I'll remove this review if the transmission shop confirms it's the ecu as well that needs to be replaced. (Response to owner) There's no issue I was waiting to confirm if the diagnoses given to me was correct to right my review. Forgive me for not remembering it was 125 exactly but , $125 for what auto zone does for free was my issue . I was expecting a real diagnosis by a mechanic to pin point the issue with accuracy and given a game plan not a simple computer diagnostic test that was for a code I already knew it had.

AC stopped working on Hyundai Genesis-- 3 months after a new compressor was installed at another shop. We took our sons car to the shop that installed his new AC compressor off Indian Trail. That mechanic ran some tests and said we needed someone who new electric and wiring shorts because he smelled something burning and the AC problem was intermittent but it was not the new compressor. A friend recommended a shop on S. Edgefield. We took the car to that shop. After changing many parts-fuses, relays, resistors, control modules, blower motor and running tests etc.--stumped-- still no AC. (spent almost $600 parts and labor)Then we took the car to "Auto Experts" on Emerald street in Dallas. What a Terrible nightmare. They kept the car more than 9 days before they started to work on it. Charged approx. $ 200 to diagnose and wanted to charge an additional $500 to change a blower motor that was previously changed the 9 days before and under a lifetime warranty. I brought the "Experts" a brand new AC blower motor, they said it burned up. They said I had a bad "brand" blower motor. I asked what brand they would use and what warranty we would get. Office manager said 1 year warranty on parts and labor. Vs. Lifetime warranty on the part I bought. Male office manager would not tell me the brand they wanted to use. The office manager said, we have "vendors" we use. I refused to pay $500 for" their brand "blower motor because he couldn't guarantee this would be the fix. Thus, the office manager suggested we pick up the car because they could NOT diagnose any further. I paid the Experts on Emerald Street off IH35 in Dallas $400 picked up the car and took it to Chachos Auto repair. Then, the shop on s. Edgefield professionally exchanged the blower motor and I took it back over to Chachos Auto Repair. Chachos changed the Blower Motor and the AC started to work. They continued to test the AC. When we picked it up, Mr. Chacho said, let your son drive it, if you have any problems, bring it back. Chachos Auto Repair had the car less than 2 days. Mr.Chacho is better at managing his clients repair needs and the urgency of AC in the summer. He knows how to put clients in line without disrupting their lives for weeks without transportation. Bottom line, Mr. Chacho cares about his customers and their personal situations. He and his team have the mechanical knowledge, tools and expertise to repair all brands of cars. He is honest and takes your call. Mr. Chacho is Professional, he communicates and sets expectations according to how busy his shop is and your transportation urgency. The Office Manager at the last shop on Emerald street, didn't seem to know how to manage expectations nor communicate. Mr. Chacho saved me $350, fixed the car quickly and he was NICE. I live 11 miles from this shop. This is now my mechanic. I will recommend him to All my friends. We will be back as a family of 5 different cars.
