We really enjoyed it. A nice place to stop for breakfast last minute. It's my second time eating here. The staff were great and attentive. The ambiance is casual. Definitely a place I feel I could sit with my laptop and work while enjoying breakfast and coffee.

I stumbled upon this brunch spot in Lake Worth. Service was fast and efficient I really love the mural painting on the wall. I ordered the egg sampler with a side pancake. The pancakes are delicious and fluffy. If you're in the area you must stop by and try it.

Service is slow. Food is ok. Weirdest avocado toast i have ever had. It was toast egg whites the 5 slices of avocado on it. Tasted good just never seen that presentation. Side of fruit was watermelon, pineapple and blueberries which was good. Asked for hot tea and saw on menu they had 5 kinds but was brought hot water in a cup and english breakfast. No honey. Mo lemon. Had to ask for check, had to ask them to run my card. Probably won't visit again.

I ordered the sides because they didn't change any of the items on the regular pick of menus which was fine it comes out to the same price. I ordered eggs over medium and they were definitely overeasy and way too drippy and were barely warm. The pancake flavor was not great. It had a bitterness to it like too much baking soda, it seemed like it had been cooked earlier because it had a tough outer shell and barely warm. Husband had chicken fried steak. This is coming from someone that cooks well however he said no flavor and he had to salt and pepper quite a bit it was so tough trying to get through it. Was it was very thick but the meat was tough. It was not hot but was warm, but the hash browns were cold. The only thing I had really good was I did like the sourdough bread that I ordered. I do like the fact that you can get a bloody mary and a mimosas. Before the renovation, I thought the food was a little bit better.

Quickly greeted and seated - one of the 2 positive things. 4 of us in the group - I did not order a plate but had a taste of everyone's plate. OJ machine from fresh squeezed oranges was awesome. With a hefty price tag of $6 a glass (whew). Coffee and hot chocolate (which tasted out of a bag) Long wait for food - nearly 35 mins after ordering and the pancake took an additional 15 mins!! French toast, chicken fried steak, and chicken & waffles. Everything was tasteless. The kiddo who loves chicken was disappointed they were tenders rather a chicken type patty. Breading was gross - no flavor, just tasted like grease. Same for the chicken fried steak. Scrambled eggs were a bit watery and the pancake was just awful. Flat, not fluffy, rubbery and tasteless. The price tag for the food was so not worth it. One kiddo gave a 2 out of 10 stars, the other gave a 4. The husband asked we never return. Service was nothing special. Never were checked on while waiting forever for the food. After the food, maybe twice and had the opportunity for a coffee refill. Overall not worth $70 to us, unfortunately.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming. We arrived around 10am on a Sunday morning with no wait. The menu offers a wonderful variety, and everything we ordered was both fresh and delicious. Got the pancakes which were served with warm syrup. The coffee is hot and fresh and the service was top-notch. The server was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Located at the end of a shopping plaza, parking was easily accessible and convenient. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

A single waffle costed more than my meal! 12 dollars for a waffle should be a crime. And it took them 30+ plus to give out my food which is bizarre because Waffle House wouldn't do that to me.

I had a horrible experience at New Day Cafe. At first, things were okay--we had a short wait, got seated, placed our orders, and were served water and coffee. However, we sat there for over 30 minutes waiting for our food. By the time we were on our third cup of coffee, we finally asked the staff how much longer it would take. They informed us that our ticket somehow never made it to the kitchen and our order was never processed. We ended up paying for the drinks we had and walking out. Terrible service and incredibly poorly managed. Ridiculous!

Food was very good . I had the 123. Pancake, bacon , eggs 3 over medium . All perfectly cooked . Remodeled interior actually looks nicer in person than on the inside . Appears clean and orderly with friendly family staff. Service was excellent for a wed mid morning. I would expect it to be good that time of day. . The thing that caught me off guard was the receipt had a charges that I was not expecting was the non cash charge , I assume for using a card even though I wasn't asked if I'd pay cash or card . Sometimes letting go people know upfront or on the menu or at some point would be nice .

Upon arriving I was greeted and seated quickly. Clean place, has a bar area if your having drinks. I had a Bloody Mary, it was very good. It took quite some time to place my order, in fact I got up to hunt someone down. I ordered the omelet, it was good but no cheese on top so had to dress it by asking for a side of cheese and salsa but the hash browns way under cooked. Once she brought the food never came back, I had to track her again to get my check. Food good but like all the reviews service, not so much! I tipped 10%.

I'm all for supporting a new, small and local business but New Day really missed the mark for me. My family of four and one child came in on a Saturday afternoon and they were pretty busy but the experience we had was beyond disappointing. It took over 10 mins for someone to approach our table, after being seated. When we were finally approached, just for water, it was the poor guy who was at the hostess stand that checked on us. We put in our orders right away and waited over 45 mins. No one checked in on us or bothered to come by and say it would be out shortly. I had to flag the same hostess down to ask that they packed our order to-go because my nephew was getting fussy and honestly, so were the four adults sitting and waiting. Lol The hostess was really apologetic and quickly went to check on our meal, which came out about 10 minutes later on regular plates. We then asked for to-go boxes and the check. Upon packing our meal, I realized that the New Day Skillet I ordered wasn't actually a skillet, but an omelette...this was annoying. One, because the order was wrong but two, because the inside of the omelette looked pathetic it was barely filled with any of the toppings. When we got home and finally had a chance to eat, the best thing was the country fried steak and that's primarily because the portion was so large. Our omelettes were okay, a little dry and pretty bland. My nephew's pancake was terrible though. It tasted like undercooked flour... I'm not sure how long they've been open but they would benefit from a lot more training.

I was hankering some breakfast for lunch. The reviews were mixed but decided to give it a shot. The place is clean inside and looks like it's a family run restaurant. The service was ok but not super friendly and only checked in on my once. I ordered the Gyro omelette with a biscuit. I live some good lamb and any good gyros. Well that's were my excitement ended. The omelette looked good when it came out. My hot me right away was the almost rock hard pieces of lamb meat. It was almost beef jerky texture. There's no way this was city fresh. It had to be sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. Seemed like they threw in a lot of cut up tomatoes to try and fill the omelette. The meat didn't taste any better than it looked. It wasn't bad but just didn't have much flavor. I opted for grits instead of hash browns. Wish I hadn't. Those grits were minute made and had 0 flavor. I had to put so much salt and pepper in there to eat them. Definitely a hard pass on coming back here.

I am absolutely not exaggerating when I said this is by far the worst brunch I have ever had in my life. I was taking my sister-in-law out for her birthday brunch, and I had selected the place and have never been more embarrassed. We had a reservation and showed up there and didn't get seated until 15 minutes after arrival even though the place wasn't busy at all. They told us to wait while they clean the tables which took 15 minutes but once we got escorted to our seats, they asked us to wait to sit down so they can wipe out the table. It took us another 15 minutes to finally place our orders. The waitress Bonnie was really nice enough to let us know that they were shortstaffed. However, there was barely anyone they were waiting on, but also there were at least three servers wiping out windows and doing other random things that could've been used towards serving. We ordered very simple things for brunch and when our food arrived, it was the most hideous looking plates I had ever seen in my life. My fiancé is chicken fried steak plate showed up without the steak. My brother-in-law's plate had the saddest looking hashbrowns. And don't even get me started on the eggs. Every single person's eggs were raw. And by raw, I mean actually running raw where you touch the egg and it explodes into translucent gelatinous liquid that made all of us wanna throw up. When Bonnie saw that I hadn't touched my egg and asked if I wanted a different cooking I told her I'm fine but she said she would be OK with getting me a different egg since I looked absolutely mortified. But when the new egg arrived, it was also the exact same. The only thing that was cooked was the top and the bottom. Everything in the middle was translucent. And don't get me wrong. I love my over medium eggs and sunny side eggs where the white is cooked, but the yellow is raw, but this was a case where the entire egg was raw and that was the case with every single one of our eggs. I really don't quite understand how as a brunch place you have one job is to cook eggs right and you fail so miserably at that. We ordered the French bites for the table and reminded our waitress three times that we hadn't received them and While getting the check. She was shocked that they still hadn't arrived and was still trying to get us to wait until they arrive when we told her no don't worry about it. Please remove it from the check cause we're done eating and no longer want any more disappointment. The last straw was us ordering the mini pancakes from the kids menu for our three year-old and the plate showing up with five giant pancakes. That right there is what's wrong with America. What if healthy parents do not want their three-year-old to have the opportunity to finish five large stacks of pancakes. All of us felt terribly sick after eating those raw eggs and literally could not stop talking about how terrible this experience was. I have literally never seen my brother-in-law not finish his meal no matter how nasty it is. And for him to not eat, the rest of the eggs was absolutely telling. read more

Came here noon on a Sunday (prime brunch time for a "brunch house") with a resi for 6. The restaurant was half full They had us wait for 15 min while they "cleaned our table". They led us to the table and proceeded to then actually clean it in front of us. From there, these things happened: 1) Eggs undercooked to the point of rawness even after they tried again. 2) Forgot an item of the order, even after two reminders. 3) Overhead a waitress complaining about a small tip to another table. 4) Waitress would get checks instead of taking tables food orders. 5) and eggshell on top of my fried egg. 6) Messed up our check. Don't go here. Food subpar and overpriced. Ambiance a cut rate diner. Service a bunch of unprofessional complainers, acting like they were understaffed for brunch time for a brunch place. read more

We used to LOVE this place. Our entire extended family went here 2 or more times a week. But they recently started a renovation. Today they gave us a new, very condensed menu. We used to order crepes and gluten free pancakes and the Little Cowboy for our grandbaby. Not anymore. All our favorite wait staff were gone, and the menu was cut by about a third. It's too bad too. We went here so frequently that our wait staff already knew our order. It's not the same place. Val, we miss you. Medina, we miss you. It's not the same place anymore. read more

Small business Saturday so I Decided to give this place a second chance, there will not be a third. Wait staff is poorly trained, slow and forgetful. Another patron waited so long for her food that when it finally arrived, she walked out after looking at it. Food quality is mediocre (bacon is deep fried ) and I'm being kind. Extremely high prices for what you get. Too many options to ever go back. read more

I had breakfast here the other day and it was absolutely delicious. I had the works omelette and hashbrowns!! I enjoyed sitting at the new bar top and my server Bracy was an absolute delight and had a great sense of urgency! Service was awesome and would recommend to all my girlfriends! The new changes overall have been an upgrade! 10/10 read more

Food took forever and was lukewarm at best. My order was incorrect and missing ingredients. when brought to servers attention he showed me what he turned in and did offer to have it corrected. I chose not too as we did not want to wait any longer. Husband's food was also lukewarm and hash-browns were burnt. We have frequented this restaurant numerous times and have never had a problem. Staffing has changed a lot as well as menu so we are thinking maybe new owners. Table across from us was also not pleased with their order. read more

Well, we walked in, waited 15 minutes until someone even approached us. Then we got seated and it took forever to get a server. The drinks came out reasonably quick, then it took 45 minutes to get COLD eggs, sausage, toast and hash browns. Then they asked if I wanted them to re-make it. I told her no, we are in a time crunch and I don't have time to wait 45 minutes MORE for disappointment. We will NEVER be back. read more

We went to New Day Brunch house in Lake Worth We had a pretty lazy Sunday morning and arrived around noon. It was packed but we were seated quickly. They have a good menu with a lot of options. Hubby got chicken fried steak with grits. My son got chicken and waffles. My daughter got banana Nutella waffles. And I got a "the works" omelette- ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes. I was sad they didn't have sour cream for the omelette. Everyone agreed the chicken and waffles were the best :) The biggest complaint was waiting 40 minutes for our food. The food was mediocre at best. The service was very slow. They upcharged for everything. The bill was $28 for one person due to all the up charges. For instance a side of jalepenos was $1.50. Don't recommend. read more

Everything is cooked to order, absolutely wonderful brunch, freshly squeezed orange juice and the coffee is strong! I cannot stress enough, this family business is doing it right. Great service, moderately priced menu and quick to be seated. Windows all around the entire place allowing it to be lit up to start your day off like a better approached Dennys, but much better food. Absolutely terrible! We arrived shortly after they opened, they were not busy. We waited over 30 minutes for breakfast and finally had to leave because we were going to be late for an appointment. We left hungry with no food. The waitstaff was completely useless. I asked someone if they could check on our food and she never did. We will not be back read more

I got the chicken and waffles here and they chose quantity over quality the chicken was massive but overcooked and dry, the breading on the chicken was burnt and falling apart. The waffle was no better falling apart as soon as I touched it, and the middle of the waffle was undercooked a little. The Ambience is not the best, the seats are half broken and the windows open up to a open street, there are some nice fake plants in the middle of the store but other than that I rate this Ambience 5/10 the service was good, I will say the coffee was absolutely terrible and way overpriced. Wish I could give a better review. The place had extremely long wait times without staff being honest with waiting guests. We were asked how many guests in our party by every single staff member to which they were frantic when we told them we have 4 and a baby. Tell me you live in Texas without telling me you live in Texas ;) David and I have driven by this brunch spot in our neighborhood nearly every single day and it wasn't until almost a year of living here we finally popped in to try it! I'm generally skeptical of generic-looking brunch places because I feel like I can do just as good at home, but... WOW, I was actually really impressed by it! Service is prompt and attentive - I feel like nearly everyone who was working the floor came by our table at least once. They serve @segafredozanettiusa coffee AND they have a giant orange juice squeezer at their bar where they squeeze fresh OJ to order. I knew I had to get their waffles because I'd seen my friends' posts and it just looks so cute... And I have to say I did not regret it! The waffle was fluffy with a perfect crisp exterior and absolutely yummy! The fried chicken was also excellently moist, great batter and well-seasoned. The food is good priced at a decent price compared to an average big businesses like Waffle House, ihop, and dennys. The service is good but the food takes too long to come out. Very little room to sit at. Compared to eggsquisite off the Clifford exit it's lower quality and overpriced. Coffee is about my favorite part of the brunch. read more

The chicken cutlet used was thin compared to the thick fried version it had before, everything was a bit beige, and a rather small serving of hash browns accompanied it. I had a standard black coffee alongside it which tasted a bit watered down and my partner has commented that the speciality coffees are not as good as they used to be. Other new additions to the menu aren't exactly what you would expect, for example the Monte Cristo is more a deconstructed version of the Bennigan's classic but it's not obvious unless your waiter tells you. The price is typical of downtown but the food doesn't rise to the occasion and the value proposition for me isn't enough to come back unless something changes. Thats not to say the food is all bad, but seeing what it was prior to their menu change, it's just uninspiring for the price. The service however has remained top tier and every time I have gone I've had fantastic service regardless of if it's a Sunday morning with a hour long wait or a quiet weekday lunch.

However the bathroom sinks may just be an elaborate prank pulled on every guest of this hotel. There are many photos already on here, but the pictures don't do it justice. The sink is approximately 7" x 12", and has a mirror jutting out over a portion of it, leaving you with roughly 4-5" of functional sink space. This will be the smallest sink you've ever used in your life (and I've spent lots of time in NYC and Chicago, where I've used some very small sinks). Need to wash your hands? You're getting water on your feet. Shave? Better wear a bathing suit. Wash your face? A wetsuit is recommended. Accidentally turn the water on too high when doing any of the above? Bet you didn't know you were about to take a full shower! I'm not sure the building codes in Dallas, but apparently you can get away with installing dollhouse fixtures here. Choose another property just simply so you don't have to deal with the hassle.

Let me just give a special shoutout to the service in particular. I have not had such a good set of servers (from front of house to bartenders to waitresses) in a very long time. They were excellent. The food was also very good. However, to be honest, the steak was under-seasoned and a little on the tough side. I bought a 12-once ribeye and we split the 32-ounce tomahawk steak. Visually, stunning. But the ribeye was certainly on the tougher side and both steaks needed salt. Overall, really good experience - but I was expecting better flavor from the star dishes. Nonetheless, still would recommend.

A quick note on seating: the patio is lovely in theory, with the optional open windows and a breezy feel, but the chairs are not winning any comfort awards. Inside booths are the move. Also worth noting, this is Fort Worth, and once the thermometer hits triple digits, the patio conversation ends itself if the windows are open. Plan accordingly. Malai starts every table with steamed sticky rice and an eggplant dip, which is a charming little ritual and a genuinely good one. We also kicked things off with the Edamame, a heads up on the heat level there, and the Fried Imperial Rolls, filled with ground pork and shrimp and served with a sesame soy sauce. Fair warning: these do not photograph well and arrive at the table looking a little shy. Don't be fooled. They're flavorful, subtly spicy, and well worth ordering. For entrees, we tried the Basil Vegetable Fried Rice two ways, one vegan and one with chicken. The vegan version was a genuine surprise, with vegetables cooked just right and a flavor that didn't need the chicken to make its case. The mushrooms, however, had the texture of something you'd find in a hardware store. Chew at your own risk. The Green Curry, meanwhile, was a case of too much of a good thing. The curry was so heavy-handed it drowned everything underneath it. Sometimes restraint is a virtue. Save room for the Banana Pot de Crème. It's creamy, subtly sweet, and a graceful finish to the meal. The service at Malai is enthusiastic, and I do mean enthusiastic. The staff works as a team, all smiles, attentive, always nearby. Occasionally a little too nearby. More than once a plate nearly disappeared before we were done with it. It's a small complaint, and honestly a far better problem than the alternative. They're warm, cheerful, and clearly enjoy what they do, which goes a long way. Portions are generous, so order a few dishes and share the wealth. For a lunch stop between shops, Malai Kitchen punches well above its weight.

Maybe it was the fresno peppers. Maybe it was the habanero cheddar. Whatever it was, I loved it. Now, in terms of the patty, I thought it was great quality. I haven't tried their beef patties to use as a comparison but I still enjoyed the burger very much with the impossible patty. Only qualm about it was that the patty did give way about halfway through. Though, I find that's on par with a good messy burger. Overall, would come again, especially with the immense variety. The next time, I will definitely look to try the Radio Goat - every purchase supports KERA, the local NPR station!

When building your own burger, it's difficult to know all of the available topping choices. The only downside to our visit was that there was a very large dog dining inside the restaurant. The staff allowed the dog's water bowl to be placed on the table, and while the dog remained on a leash, several employees stopped to pet it before returning to refill drinks, deliver food, or check on guests. That wasn't something I was comfortable with and took away from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

It's hard to find good vegan dumplings, so I'm so excited to have discovered these! Definitely not your average veg dumpling, these are packed with flavor! The rice was also pretty solid, a bit oily for my liking but flavorful nonetheless.

We came here a month ago and learned that the restaurant was closed for a huge party. In fact all their locations were closed for a huge party. No biggie except this manager indicated we should have known as it had been posted for weeks.....posted where? The manager indicated this was the first complaint she's had in 5 years? That in itself irked me..... I love everything about Blue Mound, from its origin story of how the restaurant came to be and its charming story around the owners. Normally, love the food as seen by previous reviews but the Restaurant needs to see consistency...especially with its daily specials and its Main Manager shouldn't minimize concerns...
