This is a follow-up review. I had my brand new 2010 Subaru Forester tinted here on October 4th 2009. I was charged $289 for the work. 14 years later the windows on the vehicle are exactly same way as when I drove off after the tinting was complete. Over that. Of time we lost one window to vandalism. The driver side rear passenger window was broken out in an attempt to rob the vehicle. Even at that point the tinting did a fantastic job of holding a significant amount of the glass fragments together which made clean up much easier than it could have been. The work is completely flawless the material incredibly awesome! There is zero fading zero chipping zero lifting zero turning purple. The material and workmanship are completely five star professionally done outstanding work. 14 years later, the $289 suddenly does not seem like such a great expense at all. good investment. read more

Came to Presto window tint to get the front two windows on my Tacoma tinted with ceramic film. He was able to remove my old window tint and install the new one for a good price and did an amazing job. The ceramic film feels great and I could feel a big difference from my old tint when it comes to heat, just in time for summer. I saw how the film was cut, he uses a machine to cut it to the exact shape of the window instead of cutting against the glass like they did back in the day. Searched a bunch of shops before selecting Presto/HB Tint for my new car, checking their websites thoroughly to learn about their processes and films used. I chose this shop for two reasons: the transparency and description of the products and the response received to my email inquiry. The owner replied to me quickly and answered all of my questions. Had my appointment this morning, Chris was super cool. We went over my options while he asked a bunch of questions to help me decide on which product I wanted. I decided on the S-5 film as I sit in traffic on my commute and am looking for more heat reflecting. I just had the tinit installed today and couldn't be happier. The process was smooth, I was provided with care instructions and he took good care of my brand new ride. The margin or gap line on the windows is insane, there is none! The film goes perfectly up to the top of the window. Totally wasn't expecting that as I've never had a tint job that didnt have at least an 1/8th inch gap. Pretty damn impressed with that! I have referred many people to Chris @ Presto for quite some time, and now you are the next in line! Chris has a small shop on Beach Blvd. in HB. His shop does not reflect the quality of craftsmanship he does. He tinted my VW in about 3 hours and his prices were very reasonable. His cut quality is ultra precise - most people and I cannot even tell the car has been tinted. The cut line blends with the edge of the window with almost zero proof there is a film even on it. The tint has held up well and I keep in contact with Chris when I can. He has offered to help me with other things besides just tint and is a very very friendly guy. When I had a problem with the rear tint delaminating around the ceramic dots found on most European cars, Chris said "bring it in!" He was kind enough to reissue me a receipt due to me losing mine, so that the work would be covered under warranty. Needless to say, anything tint I will be going to Chris @ Presto Tint. read more

I was referred to Presto (Chris) by my clear bra guy who assured me that he was probably one of the best tint specialists out there! I had been wanting to bring my car in to have the windows tinted for more than two years now....time flies! I couldn't take the hot sun heating the inside of my car anymore and so finally got around to making an appointment to bring my car in. However, when I told Chris what car I had he wanted to make darn sure that it left his shop perfectly done the first time. From then on I could tell that Chris was a guy who really took serious pride in his work. As such, we had to wait for a day when the sun was out so that the film could dry properly. We found ourselves having to re-schedule three times over the next few weeks as the weather did not turn out as forecast...we all know how unreliable weather forecasts are......and this was fine with me......I truly appreciated how Chris wanted to make sure I got the best service and tint job on such a high end car, and if it meant re-scheduling till we got a sunny day, then so be it. We finally found a good day and I drove all the way there looking forward to finally getting the tint done. Presto has a little studio style workshop/office of which he's a one man show. I walked in and Chris was sitting behind the counter....he's a very friendly and informative guy and explained my tint film options....showed me a model he built that demonstrated how the film prevents a substantially noticeable amount of heat penetration..... we then finally decided on the perfect tint......a new high end high quality Ceramic film ......got the paperwork done, and off he went to get started on my car. Ok, the work was going to take 4-5 hours because Chris wanted to let the car sit in the sun to dry as much as possible....so what was I going to do for 4-5 hours? Fortunately, Chris has a very comfortable leather chair with a small wall hung TV monitor...with Netflix!!! Yay! I told him that I would likely go have lunch with a friend later, but in the meantime I'd just hang around and watch TV.....managed to get about 2 to 3 straight hours of watching "Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce" on Netflix!.....Now that really helped pass the time! Fast forward....Chris was done and called me out back to take a look at the finished work. Wow! It looked amazing....and he explained to me how there may be small bubbles that would dry up in time, how I'd initially see some strange distortions at the defroster grids (which actually reduced nicely as it dried), perhaps the tiniest of dust that's unavoidable, and how to maintain the tinted windows for the first 3-5 days.....like no washing the car for about 5 days, no using ammonia based window cleaners, no winding down the window for at least a day or two, etc. And what's best is that Chris assured me that if there was any problem to just bring it back in and he'd take care of it. So far so good....no problems....and I'm really happy! Excellent job!.....and at a surprisingly fair price! read more

From start to finish this was a smooth and easy process. Chris got back to my initial inquiry quickly via phone and was responsive via email as well. He did an excellent job putting the light tint I wanted on the front windows of my Wrangler. I had my car tinted here 8 years ago and the rear windshield finally started to bubble (really good for 8 years!). Called up presto and I spoke to Chris the owner, he told me to come down and see what he was working with. I was fully expecting to pay to have my old tint taken off and new one put on even though I had a lifetime warranty. Chris was more than happy to fight for the warranty for me even though I forgot to mail it in 8 years ago! He did the work for me and I ended up paying nothing and he did a wonderful job. For my mother's birthday, I wanted to get the passenger and driver side windows of her 2013 Toyota Venza tinted to match the rest of her car. The other windows had a medium dark tint. When we called Presto, Chris explained that he needed to do some research regarding that particular vehicle year and make because he remembered that their was an issue with a new type of window coating that Toyota was using on it's vehicles, and it was effecting the tint. After about an hour, he called us back and explained that her year and model were good to go, and to bring the car in. He was able to take the car the same day (which he said was rare) so we brought it in and dropped it off. Chris was very nice, and polite and explained the process to us and told us funny cat stories while we filled out the paper work. Before we left, he told us he would give us a half hour warning before the car was finished so we could cruise over to pick it up. Upon picking the car up, he had it parked in the back ready for show. The tint looked awesome, and it was exactly what we wanted. My mom was very happy. When we were looking at the car, Chris said we should pay close attention to the front driver side bumper... when we looked, Chris had taken care of a huge scrape on the car my mom acquired when she was parking the car into a garage... Chris had made it disappear! We we were totally surprised and super stoked that he did that without us even asking him!
