I reallllllly wanted to love this play. I absolutely love the different types of waffle toppings! The s'mores and Elvis, how cool! As much as I loved all the toppings, I did not like the actual waffles themselves. The waffles were very heavy and tough and that really isn't my thing. read more

Had been eyeing this place since it opened. Honestly wasn't worth it. $9.50 for a waffle the size of your fist and 2 school lunch frozen chicken tenders. Not only that but the waffles had pieces or hard crystallized sugar all through out that just made the already maple syrup drenched waffles even sweeter. Sure the decor is nice and modern and the staff was friendly but it's not really worth it in my opinion. Oh and they don't accept cash. read more

if i could give this place 0 stars i would the service was absolutely soooo horrible and i genuinely was excited to come here. me and my sister who came to visit me out of town come to this restaurant and we come in hours before they close and they have chairs put up and they are mopping i ask if they are still serving they say yes. me and her go to order and we go sit down the guy incorrectly gives me two drinks and she plays and was like i guess its mine (she is 20) and im like no lol i will just drink them both were joking around. the owner im assuming comes to us mid conversation and takes both drinks and says he's refusing our service and we need to leave because we are tresspassing and he can call the cops on us. im trying to explain to his that is was a simple misunderstanding and im being so respectful and he was just rude cutting me off saying we need to leave waving his hand in our face and everything. needless to say i will never be returning because it could have been handled in such a better manner than it was. The waffles are delicious with several topping options. My husband laughed and said there should be an insulin station at the door. I had the waffle with Nutella, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream. I also had the bottomless coffee. My daughter had the waffle with lemon curd, blueberries, and whipped cream. Both were delicious. Keep in mind this place is brand new in town. It got three stars because the food was good but the seating and wait situation was awful. It was a Saturday morning around 9:30. There was no place to sit inside or out. People were standing everywhere. One big table of people had finished eating and we're just hanging out, but most tables were waiting on their food. The tables outside look cool but they are black metal with no umbrellas. The high today is supposed to be 100 degrees. Hopefully this will all work its way out after they've been open awhile, the newness wears off, and the employees get the hang of things. It might have been helpful to position someone at the door and telling people the occupancy was full but they could place an order to go. They may be short staffed like everywhere else in town though. We finally asked for our food to go and went across the street to the garden where we could at least be in the shade and eat. There aren't tables in the garden so you either have to stand and eat or sit on a bench. Part of the problem is the LR/NLR food scene. There are greasy spoons for breakfast and fast food but very few trendy breakfast places so when one opens, everyone swarms it. Another place downtown had people wrapped around the corner waiting for breakfast. Northwest AR has several great trendy, fresh food breakfast places but central AR doesn't and it shows. This place has a couple of menu items with breakfast meat like chicken strips or sausage but it's mainly just waffles, ice cream, coffee, and alcohol. If you want a side of bacon, this isn't the place. Go to Buttered Biscuit or First Watch in NWA if you want that. The interior and exterior of this place are very cool and all of the windows let in great natural light so it doesn't look like so many places in LR that try to be trendy by painting the whole place black so it looks like you're in a basement. When the weather cools off, the outside eating area will be great. There were even some sofas and a gas fire pit outside that will be nice in November. Again, hopefully the kinks will be worked out and this will be nice - and sugary, carb-loaded - addition to the local restaurant options. read more

food was decent but over price. worst of all the staff was incredibly rude to our party of 8. the bigger lady at the register yelled at me for grabbing a coffee cup that I ordered. once our food came out they gave us no silverware and when I went up to grab some she yelled at me a second time for doing so and the guy with a bald head and beard and cast asked me "what my problem was ".staff was unprofessional and service was sub par. don't recommend unless you want rude service with overpriced sub par food. if these employees worked for me and were as rude to paying customers as they were to us they would be unemployed. read more

Ambience is nice. Coffee was mediocre. No options for cream or sweetener, just coffee mate and sweet and low. Waffles were undercooked, tasteless and tough. Liege waffles should have a prominent sugar crunch but these did not at all. My daughter said she could taste bananas in her waffle and she did not order Banana waffle. Chicken was ok. Nashville hot sauce was good. Service was polite but very slow. Waffles served in a cardboard boat which is a weird way to eat chicken and waffles. Hope they make some improvements. read more

Honestly was very very disappointed. Not live my up to the opening hype. I had to ask for a fork because none were cleaned. you can tell the chicken strips are pre frozen, which isn't that big of a deal, but if you're charging $10 per waffle I would personally change some things. Nice esthetic and vibe minus the flies. Maybe we went on a bad day... My waffle was hard, tough and lukewarm and edges burnt..topping were great. Latte was just ok even though couldn't taste the flavor. Staff had a lot of free time, even went outside to vape and hang out in the back on the phone even though the booth tables were not clean. I was really disappointed to be honest. Especially for it being a newly opened restaurant, the waffle itself was difficult to cut and chew. The Nashville hot sauce was really not good and the lemon curd on the southern Belle wasn't very lemony at all and very runny. All in all a big disappointment for a place I was really looking forward to enjoying. read more
