But my point is that only person could broke the lower display is your fixer, who changed the batteries. It cannot be damaged from outside. Casio was strictly saying that that's only way to damage/crack the display from inside and when they investigated inside, they found the displayed damaged from inside. Even normally doesn't need to push the pressure to install the battery, that's the only possibility to happen like this according to professionals from CASIO. ========================================= I brought my Casio G-Shock GA1000-2B to change batteries late March 2019. After they changed the batteries, I found the watch inside got fogged once and the watch stopped working. I thought the sealing wasn't tighten enough and brought back to them. They opened the watch and told me there is no water leak. After that somehow luckily the mode change and analogue clock hand works but lower Display was still blank. Without lower display showing, I notice that I cannot adjust the time for this watch. Then I brought the watch to Casio official repair store. A repair guy told me the reason why this happened by enforced and cracked while the battery change at this store!!!! And now the repair cost is more than $120, which is half of the price of this watch repair price. And I decided to buy a new watch... When I brought this watch, they were saying that it's not their fault. But a Casio tech told me its their fault because a guy changing battery put too much power and cracked the display from inside. Please don't bring your precious thing here. You might get it damaged back and they say that's not their fault!!! I'm so sad to lose my important watch that I have been using for long time and got it from my birthday present from my wife. Quite memorial one for me... I could of had the ring resized for free through the original seller but they do not resize in house so it would have taken 4-5 weeks. My fiancé called Prestige Jewelry and found that they were reasonably priced and the turnout was extremely quick. We showed up to Prestige on a Tuesday right before they were closing (~5:40pm). Phyllis was great and she really knew her stuff. She sized me for the ring and told me it would be ready the next day after 3pm - talk about a fast turnaround!!!
