Pulido's in Willow Park! Just like many that grew up with Pulido's, we've now made this new Pulido's our go-to family dining spot in the area, thanks to the chain being revived by those culinary wizards at Westland Hospitality (Margies, JDs, Westside Cafe, etc.). At the Pulido's in Willow Park, you'll find the Pulido's of your childhood - much of those same, simple but delicious menu items that can be found at almost any of the tex-mex haunts of yore. For me, it starts with their chips and salsa which just hit perfect. My favorite go-tos are: Puffy Taco Dinner, Tacos al Carbon, and the Fajita Enchilada Dinner. They do have something for everyone here, so I try to get something new each time. Also, lunch menu on the weekends! If you've yet to try out our new neighborhood tex-mex that we've been in dire need of, stop in at Pulido's or if you came as a kid and haven't been back, you'll be happy to see how little has changed. read more

I had not been to a Pulido's restaurant in 20 years or so. Back then, it was an all you can eat Mexican buffet. Pulido's is back with a transformed concept, 100% better than it ever was in the past! Our server, Alicia was very prompt, friendly and knowledgeable, and we didn't have to ask for a refill on our Auto Palmer's... She just brought them when she saw we were drinking them down to the bottom! We will be back time and time again, because this is as good as a TEXAS Mexican restaurant can get! read more

Grabbed a bite of dinner on their outdoor patio. Patios in Texas can be a real draw and we visited on a day where sitting outside was a plus. Service was very good, and that can be hit or miss sometimes when o e is on a patio. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed. Food was on par with other Tex-Mex in the area. They have a white queso that was different and pretty tasty. We will be back. I want to try a few more dishes and see what I settle on. I tend to visit different establishments depending on the dish I am in the mood for. Each seems to have their own specialty. read more

Pulido's is back, baby! I was so excited when Pulido's reopened in Fort Worth (I left a review when we went) and even more-so to have one in Willow Park! We had lunch there yesterday and it was great. They do a very brisk business during peak times, but still provide excellent customer service. Our waiter had a couple of very large parties in addition to our small party of three (and other tables) ... he never forgot about us. And when he was occupied, other employees checked in. The food was delicious, as always. I got a lunch enchilada plate, my dining companions got lunch fajitas. Most Mexican restaurants don't offer lunch specials on weekends; I really appreciate that Pulido's does. The atmosphere always feels positive and festive, and that's due to such excellent employees. Came in here for dinner last night. Service was very good the and very attentive. The queso was creamy. The enchiladas had solid flavor and the chicken al carbon were very good. The rice was bland and not completely done. Other than that it everything else was solid. read more

Our family group of 12 decided to come here since we all use to go to the old Pulido's all the time together. The feel of the restaurant is totally different than any Pulido's from the past. The service was great and that is where the stars came from because based on food alone they would've gotten a 1. Pros: - The chips and salsa were solid 8 out of 10. - The sour cream sauce and salsa Verde were great. - Service was spot on. Cons: - The rice and beans had ZERO NADA NO seasoning on them whatsoever. I've had more flavourful rice from a bag you microwave or beans out of a can. Very disappointed. - The rotisserie chicken in the enchiladas and the beef in the crispy taco had SOOOOOOOO much salt on them. It was overpowering. Would I go back? Only to give one more chance when they can maybe work the kinks and get back to the great Pulido's food we were use to back in the day because chain fast food had more flavor and wouldve cost a lot less too. read more

First time visitor. Pulido's is clean and has a little entry that will hold a lot of people on a Sunday afternoon. Traditional Mexican decoration's. Dad said they've been open about 6 months. Stopped in for a quick family dinner. Parents ordered chicken enchiladas, we got nachos with ground beef and beef fajita quesadillas. We got the large guacamole as an appetizer. Guac was good - come in four scoops - which was perfect - 4 of us! It was good. I added extra salt & pepper. Parents liked the enchiladas. They said a bit on the bland side but they'd come again and eat them so maybe not so bland.... Quesadillas were good. The one comment husband made was when they said peppers he thought jalapeño and it was bell pepper. He liked them and would order them again. The nachos, I wouldn't order again. I got the ground beef as meat. They tasted like they made the nachos first and set them under the lamp. The meat was dry and the cheese looked like it'd been there for a minute. The plus side is the meat was seasoned good. I also had the watermelon mixed drink. Not my thing. Closed out with my usual bourbon & coke. Always a winner lol! read more

Pulido's just recently opened in Willow Park, and I was quite pleased with my visit there. It was crowded on a Sunday night and we had to wait for a table for about 15 minutes, but that is to be expected at the opening of a new restaurant. We started off with the typical chips, salsa, and queso. I loved the salsa, very fresh tasting and flavorful. Also loved the white queso. Off to a good start. For my entree I ordered the create your own combo with a crispy beef taco, a puffy taco, and a cheese enchilada with chili con carne. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. Only downside was the ground beef was just a tad on the salty side. It's a good sized restaurant inside that has a bar area with probably 12 seats. This is a place I could see myself going back to frequently. read more

The food is excellent, many of the waitstaff have come from other local eateries and it's nice to see a familiar face. Service was quick and the food was brought out promptly. The water is nice, no after taste or smell which many folks can appreciate who have bad water at home. My only recommendation is that we saw a cleanup lady moving a child's high chair from a table to another and there was no attempt to clean or sanitize it. Many parents bring their own wipes but it would be nice to see an attempt made to prevent any unforeseen health issues from spreading. We keep trying to find a really good Tex-Mex restaurant in the Ft Worth area. We moved from Spring, TX 3 years ago and there was fantastic Tex-Mex everywhere. Not the case here sadly. This restaurant has good salsa and chips but everything else we tried didn't have much flavor at all. Margarita was good but very small portion for $12. Rice and beans had no flavor. Tamale had ground pork so weird texture as most tamales have shredded meat. Enchilada tortilla was stiff and cheese inside was weird consistency. The best flavor of meal was the old fashioned enchilada sauce. We had excellent service but will be continuing our quest to find good Tex-Mex in Ft Worth! read more

Started with a gin and tonic, which was perfectly fine, but both the drink menu and food menu felt a little limited. I was hoping for a few more options on both sides. The chips and salsa came out quickly, but the salsa was a bit watery and pretty average overall. I ordered cheese enchiladas with steak and chicken. The rice, beans, chicken, and sauce were all solid, but the steak was pretty overcooked and not the best cut of meat. The enchiladas also had some chewy, firm spots that made the texture feel a little off -- almost like parts were overcooked. On the bright side, the atmosphere was great and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a decent meal and a perfectly fine spot if you're nearby, but it didn't quite do enough to make me want to rush back. read more

Very good service. Chips and salsa were good as well. Food was just okay . My wife and I both had a cheese enchilada. The tortilla was like it hadn't been steamed or fried, it was thick and stiff. Not tasty. Unfortunately this is more heavy sauced tex-mex you can get at lots of different places. Biggest disappointment was the 4 oz margarita for $10. Full of ice and very little to drink. Grew up eating Pulidos and El Chicos in the 70-80s. Was glad to see Pulidos open new location here in Willow Park. We arrived little after 1:00. No problem being seated. They have done nice job converting western store to Tex Mex cantina. High ceilings. No crowding tables. Rustic floors. Nice fellow named Fredrico was our waiter. No attempt to rush anything. Brought our beverages quickly and waited for us to look at extensive menu. Companions all tried different lunch specials. I got the 3 item combo. 2 Puffy Tacos and one chicken enchilada. Food arrived maybe ten minutes later. Hot and fresh. Everything was excellent except my Puffy Tacos. They get a B- Little overcooked and not really puffy. Still tasty and certainly no deal breaker. Just need little tweaking to be perfect. Chicken enchiladas were done right. Sour cream sauce w/ sliced jalapeños on top. Beans/rice both tasty. Chips/hot sauce just right. Met manager Rob. Another affable fellow. Discussed new owners and how hard they worked and continue to work to satisfy their patrons here and at all the various legendary Ft Worth locations they are bringing back for delighted former customers and new generations to come. Worse food I've eaten anywhere. The corn tortillas were not edible! The food came out cold and it tasted awful. Do not go there!

My husband and I went to the new Pulido's in Willow Park yesterday. The room was delightful. The service was great. The prices were good. The food was just ok. We planned to eat outside because we had our two dogs with us, but there was a big sign saying "No Dogs on Patio". I hope they change that because it would be a big draw to be able to bring them. (The only drawback to the Chuy's in Hudson Oaks is that there's no patio.) We tend to go to the Press Cafe in Aledo simply because the dogs are welcome. But I'd always rather have Tex-Mex. read more

I gave 3 stars because others food was good but mine was absurd. We ordered to go and I had asked for Charro beans instead of refried because I've been reading they were good. Well.... I got no beans at all and where the beans would be was a 2 inch pool of grease. I had ordered the cheese chile rellenos and they did not drain at all and two partitions were full of grease. Super unappetizing. I had to get 3 paper towels to soak up the grease to even try to eat. I was able to eat a little but the egg batter was so greasy I figured I would get sick so I just ate only a little. It tasted okay I guess... but I was so grossed out by that point mentally I just couldn't do it. Really wanted those beans.... Store bought tortillas by the way which always speaks to authenticity. My dad's floutas and husbands cheese enchiladas were "okay" they said. I may try eating there one more time but they would have to really be on their game for me to try a third time. I was really optimistic and excited about them coming to the Aledo area... sad. read more

First time we went we asked for the patio because our little dog was with us, they said the patio was closed, no big deal we got it to go, food was ok to me but wife loves it. Second time we went the patio was open, we enjoyed the evening and had our little doggy with us who is well trained and hassle free, food was ok to me but wife loves it. Third time we went was pretty much like the second time. Fourth time we went we took some friends with us because the outdoor dinning is pretty nice but was refused service or seating on the patio because we had our little dog. Would be nice if they were consistent, would have saved us from taking our friends after we told them they would really enjoy it. Not gonna lie this is the first restaurant in Tx with outdoor dining that has refused us service due to our 4 legged friend and we have had several allow us in the restaurant as long as he stays on the ground. Came here on a busy Friday night and the whole place felt like it was everyone's first day of training. The staff looked completely confused. There was basically zero organization anywhere. What made it even more frustrating was that there was a wait when we arrived, even though there were plenty of open tables and no reservations listed for them. It honestly didn't make any sense. The hosts looked like high schoolers at their first job and didn't seem to know what was going on. The food was okay for the price not the best ever, but not terrible either. The only reason this experience wasn't a total disaster was our server Nathan. He was charismatic, attentive, and somehow managed to handle the chaos like a pro. He stayed on top of everything and made sure our table was taken care of despite everything else going on around us.He recommended the sopapillas and I'm glad we listened because they were actually a 10/10. If you go, definitely get those. And honestly, request Nathan as your server because he's the only one who seemed to know what he was doing. read more
