I went here years ago when they first open and came again recently this past weekend, on a hot summer like evening. My friend and I had just done a small hike not too far at Griffith Park and needed something cooling and refreshing. Thankfully, Yoga-urt came to mind and definitely did not disappoint! Despite there being a line when we arrived, it moved quickly. While we waited, we were given some samples to try, which helped us decide what to order. They have a few rotating flavors each day and they all sounded so enticing! You definitely can't go wrong with whatever you order! I love how they make everything in house, it's all vegan and made mostly from cashews! I ended up getting a mini size as it seemed like the portion was just the right amount as I wasn't super hungry. I got the peanut butter prana and brownies as a topping. They were very generous with the amount of brownie pieces they put in. The frozen yogurt was very smooth and creamy, yet still felt very light. I liked how it wasn't overly sweet and I could really taste the peanut butter flavor. The brownies had a lovely soft gooey texture and the chocolate really enhanced the peanut butter taste. We dined in outside and they have two lovely picturesque patios both in front and in the back. The ambiance is very relaxing and quaint. The store itself had a fun vibe and was bright and fresh. It was also very clean inside. They have refrigerators if you want to take any ice cream pie slices or pints to go. Parking was super easy as we scored a spot right in front. I will definitely return again soon, especially with the weather being as hot as it's been! read more

Favorite place ever! As someone who is dairy free and gluten free finding treats is hard. I order from Yoga-urt at least weekly. Lavender and peanut butter were historically my fav but tonight I tried Black Sesame and JUST WOW! Didn't know it could get any better but it just did. Keep it up! Love you guys! read more

This was my first time trying Yoga-urt. It was an amazing experience. We went there late at night right before closing and it was packed. Service was outstanding. The young lady who helped us was very nice and friendly. She offered us samples and informed us about the new items on the menu and seasonal items. I picked Pumpkin since it is pumpkin season. It was so good and I could taste the pumpkin. If you like extra topping, there is extra charge. Also, they offer to go options. They are in containers by the door. For the ambiance, this location is clean and well maintained. For seating, it is mostly outdoor seating. I saw couple of tables outside or maybe they are a shared with other businesses not sure about. For parking, it is mostly street parking. It might hard to find a parking spot during peak hours. Overall, it was a great experience. I will be back to try other flavors. read more

Great little hidden gem in Glendale. They have daily flavors to choose from, so not everything you see on the menu are available, but rest assured, you'll find something you like. They also have different flavors available in pints, inside the freezer. You get to choose your toppings like most yogurt places. They serve organic yogurt. This place is located in Glendale but there are 3 other locations across LA. Here's my quick summary: Pricey Plant-based, all organic Cute little yogurt shop that offers yogurt, smoothies, ice cream sandwiches, cookies, etc They offer a variety of toppings for an extra $0.50-1.00 each. This was my second time at Yoga-urt, but first time at the original Glendale location. Yoga-urt fro yo is delicious. Yesterday, I sampled pineapple, tahini, and salted caramel, but still ended up getting PB and Strawberry (the two flavors I got my first time). I love that they are now offering naturally sweetened flavors, like tahini. This Yoga-urt location was very small inside, especially compared to visiting the Santa Monica location first. BUT- I remind myself that this was their first location. Still helpful to share my experience though, especially for those that don't like cramped spaces. There were multiple groups of customers inside when my friend and I were ordering and the space where staff could help us out (flavors, paying) was narrow, so it felt all smushed in with the other customers when two groups were trying to be helped at the same time. I also had to wait for my fro-yo after it had already been pumped out because someone was paying and there wasn't room to hand me the fresh swirl. They do have outdoor seating available, which was nice to be able to sit and enjoy the fro yo while it was still cold! read more

Came here to try their ice cream for the very first time. And it was sooooo good! I tried their chocolate bliss and I was in bliss with the first bite. It wasn't too sweet or too bland. The texture was smooth and perfect to my taste bud. I didn't add any topping because I'm just simple like that. With this inflation, their prices for the ice cream started around $7, which I thought was at higher end. But you get what you pay for, right? So if I want to try their ice cream again, I need to save up some $$ and come back. Haha read more

The soft serve has cashew, almond and milk. Everything here is "green" and is vegan friendly. They provide samples of their soft serve which is nice. They offer smoothies, soft serve and other cold goodies like banana split and more. I had the Birthday Cake & Strawberry Serenity for my soft service on a waffle cone and topped it off with vanilla cake. Again, the soft serve here is unique because it is nut based opposed to it being dairy based. The soft serve is obviously very nutty and gives of a different flavor profile from what type of birthday cake flavor I am used to. Service is great and I am happy I went here. I'd love to come back and try whatever flavors they have at the moment. read more

Yoga-urt is really good vegan ice cream. It's better than any other ice cream I've had. The employees are always nice and welcoming and super helpful. My favorite is the PB in a mini cone. Today I tried blueberry and it was delicious too. The ambiance is nice. They have outdoor seating in both the back and front. I highly recommend trying it out. read more

"The yogurt here is actually really good--no complaints on the flavor or quality. But I was surprised (and honestly a bit put off) to see multiple dogs inside the shop while people were ordering. There's no sign saying dogs aren't allowed, but it's a food establishment, and seeing pets around where food is served isn't exactly appetizing. Service animals are one thing, but this wasn't that. I hope management considers putting up a clear policy or sign in the future. Cleanliness matters." Could've been 5 star read more

Delicious vegan dessert. I ordered a small peanut butter with chocolate chips on top. Peanut butter flavor was so delicious, very rich and creamy. Next time I won't order any toppings, they weren't needed. The dessert is perfect on its own. It's a bit pricey a small with one topping was almost $10. Vegan Yogurt peaked my curiosity. The store has rotating flavors and sell pints. They have baked goods in the fridge. Street parking was not bad. The staff was friendly and mentioned that their yogurt has cashews and walnuts. Ordered the small pistachio passion and strawberry serenity. I'm in love. I had no clue that a plant based fro-yo could be this delicious. It's decadent but light and perfectly sweet; hits all the notes that you want from a frozen yogurt. They have a rotation of flavors available, depending on the day, so you can always try something new. Pick from their list of toppings and voila, you have a tasty treat. The store is fairly small but there's seating outside. Service is good, never waited long to order. This is better than your average pink berry/yogurtland, trust me! read more

I love Yoga-urt! It has quickly become one of my go-to frozen yogurt places in SoCal. The yogurt is amazing, the staff is kind, and it is all vegan (+gluten free for yogurt)! They do the classics (vanilla, chocolate) really well. You can taste the quality of the yogurt and tell that it is made with love. They also rotate in a bunch of other classic froyo flavors. I personally love the salted caramel and cookies and cream. They rotate flavors so there is always a lot of variety, and they carry 6 flavors at at time. I have never had a problem that there was not a flavor that I didn't like. Size-wise they have a mini, small, medium, larger, and pint. I love the mini and small options because it gives me a reason to go whenever and fill my froyo craving. If I'm really in the mood or plan to share, the medium and large definitely hit the spot. The mini is definitely a good amount for a dessert, though I recommend at least the small size if you want to get a topping. They have regular and premium toppings which I think all cost extra ($0.50 for regular and $1 for premium). I think the toppings really elevate the experience so I would recommend at least one. I thought you used to get one free, but most recently I had to pay for even just one, which was a little annoying tbh. That leads me to the one con, which is the price. My most recent yogurt was a small with one topping and it came to $10 (see pic). While the serving is pretty good, that's up there for yogurt in my opinion, but I knew that going into and come back because it is 1) so good! and 2) supporting local businesses. Also, they are cash-less so be prepped for that. read more

If your trying to find a really good creamy frozen yogurt spot this is the place. Based on my experience from other places that give non-dairy ice cream this is the one that gives the closest feel to ice cream. The area is always calm, always parking, and very quick service. The flavors are always changing and always something new to try, I always try to look up their flavors before I go! I really recommend the strawberry and blue berry mixed! read more

I love this place for my occasional (which would totally be more frequent but...sugar) soft serve fix! Yoga-Urt provides an ample variety of flavors (my favorites have been vanilla, chocolate peanut butter, ube, matcha, strawberry, blueberry, and TAHINI) that rotate every week to month. They provide mini options to larger cups depending on how much you prefer along with countless toppings. The servers are always informative and share samples of anything you'd like! My fiancé and I LOVE this place! They have some rotating flavors, but some of the basics are amazing! We love the strawberry with the peanut butter or the tart! But I always love trying the new weekly flavors. They also make ice cream sandwiches and pie slices which are just as decadent and perfect for any occasion! Found this place next to our workout class and decided to try it! Everything is nut based but dairy free. My favorite flavors were chocolate and strawberry. Tastes like real strawberry and chocolate. We got the frozen yogurt obviously with a topping or two. They have plenty of healthy smoothies, and their toppings were great. Their smoothies looked very good too. I was very tempted to get one of their yogurt in the tubs in pistachio flavor. Kinda regret not getting it. read more

I usually am not a fan of yogurt but my best friend told me she loved this place so she took me here to try their yogurt. I didn't think I would love it as much as I did. I got their peanut butter flavor and chocolate with cacao nibs at first and loved it. I will say the prices are very expensive but in my opinion it's worth it. The sizes do keep you full. I got a small and it filled me up to the point where I barely even got hungry the next day. I love yoga-urt so much I came back the next day and got the same flavors but in a different size. I got a large and split it with my sister. Even though we split it, we could barely finish it because it was so filling! I also really like how this place is vegan. I am lactose intolerant so this yogurt helped my stomach out alot! Also, when you check in for your first time, you do get 10% off your order which was nice! So I tried this place out, and boy am I glad I did. The fiancée is mostly vegan so she wanted to go. Went with her and my mom. We sampled a few and eventually settled on what we wanted to get. I think each of us got larges with 2 flavors and 2 toppings because.....because. So I want to break down a few parts as to why I settled on 4 stars. First, the taste. It was amazing. Best vegan frozen yogurt I've ever had, and on par with the best non-vegan I've ever had. This probably puts it up over 5 stars, and it's the reason we will be going back. Some negatives, though. One, portion sizes varied greatly. The back one in the picture was mine. Don't know if the pic does it justice, but it is significantly larger than the other two. Now, I don't know if I got too much or they got too little, but it a little "that's not fair" got thrown around. Variety is also a problem. There is an extensive list of flavors, but only 6 we could choose from. I think you could have bought pints in other flavors, but for the whole experience, just 6. I get it - you don't need to have 31 flavors to be good, but I can easily see someone going in and just not finding a flavor they like. Last is price. Two of them came to $13.50 each, with the one with the brownies being an extra $1, so $14.50. I guess brownies are "premium". There was nothing I saw to denote what was or wasn't premium. The charge was accurately listed on the board, but no real way to cross reference to the toppings out there. When 3 people going out for yogurt comes to over $40 plus tax...that's a lot. Also, minor gripe, but I lost about 1/4 of my blueberries before I even got to sit down. A few were lost when she moved it over to the counter, a couple more in the handoff, and a couple on the floor before finally stopping to mash them in and stop the madness. Hard for me to say what I'd do different, but it was something I remembered. I personally am a fan of the "pay by the ounce" model. Everything then is consistent and allows for people to add as much/many topping as they want. That's just my commentary on it. Like I said, I'm going to go back I'm sure. Taste rules supreme. read more

I love, love, love Yoga-urt! My favorite is the chocolate/peanut butter swirl, but they have so many interesting flavors to try. I always end up getting at least 1-2 pints to take home when I go in. They have lots of delicious toppings to add but I just like the yogurt as is! The people working there are nice and have recommendations if you ask. read more

Yoga-urt is a healthier soft serve / frozen yogurt made fresh daily in our store in Glendale. Our flavors are made from scratch on site, starting with hand squeezed almond milk with all organic and dairy free ingredients and added probiotics. All original, all natural, and all delicious! Plus we are eco friendly with all compostable paper goods! We also have organic smoothies, kombucha floats, banana splits, shakes, pints to go, and more. And our cookies for our ice cream sammies and our pie crust for our pie slices are made from the leftover almond pulp/flour from our soft serve! Also Gluten-Free. Vegan. Soy-Free. And Kosher. Available in our store, or through Uber Eats & Grubhub.

Yoga-urt is a brand new soft serve concept that opened its first retail location in Glendale's Kenneth Village in July 2015. Yoga-urt provides nourishment for those seeking a healthier life by enjoying organic, dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free treats in a peaceful setting. Yoga-urt started with the name and our founder Melissa’s desire to create a healthier frozen yogurt / soft serve to enjoy with your friends and family. Melissa couldn't let go of the concept of an upscale yogurt bar serving tasty organic soft serve, smoothies, coffee, and tea. We are excited to share that we make our own handcrafted soft serve in the store, starting with making our own almond milk and then adding an almond cashew base and flavoring.

Meet the Business Owner: Melissa S.

Melissa is a native Angeleno with a successful career as a project manager. In 2011, she took a year off from the corporate world and immersed herself in everything yoga which she started due to chronic pain. Melissa refers to this as her "yoga bubble year". It was during this time that the idea of Yoga-urt was born. Her dream was to create a space that makes people feel good and happy (like yoga does for her), while enjoying a healthier treat with their friends and community. It was something she quickly became obsessed with. With no restaurant experience, but with passion and persistence, she pursued her vision for Yoga-urt for over 4 years, before opening the 1st location in Glendale. As Yoga-urt is the first all organic and vegan frozen yogurt store in Los Angeles, Melissa is proud to offer a healthier option for people who want to feel good about what they eat without compromising taste.
