    Meticulous dip nail manicure
    Anna M.

1st visit. Called to schedule an appt- was able to get my preferred date and time a week in advance for a dip nail removal and reapply. First thing, I was told to wash my hands- thank you for being clean!! It gives me peace of mind knowing that's a requirement before I stick my nails in a powder many likely have also done. The nail salon also is very tidy and neat. Sat at the station, it was well lit. I think that's important, so the technicians don't have eye strain. Picked out a color- was a little brighter than I anticipated, but all good! I love it My technician was very experienced and took great care on the shape. I felt like she considered a 360 view of each nail. I was worried that the dip polish would be put on too thick and look too bulky- not the case! Sometimes wishes come true, I was hoping to find a place that I could count on for excellent work and beautiful nails! I'm so impressed! I'm happy to say I found my nail spot!!

What a phenomenal nail salon! I've already booked my return appointment. I just moved to town and hadn't done my nails in months. I was very nervous about finding a new place and couldn't be more pleased. These are tipped and dipped.

Amazing service! I got a pretty coral dip powder color on natural nails. First time getting dip without the extensions, but my nail lady encouraged this and I'm glad I went with her advice! The staff here is wonderful - all so sweet and don't rush you in the process of selecting exactly what you want. They made sure my experience was very smooth and placed a lot of care into doing my nails. The staff are all very experienced and have worked here, so they're very skilled and dependable. The interior of the place is very beautiful and will make you feel just at home. The place also had a wide selection of colors here, even more than I've seen at other nail places. One thing to note is the store is only open weekdays, and the reason for this is because their majority of customers live further away from the inner city and mostly come here on the days they're at work in the office (and many more office buildings are nearer). From my experience, it's pretty easy to book an appointment even last-minute, so I would definitely recommend coming here for all your nail needs!

I've been looking for a nail place in the loop and Prestige nailed it. They're super fast, efficient but most importantly they do a beautiful job. I've been to Prestige several times for regular, no-chip as well as pedicures (seeing different nail techs) and I have to say they are definitely consistent. One of the managers is Pham and she is definitely the go-to. Pham is an expert and has been doing nails forever so her technique is impressive. I also really like that she reads up on the latest and greatest in nails. She freehanded my no-chip mani and it's flawless. I'm super happy with my nails. Prestige has a plethora of colors, finishes and even does nail dips. They do a great job of removal too. Other salons scratched my nail beds but Prestige has always kept them smooth. Notes: make an appointment I've seen them turn people away because they get booked up fast! -cash tips only -no Amex accepted

Nail length I would say medium

Please read to it's entirety! First of all, let me start by saying that Pham does an excellent job on dip, and the reason for this review is not based on quality of service. My nails always look amazing and she does a great job, and if it was not for my recent experience, I would have continued coming to her every 2 weeks. My PROBLEM lies with payment and the inconsistency of prices. Let me state that coming from the service industry I am HUGE on customer service and have always provided Pham with a 20 percent tip. Even on my last service. Firstly, I started off paying credit card and using Venmo for the tip. Then it turned into having the full service plus tip all on Venmo, which is strange. Also, my dip nails started at 50 dollars when I had first come in, as listed on the website. Unfortunately every time has been a different fee. Sometimes 55, 60 and my most recent 65. But I wasn't told about the higher price until the end of the service. I was told that it was 65 this time because I had tips, my nails were long and it took her a very long time to do. 1. I had 3 tips put on to shorter nails 2. My nails have been the same length for the past 2 months, please see picture 3. And yes my nails took time, but this should not factor into the price. When I asked her to be upfront about the charges instead of surprising me with the increasing fees time after time, she told me that maybe I should find another nail salon to go to. I don't think my request was out of line, and I think this is a terrible way to treat a customer that consistently comes in every 2 weeks, pays for the service (although priced inconsistently) and tips 20 percent every time no matter the cost. The quality of service is great here, but I will not be back due to the rudeness of telling me that I should go somewhere else when all I asked was for her to be upfront about pricing. I have many Venmo receipts of the inconsistency and charges. I have never said anything because I was happy with my nails, but I have a feeling if this is happening to me, there are probably others being mischarged or shadily charged the full price on Venmo. Just a warning for others wanting the dip service, please ask ahead how much it will actually cost. Shame on me for not speaking up until now. Pretty sad that I will be on the look for a more consistent nail salon with much better customer service.

Fantastic service, nice quiet atmosphere and very skilled mail techs! I love my new set and will definitely be back!

One or the best dip manicures I've ever received; and i am super picky! I was in town for the day and I needed them redone immediately. I called, they answered right away and took me as soon as I walked in. They were fast, clean and listened to the requests I had about how I liked my nails. The woman who serviced me was very thorough and they had a large variety of colors. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area who needs nail service. EXCELLENT!

Absolutely love this place. They have taken such good care of me both times I have been here. Ivan Tran is a master at the dip polish and rhinestones. I got my nails done on Friday and the gemstones have stayed perfectly in place with no issues. This last time I came in, I had just gotten a dip done on my nails a week prior (at a salon in Denver) and they were terrible. One of my nails had broken off completely, the shape of the nails looked like crooked almonds and there was still bright pink polish on the sides of my cuticles. Ivan got me right in put a tip on my broken nail and took his time reshaping my nails into a beautiful almond shape. He even fixed my nail when I bumped it while drying. If you are looking for a place that does quality dip polish, I highly recommend prestige nail salon. They do take walk-ins, but they fill up quickly so I also recommend making an appointment. (Also the photos I posted below were taken 4 days after being done so you can see how well they last)

    No chip French with Pham!
    Rosanna S.

Growing up with parents and family members who owns nail salons my expectations of another nail salon is higher than usual. I'm extremely picky about how close the polish is painted to my cuticles, how thick the nail polish is applied, how long does my no-chip last, etc. Yep, I'm a nail snob, but can you blame me? I've gone to many nail salons and have yet to return because they're sub par despite the high reviews. However, Prestige Nails & Spa is a winner in my book. I've FINALLY found my go to nail technician, Pham (I was really hesitating if I should tell you guys her name because she might get even busier). Pham is usually the one greeting guests and picking up the phone. She's like a jack of all trades there. My go to for no chip ninja. She does a wonderful job. The polish is always applied evenly and she remembers personal things about me and makes small conversation that isn't overbearing. All my no-chips have last more than two weeks with her and if my nail buds didn't grow so fast I would keep the polish on forever! The salon is clean and simple with spa pedicure chairs and a waxing room in addition to the manicure stations. Their selection of polish is huge which always puts me in a bind because I can never make up my mind. Overall, I definitely recommend Prestige. P.s. they're closed on the weekends!

Prestige is my favorite nail salon in Chicago! I've been coming for several years, and felt it was finally time to give them the well needed recognition on Yelp. The staff is incredibly kind, and they always do an amazing job and are incredibly meticulous. I also appreciate that the salon is cute and very clean as well. They go out of your way to meet your wishes (even concocting a mixed color to get the perfect shade for my wedding nails)! Pro tip: they are closed on the weekend. And during the week (especially lunch time or after work) it is best to call ahead and make an appointment.

For a nail salon in the central business district downtown, very reasonable prices and they can usually fit you into the schedule.

How much is dip powder? Is there an extra fee for soak off?

$60 for dip and soak off. They have the best dip in the city though so it is well worth the price.

Even when I called then I was asked if I wanted to mask up and come in and I little taken aback at the staff and management's willingness to risk safety. I was then told well do you want to move it to later and my response was, "I will still have the flu later." They charged me but said it would be credited at my next appointment and it was. Fast forward. I have a birthday trip coming up and I originally booked my appointment for Wednesday morning but then changed it to Tuesday evening at 8:30. My car fob died and my car is push to start. I called them immediately and said I could uber but it would get me there five minutes after the grace period. They said I was the last appointment of the day so they wouldn't allow even though they're open til 9 and I would have made it by 8:45. I ask if I can come at 9 as they had complete open avails for Wednesday from 9 to 3 PM.. I was told no. I would be charged for tonight and then again the next day. I say this is ridiculous as I am a regular, this is out of my control and you've had no appointments all night except for me. I did not cost the business money. You are supposed to stay open til 9 and I have offered two solutions. I am not going to pay 150 for a wax because i am being double charged. So, I book elsewhere. This morning at 9 AM, I get a call saying they will grant me a one time courtesy to walk in between 9:30 and 4:00 as they have lots of openings. I state that I said this yesterday and they told me that they are enforcing policy and that yesterday I was told I could not make another appointment and this is different as it is a walk in. I said it isn't given that there's no one on the books. The point is, I could've been accommodated. I told them I booked elsewhere and I wont be back. Marking me as a no-show when I called ahead to explain what was going on is honestly a little crazy to me. They are so callous and cold. The front desk can be very non-chalant and rude. Happy to receive my services elsewhere moving forward. Update - they have responded saying this has happened multiple times. It literally has not. It happened one time when I had the flu. I had a doc appointment the same day and wanted to be proactive. At the end of the day your staff and this response is absolutely why I will not be coming back to your awful customer service. So I guess we are both fortunate and blessed. Calling me to offer an appointment I could have gotten yesterday and not allowing me to arrive three to five minutes after the grace period for a situation beyond my control is nuts. You close at 9. I would have been done by then. This establishment never needs to worry about me. Terrible management. Terrible staff. My favorite waver left and I will be following her regardless. She said she hated working here and your waxers consistently complain about how you make them uncomfortable and that these rules are unnecessary as you all do not stay booked - ie - all time slots open today from 9 to 3. Your turn over is high and it will continue to be because the establishment is run by raggedy, unkind people.

I left a review and was surprised to be blocked. I even got an email about them blocking me, which…read morefelt a little odd lol. They mentioned not understanding my initial review. Happy to clarify. For context: I booked a lash tint & wax and brow lamination. After chatting with the technician, we walked through my options and she recommended skipping the brow lamination since my wedding was only ~2 weeks away and suggested doing a simple brow tint and wax instead. Just to ensure I felt the most comfortable leading up to the big day. I appreciated the honesty, so we adjusted the service while keeping the same appointment time and still doing the lash services. (For the record, my technician was GREAT!) What bothered me was still being charged $125 + $28 for the lash tint, even though a brow tint and wax is $50. It's not like I was trying to shortchange anyone. The only difference was not doing the brow lamination, which was the most expensive part, and the change was based on the technician's own recommendation. It just feels like basic fairness. When I go in for a haircut, I may book a full session in case we decide to add highlights, but if we end up only doing a single process, my colorist doesn't charge me for highlights I didn't get, since we work together to see what we are feeling for color/cut, etc. That seems reasonable. The front desk's attitude didn't help either. That's the most annoying part and probably being blocked... As I mentioned previously, I won't be returning. Luckily, Chicago has plenty of other options.
