At the time of purchase on March 20, I was told--and it was put in writing--that several issues would be addressed prior to delivery, including the tires and warning lights. I picked up the vehicle on April 1. On April 6th, an independent mechanic found several issues that had not been addressed, including concerns with the O2 sensors, exhaust system, error codes, and worn tires. That evening while driving on the highway with my kids in the car multiple warning lights came on and the car began shaking while driving. We had to arrange towing back to the dealership at our own expense. While they did perform some repairs (including replacing the O2 sensors (these are brand new!), a follow-up inspection still showed that the exhaust will likely need replacement, the radiator was not actually new, and the Run-Flat tires had been repaired rather than replaced. Overall, the vehicle was not delivered in the condition promised, and we spent significant time arranging transportation and following up. I would strongly recommend having any vehicle independently inspected before purchase. Based on this experience, I would proceed with caution. read more

In my 20 years of car-buying experience, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Prestige Motor Sales was extremely unprofessional and communicated poorly throughout the entire process. I worked with Alex and Caden, and unfortunately they were the most unresponsive and unreliable dealers I've ever dealt with. There was little to no communication during the sale, and they completely dropped the ball on arranging delivery. I live in New York and was purchasing a vehicle from Massachusetts. I was told the car would be delivered, but three weeks went by with no updates or responses despite multiple attempts to reach them. Buyers beware. I strongly recommend staying away from this dealership. Save your money and go to a legitimate, brand-name dealership (Jeep, Honda, etc.) that values professionalism and customer service. Frustrating experience. I bought a car and I paid full price because they said they were going to fix the breaks. When I go to pick up the car and say all set with the breaks and he said says it went through the shop etc. I told them I was giving it to my daughter for graduation as a surprise with the bow and whole ordeal. Well, I sign the paperwork thinking they did it because my salesmen just said they did when I saw him before signing. Driving home it turns out they did not fix the breaks as it drove the same. Started to shutter a few days after while breaking so not safe to give to my daughter and I had no time because i would miss graduation so I had to fix at a local shop quick because I am far away. They would not do anything and said is was warranty even know it was contractual and did not care. So I had to eat a lot for the breaks and they broke their word. Make sure if work is done you check before you sign and pick up. Also check every feature, button light, knob, and moving part so you know what you are getting. I knew the sunroof did not work. However, it was stuck on the glass roof when I saw it. I pick it up totally broken closed so it hid the big water stain on the headliner. They did say they could not guarantee the sunroof but I don't think they tried. Again, check everything. They only had one key so glad I asked. And you even have to check to see if you have all the same tires because I had 3 Dunlops and 1 Goodyear. I am going to trade my Jeep for a BMW but I am not going to do it there. read more

Took them to court under Lemon and won -- they will try to hold your car for nearly 30 days as a workaround for Lemon Law when you must have your car for 30 days AFTER IT LEAVES THE LOT. They try to hold your car a month after you pay to fool inexperienced car owners and are definitely inadequate when it comes to managing repairs and resolving issues. Alex is definitely a very crooked and messed up guy. Started arguing a lot and will manipulate how information is presented to make you lose sight of reporting them to Lemon. BUYER BEWARE!! Look at all negative Yelp/BBB reviews first! 43 negative reviews! We signed the paperwork on a 2011 Range Rover from Prestige on 3/17/23. Although we saw the salesperson having the need to jump cars with a portable jump starter in their lot just to move cars we did not pay too much attention to the fact that we would be a victim of a dead battery. They had already pulled the car that we were interested in earlier out of their inventory; possibly needing a jump that as well and kept the engine running for awhile? Prestige obviously does not start nor move the 250 used cars they claim they have in inventory. Batteries degrade just sitting idle in cars for months especially in New England winter weather. Even the computer chips in a car can drain a battery over time. They need monitoring so they don't lose amperage and voltage capacity. We were told by the Business Manager that they would inspect for quality control and have it State inspected, cleaned and detailed and we could pick it up a few days later. They had it for five days. Plenty of time to do the work promised. We took the one hour drive on 3/22 to pick up the car and found it unwashed and dirty on the interior. The upholstery rip we pointed out was not repaired and the foggy headlight lens remained untouched. Just excuses as to why nothing was done. There was less than 1/4 gas in the tank and we found out the fluids were low once we got it home, No attention to detail was ever spent for delivering the vehicle, as others have also complained. They later said it was detailed a few weeks before. Nonsense, it was dirty when we test drove it. The very next day on the 23rd when my daughter went next day the battery was dead. Nothing was left on in the vehicle to drain the battery so she called AAA.. The mechanic spent 40 minutes trying to jump/charge the battery to no avail. The battery was seven and a half years old any rated for amps. We immediately texted Prestige and ltold them of the problem. Their first response was we did something wrong. The battery was junk. We first suggested that they have one of their mechanics drive down with a new battery and install it. That text was ignored. They then said we should have the car towed up to Malden (an hour in traffic) where they would look at it. That would have involved a flat bed tow truck at our expense and a second car to pick up vehicle later. We decided that was not an option and told them we were going to purchase a new battery. That is when the texts went dead. No response. We have all the texts and emails from the company on file. So does the Attorney General. She had to take a separate car to purchase a new battery rated for a V8 Range Rover and the cost was $254.76. We sent them the invoice and did not hear back from them. Only until we told them we were filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office did we get their attention. They refuse to compensate us for the cost of the new battery and only offered us $70 which he said was their wholesale cost for a battery. $70 wholesale for a $255 retail battery? We noticed that the dealership used to have a testimonial section on their website but it is no longer available. Possibly because they had so many negative complaints? They even asked us to leave a positive review the day we took delivery before the battery died! The Attorney General's Office of Massachusetts says they have the multiple complaints regarding Prestige Motors. More than any other used car dealership. Check the Better Business Bureau as well. They sure must be proud of the 43 one star reviews to not make a customer happy. Update 4/22/23 After we had the car for only 35 days and driven only 857 miles the brakes failed just 5 days after the 30 day 93A Massachusetts Lemon Law expired! Prestige Motors feels they are not responsible for knowingly selling a defective car. Mechanic said brakes were trashed. The rear brakes had frozen calipers and scored rotors. Could not be driven. Front pads and rotors were worn out as well. When the mechanic looked at the parking brake it was also not working and needed to be replaced. Have NO IDEA how the Inspection passed with an inoperable emergency brake. The result was a $2,499 brake job! The "implied" warranty offered by Prestige expired 5 days earlier. The had to have know the brakes were failing, but again they never did anything as far as preparing the car for delivery as they had told us. They claimed to have gone through the car thoroughly before delivery. Total scammers. Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (Many complaints already on file by others) and their reply was a joke. Our mechanic said the brakes were failing WAY before they delivered it to me. OHHH boy oh boy, where do I start? Started off with a bad review I left for Manny who just didn't even care that I was buying a car. Shortly after that I was contacted by Alex, their finance manager. After some negotiating he offered to lower the price on the car I wanted and I said okay. He presented me with a Bill of Sale Monday night (Sept 16.) By Wednesday I sent him my confirmation of my flight out to Boston to get the car that Saturday. I've requested time off of work, booked accommodation and put down a deposit to hold the car until I get there. I will be arriving from Chicago and driving the car back by myself. On Friday (Sept 20) at 1PM Central time (2PM EST) Alex called me and said "the car needs a new cat converter and it wont be ready, can we reschedule for next week?" Less than 24 hours I was informed my car WAS NOT READY. Since receiving my Bill of sale the car could have been checked Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but instead they waited until Friday. When I told them this was unacceptable he apologized and said there was nothing they could do but "We had everything fine with the vehicle till we when to check with the state inspection." That means the car was not fine. Not only did I waste all my time I will not be getting back, I lost out on my accomodation and flight because it was too late to cancel or reschedule. I wanted to buy a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee form Prestige motors but due to me living out of sate and all of there poor reviews I wanted to have a third party do an inspection on the car before I made the trip. Dastan T. emailed me earlier that day and tried to call him back, but he did not answer his phone and I could not leave a voicemail as his inbox was full. Not a problem as he listed his cell which he did answer, just a little unprofessional. I asked if they would send the car to the third party that was only 10 min away for an inspection but he refused stating that they were too busy. He then stated that they could have a mobile mechanic come by and do the inspection. I politely declined and thanked him for his time. I do understand that $6,000 might not be much compared to some of the other potential sales on the lot but based on the reaction I got from the third party mechanic and the rest of the reviews on the Yelp, it was not worth my time. Two days after I got my Audi, all of the engine lights went on. They had it for 14 days and returned it, saying it was fixed. Two weeks later the engine utterly failed. They said they would repair it, then it became they would replace the engine, and now we are 40 days later and the excuses keep coming. It is within the 30 day lemon law limit, and they are aware, but they keep making excuses, refusing to refund me, and forcing me to jump through the hoops. It's had a devastating effect on my 17 year old, this was his first car, and now he's lost his entire summer where he was looking forward to driving around with his friends. Actually, the headlight never worked properly even after "they fixed it." 3) Put a cheap battery on which does not work with a BMW. Every time I complained about the error message I was getting, he would tell me that I just needed to drive it for awhile. 4) Told me he would get a key that works, never did. I have to manually lock and unlock the car. 5) Sold me the car for an astronomical price given its condition, and this is what upset me the most! I didn't buy a junk. I bought an operable car -at least for the duration of its loan. Okay, at least three years? At least one year? At least ONE MONTH!?? If he had sold it to me for its worth, I would not be writing this. 6) When I went back to to the manager to rescind the loan and return the car (the owner had offered to take it back or fix it when I approached him a week earlier), the manipulative liar convinced me to keep it because I would've had to come up with another $2000 deposit and other fees. LIE! I found out later that I didn't have to come up with a new deposit. Again, I believed. 7) About ten days later, when the transmission began to fail (less than a month of me picking up the car) He refused to take it back, even though his boss (the owner) had offered to take it back or fix it. He claimed that the owner changed his mind. I wonder who had to do with this change of heart? 8) I gave him the alternate option to fix it while I was overseas (like the owner had promised), he said he would call back but never did. I've had to change the entire transmission, both the fuel pumps, the alternator and the belt, and it still doesn't work. They don't know what's wrong with it. The mechanic who's been working on it says that there was something wrong with the car before I got it and that the dealer concealed it. Again, I would not have been upset if they sold it to me at an appropriate price. In fact, given that its currently inoperable, this car should've been gifted for parts. Now, I despise the manager for the way he handled this transaction, but at least I could tell from that first look I took at him that he's not a good person. However, what I'm mostly disappointed at and hurt by is the owner's deceit. He seemed genuine (maybe because he's good looking; they say the devil conceals himself well). He promised that they're not in the business to scam people and that he would take care of it. But didn't. Whatever happened to honor? Morals? A man of his word? Who am I kidding! They knew the car had window issues before selling it to me and told me they would fix it. about a month later they still had not received the part for it. there was always an excuse of why Alex couldn't speak on the phone or why the part had not arrived yet. I finally got the car back and one of the windows still don't work. there were other issues with the car they said they could fix and they only fixed a few issues. I asked for a proper invoice of the repairs and yet another month later I still have not received any invoice. But they weren't mechanical issues, so I was willing to over look them. However, one of the cars MIL light came on 2 days after receipt of the vehicle. The code was for the EVAP system which was one of the codes the car had prior to purchase. So I contacted John and he said to bring it down and they would take care of it. They claim they replaced the evap sensor & solenoid along with the gas cap, but it only appears they replace the gas cap with an aftermarket gas cap that is not recommended by Hyundai. After being told the vehicle needed driven they reset the code and sent us on our way, but of course 2 weeks later to the day the MIL light came back on with the same code. We brought the vehicle back and their mechanic restated the car needed to be driven providing no clear indication of how long they thought it needed to be driven to reset the evap code. After them resetting the code again 2 weeks later, you guessed it here comes the pesky evap code again. Once again we brought the vehicle back to only be fed the same story, the car needed to be driven, but this time they said it needed to be driven straight for about 100 miles...WTF who has ever heard of that...But with no other options I took the vehicle for a ride, 100ish miles each way...and what do you know, the same evap code. After all this I start researching how long this code should actually take to reset and it states 10 to 15 minutes of city driving...Are you kidding me Prestige??? Where did your mechanic get certified? After contacting them about the vehicle back again, I was finally met by Alex with throwing the warranty in my face and due to the mileage of the vehicle when it was sold there was nothing they could do or was going to do any further. He said don't worry we'll fix it. So we bought the Honda Odyssey with 100,000 miles. The engine light was on before I signed. We go to pick it up and glovebox wasn't fixed. The engine light was off. The inspection sticker wasn't replaced yet. So I take it back and they send someone to take my van to get the sticker. I waisted for 3 hours in their little shack with my 1 year old. The guy comes back and says they were closed. So no sticker!! The guy put on 95 miles on my car while he had it. No excuse! Then on top of that I noticed my front bumper is hanging off. They didn't wanna take any responsibility but they fixed it anyways with wood screws! What the hell! Then every week I call for the glovebox and he gives me every excuse why he didn't get it yet. So needless to say I never got my glove box fixed. Four months of owning the Honda Odyssey, my engine seized. I called the Manager and he says to me I'm sorry we only do a three month warranty you're out of luck and there's nothing they can do it for me. So I just spent $2000 for a new engine in my 100,000 mile Honda. Which is unheard of. So previously I give this place a five star because Anthony the salesman pressured me in front of him to give a review as soon as he gave me the keys he wouldn't let me leave until I left a review. The reviews speak for themselves. Worst service I've ever experienced in my vehicle purchasing career. I brought it there twice to be serviced and twice it came back with damage to it. The broke my passenger heated seat and ripped the suede on the door panel. When I brought it to their attention they said but we fixed the airbag sensor right? So fixed one problem and created another. Then tells me that it's not under warranty so take me to court! I bought the car with cash about 6 weeks ago and only drove it one week. This place is great with good maintenance and decent deals, I bought a 2011 Dodge Charger and it was a pain to get really since i had to wait several days to receive but little did I know they went beyond my expectations that I wanted to have fixed such as touched up rust spots, new rotors, and new brake pads, fixed vinyl, as well as a new light being placed in. It was definitely worth a shot and went pretty well, i would recommend this place to buy a first car for school graduates! read more

From start to finish, this was a great experience. Guys from Prestige Motor Sales were excellent. I found the car on cars.com and emailed the dealer. He responded right away and set up time for me and my wife to come to the dealership and test drive the car. When we arrived, the car was even better than we expected. We test drive the car and knew right away that we wanted it. Alex helped us every step of the way with financing and he gave us a great deal with the decent percentage and he also was incredibly patient with the paperwork and walked us through the entire process. WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! As a few others have mentioned in the reviews, they're a bunch of con artists. Bought a car from here and they were very nice when we were interested in buying, but after we took the car, they turned into complete unreliable liars. We mentioned some concerns with some parts in the car that they said they had no problem fixing for us. That wasn't true, they stopped answering phone calls and text messages. We had to go MULTIPLE times in person just to keep repeating what needed to be fixed by them. Everytime we go, they keep saying "oh don't worry about it we will take care of it", that was a lie every time! They kept saying parts were on the way or that they ordered the wrong parts, but honestly after 3-4 weeks of not hearing anything, just shows they do not keep their word. Don't trust them, they do not do anything they promise you. I have text messages from Jay saying "I promise to fix it, I promise to take care of my customers". He disappears for more than a week and the car concerns were not fixed. We show up a couple more times and they are just sketchy about the whole thing. Nothing gets done by them. They do not care for their customers. They say they do, but clearly they don't. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PLACE AND THE PEOPLE. We showed up the last time after they said "the car will be ready and repaired at by 5", we showed up and WHAT A SURPRISE, it wasn't even touched, no one did anything to it. We gave up on dealing with these irresponsible people. Don't bother wasting your time or money here. Absolutely nothing was done by them. All of them kept saying sorry and how they feel so bad, and that they will handle it, but that is all for show. As soon as you leave, it's like they do not care about it. Worse experience ever. If I could return this car I would and never do business with them again. Great acting by them though, they pretend to care. The technical guys in the dealership have no clue about the cars they are selling and the dealers are liars. I bought a car with a technical problem that they promised to fix. After wasting my time with endless unsuccessful attempts to fix the problem they refused to take the car back or refund me. The problem was with the motor of one of the doors. First they said it was just needed a tune up. Then they said they needed to check the car to see the motor spec. Then they said they said it would take some time for the part to arrive from Utah or whatever. Then the part they ordered did not work. Any promise for an extended warranty was not worth the air they wasted to say it. read more

I purchased a car from prestige motors I paid $5000 cash he wants another 4K he had me lie to the finance company and tell them that I had the car in my custody which I did not I have texts showing that I did not have it in my possession and that was it I took it to a mechanic they told me what was wrong with it I have called them and texted them repeatedly and they told me he was on vacation I had to wait a week he comes back and he tells me he's not gonna do anything for it unless I pay him unless I pay him to fix what should've been fixed in the first place so if you come to this company your asking firproblems he was ripping the American people off especially during the UPDATE: LONG STORY SHORT: A rep name Constantine came up to me while I was setting up my day there to protest for my car to be fixed and spoke to me like I was a human being and agreed to have the car fixed, so I agreed to have their mechanic Manny fix it because when I was protesting I watched as he worked his butt off to get ppl their cars I felt I can trust him, I spoke with him and he agreed to do it so I'm here now getting everything done. So after this is all fixed I'll feel safe driving and the car will be complete! So I highly recommend if you have any problems ask for Constantine he is great. The owner Alex was there too and I was able to meet him, I just wish either one of them called me or approached me because I love the car and all I wanted was to get fixed what should not have been broke It was all about safety. While we overall got a reasonable deal on our vehicle Prestige failed in delivering good service. Before you issue them final payment and take delivery make sure they have completed 100% of anything you expect from them. The vehicle we picked out needed tires and had a small oil and coolant leak. When we picked up the car the TPMS light was still on and there was still coolant in the engine compartment. They told us the TPMS light would go out after the sensors were learned by the computer and the coolant was residual from the report. Well, the next day the TPMS light was still on and now there's oil and coolant on our driveway. So I return to Prestige where they take the car for a day and half to have their mechanic check the leaks and look at the tires. When I pick up the car again, TPMS light is still on and there's still oil and coolant visible in the engine compartment and they say their mechanic looked and there's nothing leaking. So I leave the dealer and go home, pressure wash the driveway and engine compartment. The next morning there's new oil and coolant in the engine compartment and on the driveway. So back again we go... the mechanic takes the car for another day and half. So I picked up the car directly from their mechanic this time and I see they actually did some work so I'm breathing relief, for about 10 minutes. I pull over for lunch and I get out of the car and smell coolant!!! Sure enough now I actually see the coolant leaking out of a heater hose!!!! Needless to say I'm fuming at this point. Now they want the car back AGAIN!! After all the money on Uber and asking friends for rides for all the back and forth I told them absolutely not, I'm getting the car fixed elsewhere and you can pay the bill! So he finally offers us a loaner which was a good gesture but the mechanic now takes the car for 3 days to replace a heater hose!! The other issue we had was we asked for the vehicles second key, the salesperson said he would order us a key and that they had a local person they work with that would program the key for us for around $50-75. We're a month and a half later and I've made 4 visits to Prestige and no key! Now the salesperson says they're waiting to get another vehicle of the same make with 2 keys so they can give us the other. If you buy from them just make sure 100% of what you expect is done before you drive away with the car!! read more

I'm following up on this review because when I purchased the vehicle the rear stabilizer bar and bushings needed to be replaced. I asked that it be done before I picked it up. To no surprise, this was not complete and I had to replace myself, I did that because I was sick of dealing with these scum bags. And now, 7 months later I need transmission work.
