Came in to get my nails removed and while they are off! it was the worst pain ever, the tech,while ripping my nail off, managed to snip the inside of my nail. when i had expressed my pain she just said only hurt a little. Definitely not just a little because half of my natural nail is coming off my nailbed. Will not come back and I would not recommend. Also it was 15 dollars to get your fingers cut and ripped off. Unprofessional. Other places charge that but soak it off AND put oil on your nails afterwards. Insane. read more

I've been going to Prestige for about 12 years. I only ever get a gel mani/pedi at most, so my services aren't nearly as involved or time-intensive as others. Pros: The front desk staff are always welcoming. The face-left of the salon is nice. Hit or Miss: The quality of the experience and the work has always been hit or miss. The service is never terrible, but absolutely varies by technician. Even with the same tech, the quality of service is inconsistent. Cons: The prices have increased more than is reasonable considering the inconsistency in service. Service prices are listed highest to lowest in the menu, which is sketchy and misleading. I prefer to book an appt online, but the online booking system listing of services doesn't match the in-salon menu, doesn't provide descriptions for the services, and the prices don't align. I used to endure the inconsistent service, since it was easy to get a walk-in appt and the prices were on par for the quality of service. Since this is no longer the case, I'm shopping around for a new nail salon. read more

This place did not meet any of my expectations. I went in for a gel manicure and left with 2 bloody nails, and not wanting to get a gel manicure ever again :( This was my 4th time getting a gel manicure so I am by no means an expert, but the nail tech who was was doing my nails was hurting me pretty bad. I told her what she was doing was hurting and she said it was normal to hurt a little bit. Now I would have been ok if it was only hurting a little bit. The issue was that while she was using the dremel on my nails, I could barely hold my hand still it hurt so bad. Though I knew something she was doing was off when she first caught the edge of my cuticle on my left hand middle finger and it started bleeding pretty heavily. She tried to get it to stop bleeding but eventually put nail glue on top of it which I thought was unsanitary. She then did the same thing on my ring finger nail on my right hand :( The manicure that she did give me also only lasted about 5 days before my nails started heavily chipping. They charged me $30 for the gel manicure. Overall, I would NOT recommend this place if you're considering getting a gel manicure. I have no idea what their other services are like but I have no desire to go back. read more

I really wanted to like this place so much so that the first time I came and got a lumpy full set I thought maybe it's a bad day. The second time, I came for a pedicure and gel x. The person doing my pedicure suddenly stopped my massage, when I went to look SHE HAD FALLEN ASLEEP WHILE RUBBING MY LEGS. They gave me $10 off for it, so I came back for a 3rd time, hoping this time would be the time I have a great visit. I get my pedicure from Tina, she is great. Get your pedicures from Tina. My hands, however, were bad. I asked to have my gel x removed and hard gel on my fingers, i also asked to have my cuticles cut. This usually includes cuticles getting pushed back, then cut. She rips the first two nails off using a nail tip. Because she didn't soak my fingers in any sort of acetone or gel remover, she rips 2 of my real nails that I had tried so hard to grow out. She then just clips the rest off, throws tips on the messed up ones and says "it's because they're uneven". She proceeds to file down the gel x nails, to even out the texture to my real nail. Thinning out the 3 weeks of natural nail growth. She doesn't do my cuticles. They're thick and lumpy and she didn't clean underneath. When the front desk attendant asked me whats wrong, I told her that I would just fix them myself at home because I felt SO RUSHED towards the end. Then the nail tech was confrontational and proceeds to go to the desk and explain why she didn't push and cut my cuticles when she heard me tell the front desk staff what was wrong. I felt super uncomfortable. The front desk gave me another $10 off, so I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because at least the front desk lady was sweet. read more

I went for an Extension builder gel set and payed 80$. Overall vibe and customer service was great, however, I asked two times if my nails were going to remain flat on the top with no Apex to which she repeatedly assured me, it would file into the correct shape. I didn't want to be rude When I left as She gave me the shape and designes that I requested however, the quality of the builder gel Nail itself is very very poor. This review is from a total of 2 visits I made lst summer because a friend of mine loved this place. I did not have a yelp account yet when Vivian did my pedicure. I went in and I wasn't picky , I just asked for purple nail polish. I was provided with the wrong color I had picked out a baby purple/pink and got a darker purple but I didn't complain. Vivian worked on my pedi and I started to feel pain and burning. I told her to stop picking at my toes and she wouldn't stop. She did this max 3-4 times, it seemed malicious. First time getting my nails done here. Overall, the place was cute they have an iPad for you to check in at and there's plenty of people there to work. They have a great variety of colors and offer a tons of different packages to choose from. My pedicure was fine. I got French tip. It wasn't exactly my favorite line but hey, it was my first time going there so I figured next time I would just let her know if she could do it a little thinner that would be great. Now my nail tech Tracy wanted me to give her a review, so I decided why not. When she was doing my length of my nails I told her I would like it a little bit shorter, and she kind of looked at me, disappointing and told me that with a almond shaped it would look better if my nails were longer and I told her well I do like them a little shorter since I have car seats I have to get my kids at it and she said oh no problem I'm gonna file them down later. Later never came my nail stayed long. She printed me out a ticket for my nails and I noticed that she charged an additional seven dollars for length of nails. I let her know that I told her I didn't want long nails, and now she was trying to charge me and she said yeah we charge 5, 7 and 10 for nail length on top of the gel and cuticle removal, which I figured there would be a charge for. Overall, the nails are pretty basic except for I'm unhappy with the link still but I'm definitely not going to be going back into the salon ever again. Let's talk about something unrelated to nail service . The owner of the salon came into the store a little bit upset and had two of her girls quickly get her set up for a pedicure and manicure. She was upset and had a headache and had a stomach ache. One of the girls gave her something to eat that looked like a sausage and she proceeded to swing it around and take pictures and laugh and telling the other employees in the store to look at her while she ate her sausage it was pretty tacky. I have not been back to Prestige in a very very long time. The shop is organized much better and they offer beverages. The prices are absolutely obnoxious. I have to say I received one of the worst pedicures in my life. I had gel on y hangs and toes both of which I needed removed and a new nail set. The woman that did my pedicure must have been new. She used a huge nail file and was scraping the gel and the skin off of my toes to the point where I had to tell her she was hurting me. She used so much oil on my legs and was going above my knee. I was mad because she got oil on my new pair of pants after she said she didn't. My fingernails look fine on top. However when she cut my natural nails down she didn't file them, she just spammed new tips on and put a lot of glue under my nails. So now I have huge clumps of glue under my fingernails and sore toes that are now starting to scab. I had to go on Amazon and buy an electric hand file like they use in nail salons to chip away at all of the glue under my nails. Just awful. read more

I went one evening and requested to remove my acrylic nails and have a simple manicure. I wanted to give a break to my nails from acrylic gel etc. The result for a simple manicure after the acrylic was removed is terrible. The nails are not uniform and not the same length. I was given a massage on the hands with cream over all the dust resulted from the taking down the acrylic. Initially when I entered the place a lady was assigned to me and because she didn't wanna to the service I requested someone else had to replace her after she started cutting my acrylic nails. It was my first time, but definitely not coming back. If a simple manicure cannot be done properly how I can trust them with something more complex. read more

I'm so conflicted writing this review. I've been coming here for years, but I stopped getting my nails done to save money especially as this place jacked up their prices so much. I know everyone is hurting during this economy, but these prices are out of hand. I was treated to a manicure and pedicure for Christmas... to the tune of $130, gasp. Besides the prices, my main complaint is their booking system. When I made the appointment online, not only did they recently change the name of their pedicure packages, but for any service there is NO DESCRIPTION and NO PRICING. Then to top it off, no one confirms with you what service you want. So when you go to pay you're completely shocked that the pedicure you unknowingly selected was like $60. I feel like this shop swindled me. They are capitalizing off of their purposeful lack of crucial information that should be provided to paying customers. Because I was unaware of what that package included, I honestly don't even know if I received everything I paid for. I had a friend go and she said the exact same thing, but she was able to question all the services she did not received in the pedicure she "selected" (once again through booking online without knowing what each service entails and the pricing). I just feel like this is unethical (possibly malpractice?) and is unfair to paying customers. Please consider putting all the details of every service, especially pedicure packages, and their pricing so customers can make confidently know what they're making an appointment for. My mom and I went there to get our nails done. She got gel that looked amazing, and I got classic French acrylic. Amber took care of me, and I am so happy with my nails. I have to say, it's the best set I've ever gotten. The top of the nail is so smooth, everything is even, and not even any acrylic left over underneath the nail, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. It seems that almost everywhere I'd gone over the last 15 years, my cuticles get time up, and they're very rough. Amber was gentle, no tears, burns or cuts. My real nails do not hurt, and she knew exactly what I wanted. They treated us so so well, and kindly even during this whole Covid situation. The salon was immaculately clean, friendly comfortable. I just got a gel manicure today and the lady who removed my gel polish used the nail drill to remove the polish instead of soaking it off. I've been here a few times before and this is the first time I've experienced this. My nails were really long and strong and now they are paper thin and already breaking. I commented on how thin my nails were throughout the service, but the damage was already done. I mentioned this to the woman at the counter, almost in tears, and they removed the charge for the polish removal. See my p Recently made an appt to come here with some friends for my bday. Since there were 4 of us, I made it about 2 weeks in advance to make sure we would all be taken care of. Even with that precaution, they ended up not having the chairs open to accommodate us all at once (3 at one end with a fourth reserved one at the other end were the only free ones). So my friends all started their pedicures and I hung around for about 20 minutes. Within about five minutes of starting, my friends were all getting up for their manicure. Would have been nice to have it all done together, especially since it was for my birthday. They were very good about working around a tattoo I had been surprised with, though, which was nice. I mentioned when I made the appt that I wanted false nails (just moved and all mine are broken right now), so when I showed them what I wanted, they were all surprised and had to find someone to do them. The lady that did them was nice, but was rushing (which she even admitted to) since by the time i started getting the nails applied my friends were almost finished. I showed her the design I wanted, which was one I found on their yelp pics, and she said she'd do it. By the time I realized that she wasn't doing the same design, i just let it go because everyone else had been sitting around for over 30 mins. I do like how my nails turned out, but several of them were filed and had rough parts I had to file off, or were very bumpy. Probably because she was rushing. Finally, one of my friends (who has had gel manicures before) got very badly burned. The lady put on very thick gel layers of polish, which will cure much hotter than the thin layer you're supposed to do (100* vs 150*). Since it was only after they went in the lamp, and not before, we don't think it's an allergy, plus she said it felt like a burn during the cure and not a rash. When asked, the lady who did her nails even said that it's just a job and she doesn't really care about doing it. That's not someone I want to be doing my nails. It looked good, but my friend literally held onto ice packs all day trying to make the burning go away. When we explained what happened, they seemed concerned, but refused to acknowledge that it could have been the techs fault, just said it was an allergy. All in all, while these ladies are talented and nice for the most part, I probably wouldn't go back. Felt rushed and uncomfortable. read more

I requested gel nails with tips. I asked how much & the receptionist said $55. When I went to pay the same receptionist, she said my bill was $72!!! I about fell over! The owner had already left, so I went back the next day to talk with her, thinking something must be wrong. I was charged for the shape of my nails: "rounded" $7. By the time we were done talking, the owner lets me know $72 is the cost of a new set (no old set--I walked in with bare nails & no message) and rounded. She gave me $7 back because I was mis-quoted. That's now a cost to me of $65. I went across the street to Elegant Nail Salon & asked for a price sheet & explained what I had done. Their cost for the SAME service is $53 and NO CHARGE for a rounded shape of my nails. They get 1 star because the technician was great. Don't go--it's a total rip off!!! read more

I called in the morning for a same day appointment because my usual salon couldn't fit me in. Luckily they could take me for 3 pm today with Joann. I was quoted $40 over the phone for a fill. Come in for my apt. She quotes me $45 because its gel. Ok that's fine. I was already disappointed in how poorly shaped my "square" nails were rounded and mismatched corners and going different directions. I mentioned to my nail tech. She "fixed it" I don't have time to keep correcting the technician, was ready to just head home. I get to the counter & they charge $71 for my fill. Because I have chrome which is a $1 jar of powder at the beauty supply store. This is so disappointing because this business used to be reasonably priced.
