My last visit was more awkward with me being greeted and asked to not sign in, but to maybe come back later. The option to wait wasn't offered and the suggested return time was a guess, not a confirmation of a time. After leaving I remembered that I'd seen this happened to others while I was in the chair getting my nails done. It has discouraged me from recommending this salon because I wouldn't want people to have the same experience. I'm updating my review while sitting at another salon. Will likely not return to Jeannie's.

It's close to work, it's totally affordable, its clean, and the staff is friendly! There were two technicians working, one lady was older than the other and I'm pretty sure she was the owner. My mom got her, and I got the other lady (sorry, I don't know her name ). My lady didn't talk much, which I like. I've always hated going to nail salons and making small talk. My technician was very thorough and clean. She paid very close attention to details. Compared to my last nail experience these were impeccable. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo before they started growing out. But I've had them for over a week now, and the only chip I have is from where my already torn nail when I received the service ripped all the way off. I knew this would happen. I got a pedicure, and a gel manicure and it was $55 in total, which I think was pretty reasonable. Especially because of all the amenities that came with the manicure. THE BAD - The bad really isn't even that bad, but I'm sort of a germaphobe. One part of the manicure I didn't like was the paraffin wax dip. It was cool because I have never had one at a nail place before, but it's also very unsanitary. It know I could have opt'd out (and I should have for time reasons) but I didn't think about it until after my first dip lol. OVERALL - I think I have found my new nail place, but I won't be doing the paraffin wax.

However, I'm currently a caregiver for my mom and wanted to treat myself. I walked in back in September and Rose was so kind and patient with me. I wanted to get something nice done before I flew to Ireland. The staff worked with me to create these custom design nails of a claddaugh and Celtic design. The nails lasted me a month! I got so many compliments. So I went back yesterday to get some Halloween nails. Jennifer helped with the nail art and was meticulous in trying to get the design on the witch hat. Both times I went there are plenty of regulars, which I always think is a good sign. I will definitely go back. There is plenty of free parking in front of the building. Oh don't forget to bring cash to tip your nail tech!

1. Unfortunately this was the worst dip powder service I have ever had. My nail broke the day after…read moregetting them done, 3 more broke soon after (prior to this experience I had never had a nail break). My nails were overly damaged during the service and are paper thin now. 2. To remove previous dip/polish they have your entire hands soak in a bowl of chemicals. The smell is so strong I instantly got lightheaded and had to ask for a mask. 3. Due to the harsh full hand chemical soak my knuckles began to bleed. Normally salons will wrap just the fingernail in polish remover. 4. They only let you tip in cash, I asked to tip by card but was refused. Tips aren't taxed so why make it harder on clients to tip?
