Then they said they would "basically" throw in the back up cam for "like- free" ($20) So.. how did that tally up to $1000 plus tax? They're doing scammer math here. And after all of that. The back up cam is like an 8bit game from back in the day. It's outrageously pixelated and I told them it's embarrassing that they are even offering such a product. I showed up this morning and met with Arian, a true professional at his trade as well as a kind, honest and knowledgeable individual. The shop is meticulously maintained and has a vast array of tools, work bench areas, awesome LED ceiling lighting, a waiting area, front office and conference/training room. This shop and team of professionals are a class act. Arian explained the installation process and timeline and I was quite impressed. The Rolls Royce in the shop that was getting customized with lighting and sound was a testament to the quality of work that Arian, Sam and the other team members provide when you bring your car into the shop. Arian called me when the car was completed and when I arrived gave me a very thorough orientation on the features, modes and operational functionality of the new unit. Very impressive and truly a plus when you have such a professional take the time to show you the details and functions of the new unit. Sam was in the shop as well as was amazing. As of March 2026, the owner (Hank) still refuses to refund my $1,800 balance and has tried to delay and postpone to complete the work on my vehicle for 5 months. According to the California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), this business is operating on a CANCELLED license (see attached screenshot from DCA archives showing it was cancelled in 2009). Additionally, they are performing tire and rim installations without the required Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) registration. A formal state investigation is currently active with the Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS Case #252602346). BAR (The Bureau of Automotive Repair) complaint confirmation reference number 65CF-MQX7MX for performing Wheel/Rim without license. Please verify any business license at search.dca.ca.gov before handing over your money. Do NOT make same mistake like mine and DO NOT believe in the owner's sweet talk but DO your thorough research and shopping ahead. ***UPDATE: In his response, the owner blames my Tesla's "16V lithium battery" for his failure. This is a massive red flag for any EV owner. The 16V system has been the standard in Teslas since 2022. By blaming the battery now, he is admitting he lacked the basic technical knowledge to work on my car, despite luring me into a $2,800 "parts deposit" by claiming he had done many of these before. A true professional would know that specialized EV audio components (like Alpine's Tesla-specific kits) are designed for this exact voltage. He took the money for a job he wasn't qualified to perform, stalled for weeks, and still hasn't provided a refund. Stay away if you own a modern EV. ***Now since I have filed complaint with California Bureau of Household Goods and Services and Bureau of Automotive Repair, the owner Hank response with "wait and see" attitude rather than issuing me the refund!

Bought a new truck and had the system installed. The wiring for the subs was shady and could've burned my amps. I messed up by leaving my truck. Instead of the correct fuses they used circuit breakers that heated up and offered no protection for my amps. Even now my 300/4 is suspect. Also, my W7 was always in the house, but when I picked my truck up, the surround had mysteriously disintegrated. Had to drop $2k+ for anew one and to have it put in the box! Had my truck rewired at a reputable shop only to find out Universal had cut into my truck body where the factory amp was *dead face* Had the amp moved and every power and ground wiring redone. System can breathe now and actually bump. I trusted Jordan and his peeps and it was my mistake to leave my truck. I'd never do that again. NVR. I won't be going back there because I don't know who worked on and cut into my truck. It's sad because I was trying to help a small shop.
