used is so bad it pushes the upsell on its own and not much to choose from with appetizers. I went there with a friend during happy hour, spent $100 before tip, and didn't even order an entree. I'd choose Press as a last resort, but there are other places to spend money where you get much more value for the cost you just need to leave Aledo. I understand inflation, sure but did a margarita really require less to produce 3 years ago? Bottom line, if we're expected to spend more then we should expect more as consumers. I wanted to try something different for brunch stumbled upon this place in aledo. I am so glad we went, the burger was to die for and I feel like the chips were homemade. The chicken pot pie was so creamy and little biscuits on top were so crunchy and delicious. My daughter loved the butter noodles we make that at home and I haven't seen another restaurant do this yet. This was a plus. I'm a fan of FAR hospitality restaurants, they always have good food and service and Press in Aledo is no exception. It's busy and I waited several months after opening to go there and it was still jam packed. We started with the Parmesan truffle fries which are served with ketchup, bbq sauce, and aioli. I tried all 3 dips and all were great. For my entree, I got the chicken sandwich. It's lightly breaded and crispy. Very tasty, served on a nice bun (probably homemade) cheese, tomato, and a house made slaw. It's delicious. Wife got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Grilled cheese made with several different cheeses and tomato soup is topped off with a balsamic drizzle. This place is a bit on the pricey side. In addition to truffle fry app, chicken sandwich, grilled cheese& tomato soup entree, we had two kids meals and waters to drink, it was $83 before tip. But overall, it's a great addition to Aledo. We had visited the Fort Worth location before so was excited about trying the Aledo location. Interior design was cute and modern, similar to the feel at the other location, but still with its own Aledo charm. Our waitress was quick to greet us, and offered us a perspective on her favorite items on the menu. I chose the Chicken Parmesean while my date chose the spicy rigatoni. Let me tell you - biting into the chicken parm was an out of body experience. Could be that I was definitely hungry, but the flavors and the crispiness of the breading was a top tier moment. Way to big of a portion size for me, but I tried my hardest to not waste any of it. The spicy rigatoni was also good, from my understanding, with no complaints and with a good amount of flavor. Came here with my daughter and grandson, walked in.. really puzzled why the the hostess at the desk have there backs to the door, so they really can't see who's walking in. I had to say hi, let her know that we were a party of 3 1/2. She asked if we wanted inside or out , I said inside my daughter then let her know that we needed a highchair. When we arrived to the table there was a chair at the table with no highchair , we had to pull out the chair for her and tell her where to put the highchair. They put the appetizer on the table, but we had no plates to eat the appetizer, so we asked the server that dropped the appetizer for the plates. She went to another table. She never came back with plates so we had to walk to the kitchen and asked for plates , then comes back to the table to take our order. Food is out , at that time my daughter's husband asked for fries because he wanted fries with his hamburger instead of potato chips. They did not come out in a timely manner. He was done already with his hamburger, so we had him take them back, The server would stop for a minute and then run away not asking us how our food was or how things are going. Wanted to check out this new aledo location since it opened. Stopped in with my family for Brunch. The food was good but very pricy. I had the special of the day. A filet with mashed potatoes and spinach with an egg the way you like. $55 with not a sprinkle of seasoning. My husband daughter enjoyed their burgers and I had an amazing cocktail. I imagine it could be a fun place in the evenings for drinks and appetizers. Service was excellent and Valerie was pleasant and guided me through the menu with expertise. I really don't want to slam this place because it has potential. But here's what got me first, whomever is their head chef has made his or her choices of menu items limited and lifeless. I ordered a humus appetizer which was good pita bread was really good and the vegetables excellent. Then had a bowl of some kind grains little chicken and veggies(?) which frankly was inedible, tasteless and pretentious. This chef must have watched way too many cooking shows and tried to meld it all together which didn't work and why I stayed away from the rest of the menu. A lot of these places are really great places to hang out but simplify the food keep prices reasonable and stop trying to be Vegas or LA chefs. Prices were high. read more

We arrived early for our 6pm reservation this Saturday and to my surprise the place was completely empty. We ordered drinks- a dirty Tito's martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, a beer, and old fashioned. Unfortunately they were out of olives completely so a cold coor's light was swapped out. We got the truffle fries and the medi dip-both delicious. For entrees we got the chicken sandwich, farmer's salad and the salmon BLT. Minus the salmon being overcooked and dry, the food was a hit. Finished off with the brownie. Although I didn't personally eat any because I was stuffed by that point, it looked tasty. Service was attentive and timely.
