I love pressed juicery!!! This place really strives for clean, refreshing, simple ingredients in their juices and freezes that they serve. I love pretty much all of their juices, a couple not so much but hey that's alright, you can't always love everything you see and eat, lol! My favorites from pressed juicery are Greens 2, Greens 3, Greens 5, Roots 3 - does have a bit of a kick to it b'c f the ginger, Citrus 1 - not too sweet/tart compared to the other citrus drinks, Chocolate Almond, Vanilla Almond, and any/all their premium waters. They also offer juice cleanses as well, but be forewarned juice cleanses are not meant for any dietary weight lose of any sorts, juice cleanses are meant for detoxifying your body - taking out all the bad toxins in your body and just basically replenishing/cleansing your body! They offer 3 types of cleanses, the one I tried was their cleanse 2 which is their most popular cleanse and it was pretty simple and easy to do. Now with any cleanse they recommend that you don't eat during the cleanse(s), however if you feel like you need to eat, only eat whatever the bottle says that you are drinking from and just like a few slices of pieces of the fruit or nuts r vegetables that is listed on the bottle(s). I usually do these juicing cleanses every 2 weeks or so and it actually makes you feel, at least for me, energized and feel better i guess with your body, haha! So give it a try, only if you feel you can do it. the juices for the cleanse you have to take ever 2 hours so I suggest doing the cleanse when you are going to be at home the whole day :) read more

Very healthy place for juice and froyo! Located right around the corner of an outdoor mall, but the store is rather small. I ordered the strawberry almond frozen yogurt. It comes with 3 toppings for free, so any additional toppings would be 50 cents each. I added strawberries, blueberries, granola, and cacao syrup. I really enjoyed the yogurt and felt that all of their options were relatively nutritious. The froyo comes in 2 sizes. My only complaint is that they don't give you much frozen yogurt. Since my last review of the "hollow" cone, Pressed has made dramatic changes for the better. I'm glad they fixed. I noticed a new style of filling in the bottom then swirling up the top. The 2-step has really made a difference. So I raised the rating to 4 stars. The freeze is 5 stars. The juices are still expensive. Almond, date, vanilla, and some other minor ingredients for $8. I'm leaving this review because of the employees. The woman that works the opening shift is the coldest, unfriendliest, employee I have probably ever met. One time I came in on a Friday 15 minutes after opening and she looked at me like I had 3 heads. Lol - she did this because I was holding my dog and it was difficult for me to get my ID handy - who the F asks for ID when buying juices?! And after I just proved I was a resident?! I also added honey and raspberries, but honestly, the almond butter by itself with the refreshing taste of strawberry is such a great combination that I can't forget the taste, even now (and I came here a week ago). You wouldn't think it would be hard to provide good service at a limited cafe that serves pre-made juices but this location proved me wrong! I love Pressed Juicery and usually frequent the Pasadena location. However, this location is much closer to my place and every time I'm at Americana, I can't help but pop in for my fix. The service between this one and Pasadena is like night and day. I remember my first visit, when there were two girls chatting away and didn't even acknowledge my presence. Luckily, I was a regular and didn't have questions so when they finally looked at me, I just asked for my juices and went on my way. The second time, I was greeted with a hello but then just silence - no how are you's, no offerings of samples, no questions. Just standing there, waiting for my order. And then when I did ask about one of their ingredients, she didn't even know if it was a fruit or an herb. Sigh. I had to tell her. This is SO DIFFERENT from Pasadena, where the employees always engage me in conversation and tell me about the seasonal juices, offering me samples upon samples, educating me on the health benefits. Where I was given an apology for having to wait 30 seconds because she didn't see me right away. When it comes down to it, it's just a convenience store for me to get my juice. So why do I just get a bad taste in my mouth when I see this location now? Because bad customer service really bugs me, that's why. It's enough for me to forgo my juice until I get to Pasadena or another location. read more

What I really love about this location, and if I lived closer I'd get one daily, are their freezes!!! Basically like soft serve made from their juices. They offer a few flavors: GREENS (greens 2 juice + dates and coconut) ROOTS (beets, carrots, apple, lemon, ginger, dates, coconut) CITRUS (orange, apple, pineapple, dates, coconut) FRUIT (apples, strawberry, coconut, dates) CHOCOLATE (cacao, almonds, sea salt, dates) VANILLA (vanilla, almonds, dates, sea salt) The super sweet juice lady kindly let my hubby and me try all the flavors. Score! They are all really good, so it just kinda depends on what you're in the mood for. The greens and roots taste very healthy. The vanilla and chocolate taste so amazingly good that they must be bad for you. A look at the nutrition information proved the exact opposite. The chocolate actually has the least amount of sugar and both the chocolate and vanilla are only 40 calories for 4 ounces. Can you believe it? I don't know what kind of magical voodoo this is, but I'm so grateful for it! I got 3 flavors in 4 ounces: fruits (which tastes like a fruit roll up), greens, and vanilla. Every bite I took of the vanilla, I couldn't believe this was actually good for me. It tastes SO.GOOD. The hubby got chocolate and vanilla swirl and we both couldn't stop talking about the amazingness of it all. Besides being so incredibly yummy, the presentation is so cute. You get swirls on the bottom, toppings in the middle, and more swirls up top. Definitely picture worthy, but we were too excited to dig in for me to take a picture to share with you. Oops. Speaking of toppings, they have lots of healthy (and not healthy options). Like fruits, nuts, hemp seeds, shredded coconut, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips. The chocolate/vanilla swirls with swirls of chocolate sauce looked amazing, but I was trying to be healthy and got strawberries and hemp seeds. So there you have it. Juice Freeze!! Or Froju? I love it! Great healthy alternative if you have a big sweet tooth like me. Not as smooth as frozen yogurt so don't expect the same texture, but that's what I loved about it because it made you feel like you were eating something more filling. FREEZE: Vanilla (5 stars): This was my fav! Love the dates in it. Chocolate (4 stars): Still really good but I just liked the vanilla better which is weird because I am a big chocolate lover. Roots (4 stars): Very strong ginger! Good but couldn't taste the other flavors much in it. Got half vanilla and half chocolate with dark chocolate chips and shaved almonds and it was delicious! Love that he put half the freeze in, added toppings, then added more freeze and toppings on top. That way they don't skimp on the toppings and they aren't all falling over the side. But ever since they started doing the ice cream versions of their juice, I was hooked. This place is one of my favorite spots in Americana (along with strolling around and people watching). Today my wife and I had the vanilla flavor, made out of healthy ingredients like dates and almonds. It was SO GOOD! It's neither creamy or milky like ice cream because obviously they don't use milk. Juicing has been such a trend, and I jumped at the chance to try it for free! Pressed Juicery was giving away samples of their juices and freezes during their grand opening sale. They did a great job moving the long line quickly to the front! Their associates were very passionate about the juices and had a wealth of knowledge about the juices and the company. Don't be afraid to ask the benefits of what you're drinking! I learned that these juices are made ahead of time and pressed so that the freshness is still there when you open the bottle 3 days later. The freeze is a new product of the company. Think of it as frozen juice haha. Well, I love fruits and veggies so I naturally liked those options for the freeze. For some reason the freeze tastes A LOT better than the juice itself. Not sure why.. because no additives were added! I tried the roots 3, which tasted bland. My bf, a huge meat head, got the greens 1, and it tasted "healthy." He hated it, and felt like puking after that LOL. But he could taste how healthy it was, so he chugged it down. Lesson to learn from this: juicing isn't for everyone. I first got the chocolate almond because I remember a cacao almond milk that I had a while back and have been craving that earthy nut flavor! DO NOT GET THIS. It was SO thick, and had no flavor. However, it is very filling. After mixing it with milk, it was a lot more tolerable. Before, it tasted like cold oatmeal in a bottle. My favorite flavor from there is the Brasil Nut. It was sweetened, had the greens (Kale), and had the nutty milky flavor I was looking for. It also was VERY filling as well. However, sadly, because I'm a poor unemployed student, I cannot justify spending $8 on this drink or $6 on these juices when I could make these juices at home. I saw this place 'coming soon' when walking through the gallery for awhile and didn't really think too much about it. I like healthy juices, but figured they'd probably be way overpriced for something I can probably make at home. A buddy of mine is a huge fan of this place and after meeting up for dinner at the Americana, we headed over as he kept going on and on about their 'ice cream.' Why is a juice place selling ice cream? I was curious and went along for the ride. Soooo, it's true. They have ice cream made from almond milk. Soft serve, and a variety of flavors even! I tried the vanilla, chocolate, and fruity one and settled on the chocolate one even though I think vanilla is by far the best. I had it topped with their peanut butter sauce, raspberries, and granola. All which are painfully organic. It was a decent sized dessert portion which was a tad over priced (not as horribly as I thought it would be.) It tasted great! I truly savored every bite and am so impressed that this was a truly healthy dessert. I think it had a whopping 90 calories or something ridiculous like that. Staff was also great. Very friendly and funny. The shop is pretty small and nicely decorated (very earthy to further prove how organic and healthy they are.) It is a nice little treat when you want some dessert and don't want to over-indulge. They are pretty nice here if you want to sample the flavors. After almost 2 years without sugar, this is a breath of fresh air. I'm so glad I found this place and bravo for your creations. Not only everything is super healthy, but the frozen juices are the perfect treat for people who cannot eat sugar and desserts. With such a drastic diet, I've been craving desserts a lot and fruit and dry fruit are okay, but there is nothing to compare with the illusion of eating ice cream. My favorite is for sure the chocolate one. However, I tried all the flavors and I must say that I liked them all, even the vanilla, which is extremely rare for me to like at all. You can sample them of course. My next thing will be to try their detox juicing program and see how I feel after that. Long overdue review, but it should be no surprise that this PJ gets 5 stars from me! This one is not as cheap as the one in Manhattan Beach ($5/juice, $6.50/signature) but it does have the Freeze. And unlike the Hollywood location, this location actually makes you feel like the price you pay for these overpriced raw "froyos" is worth it. The employees who make my Freezes do so with such care, putting my toppings at the bottom and again on the top (very decoratively, may I add). I have also had someone put toppings in the middle before swirling the second half. I love that this location has non-stingy employees that swirl it a few inches above the cup - when I went to Hollywood the other day, the Freeze stopped at the brim and there were barely any toppings. Also, this is located at the Americana, so you can easily get your Freeze and shop/walk around. I come here pretty frequently and for good reason! Haven't tried their juices, only the frozen yogurt. I was deciding between getting Sprinkles ice cream and this and I am SO glad I chose the froyo! I got the Fruit flavor and it was perfect. Super yummy and refreshing, and it satisfied my dessert craving without making me feel like I consumed half of my daily caloric limit in a few bites. I tried a bite of my friend's Greens flavor and it was also light and tasty. Those were the two best flavors, in my opinion. The vanilla was a lot creamier and didn't taste as refreshing to me.
