I don't recommend them, dishonest, greedy, and will not stand by their work, i used to bring all my cars and refer many people that way, sadly this last time they sold them selfs cheap! took my car for an alignment, always trusted them, when drove the car for few days noticed the steering wheel off slightly to the right, so I was there for another vehicle, i asked the lady about the steerimg and she said you can bring it snd will sort that with no issue, I went in today, and she wanted to charge me 60$ to fix their screw up! I was so disappointe, I valued this place but sadly they're all about money and no integrity! read more

My new go-to! I've lived in Oak Cliff my whole life and have passed by this shop thousands of times but I first used them about a week ago. I bought a used car and needed an inspection before I could transfer the title. They got me in and out quick and also did an alignment for super cheap! Knowledge of what they say they have extensive knowledge of. If you say you have knowledge on installing suspension and then have to read an instruction manual before even taking off the tires then maybe you should not have this type of business. It started with just an alignment. Then went to excuses of why they couldn't do the alignment. Bushings were blown out and needed to be replaced. They wrote me a quote to replace 3 parts (over $1000 in parts and labor) I decided if they were going to replace just those parts then I should just order all parts. Then I showed up for them to just have excuses of why they couldn't do the job. They stated that they couldn't put the springs I bought on the car because it would camber my wheels out when the car is dropped. The problem was that the car was already dropped and the camber was already fine. Then they called me for the wheel lock key. That tells me that they didn't even take the time to look at the car. Instead they told me that they were just looking at the instructions. When I started to explain that I just wanted the complete promised job done, they just said come and pick up your car in 15 minutes. Once I got my car, I looked at the instructions. It stated for certain cars that it needed a camber plate. That was not the case with my car though. I also dropped off the car at 9:30am after calling to verify that they could do the work that day. They didn't start to even look at my car till 3:00pm and was going to charge me for a whole day of labor. As well as me having to pay for Uber prime time because of the time of day. Even when the Uber guy came to drop me off at the shop, he stated that he has had problems there and he has heard a lot of friends that have had issues also. I will never be returning to this shop and I don't think anyone else should either. read more

Called around and couldn't find a shop to inspect my car same day near my home. Neighbor recommended this shop. Called when they opened on Saturday, had one in front of me and was done within 45 minutes. Professional, courteous just gave me the straight facts. In a perfect spot, next door to Norma's restaurant, a block away from a coffee shop, or while waiting just take a walk through the beautiful houses on Winnetka while you wait. Will definitely think of them when I need an oil change or some minor work done on my car. read more

If I could rate a zero stars I would for the customer service alone. I came to have my alignment done and was charged $20 for a "check up" to tell me that my ball joints were bad. Not once did they mention I would be charged $20 if they were unable to do my alignment. read more

Had my alternator replaced here. A few months later, the battery light comes on again, several times. So I take it back to Torres because they told me that their work was under warranty. Four hours later, they call to say that they ran a diagnostic and nothing was wrong with my car. When I returned to pick up my car, I was then told that I had to pay $25 to get my key back because they ran a diagnostic. But when I dropped the car off, no fee was ever mentioned, and no fee schedule was posted inside, either. I paid but made clear that I was never told that there would be any charge. In response, I was told "no work is free"--but they should have said before taking my car keys. As a repeat customer who somehow keeps having battery issues since first coming here, I feel ripped off. read more

Expensive place. When I checked in in the morning, I was told that I would receive a call back within 5-10 min to give me an estimate. I had to call back after 25 min to check and it sounded as if they had forgotten. So I was told I would get a call back again, which I did. Was out in MA doing a tile job for a friend. At some point a break line broke on my truck. (FYI: it was Sunday) After calling different mobile mechanics for over an 1and 1/2 hours. I called Torres auto services. Instead of immediately getting an answering service. They actually answered the phone. After explaining my situation. I also had to be back in CT for work on Monday. Torres as promised showed up within and hour. Upon arrival immediately started working on my truck. I was on the road within an hour. Professional, friendly and no bullshit!! These local folks are fabulous! I visited for a state inspection and was in and out in 20 minutes. They are extremely nice, very welcoming, and helpful. This shop doesn't do engine work, but they can help with brakes, oil changes, alignments, and state inspections. I recommend for your basic car maintenance! read more

I thought this place was a good place, but when I took my vehicle there they fix the issue but they cause another problem and try to charge me 5x time for a part that would 17 to 20 dollar. They should have alerted me if they broke something instead of not telling me the customer. I had my vehicle days before at Certerfied mechanic and there was no issue. So if anyone wants to get their vehicle repaired here please be knowledgeable about their vehicle. read more

Came in on a Monday afternoon to have a cracked tail light removed and replaced (brought in my own part), and an inspection. Very nice employees, and I was done in less than 30 minutes!!! The charge for putting in my tail light was very reasonable. Highly recommend and will return in the future. read more

They were very busy, but because I was leaving out of town that day they were sure to fit me in. They were very reasonable and fair.
