I heard good things about this place and I was in the area so I decided to stop in for a latte. Nice looking shop and the aromas were wonderful. I am a coffee nut, I roast my own coffee and grind and brew It On Demand. I was served my latte and a paper cup so I picked it up and walked to a table. As I stepped in my latte starting to taste the paper cup I look around the room and everybody is drinking out of the ceramic mug. Very cozy coffee shop. You can definitely come here to get some work done. Just be careful because the Wi-Fi settings are very restricted and won't allow the use of VPN. Also at least with AT&T the cellular service is horrible in the area. So hot spotting doesn't work well. The coffee is great. They know how to pull nice espresso shots. At some point they had donuts and then stopped selling them. Honestly those donuts was the reason I kept going back maybe 1 or 2 times a week. This review is for Pretty Burger, which shares the same building/space as Pretty Coffee. I'm unsure if they have the same owner. I'm going to assume they do. Anyway, the two stars were for the pleasant and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the meal could have been much better. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries and a "chocolate" milkshake. The burger itself was decent but the fries were under-seasoned and very average. I used quotation marks for chocolate because the shake I was served was more vanilla with some chocolate syrup lightly mixed in. Very underwhelming. read more

This is the best coffee shop around. I go to TCNJ and I come here all the time to study. There is free wifi, a variety of seating, and there are a few outlets if you need one. My go to order is a iced lavender latte with oat milk and a bird breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage. It is so good and is so worth the drive. read more

I got a caramel macchiato today and it was good. When I walked in the only employee that I could see was on the phone behind the counter and the owner was deep in conversation (mask falling down under his nose) with another customer. No one acknowledged me with even a wave. I was asked what I wanted and paid. No thank you or anything else was said to me. When my drink was done, the employee put it on the counter and said "Caramel Machiatto". That was it. No one said "Thank you." or "Thanks for coming in.", or acknowledged me in any way. The last time I was here a male employee, asked a young guy who came in without wearing a mask if he had one. The guy said no. Then the employee proceeded to be all friendly with him saying he looked familiar. The guy said he used to work there. He was the only one in the entire store without a mask on. He was around 22, based on their conversation, so probably not vaccinated either. I don't understand why he was allowed to follow different rules than everyone else. He should have been asked to leave. This was my third time at Pretty Bird. Based mostly on their total lack of friendliness or even a simple thank you or acknowledgement of me as a customer, the third time was not a charm. I won't be back. read more

Went here because I saw pictures on yelp that made it look super enticing (the neon signage in particular with the greenery). When I got here I thought I was in the wrong place and immediately re-checked yelp to make sure. I drove a pretty far way to come here. The building on the outside makes it seem as if it's split but it's really the inside it's half coffee shop half sushi? Their menu was small and didn't have many of the drinks that I saw on the yelp page. The place is very small and their was no neon sign nor greenery. The space was very sleek but not the 'instagrammable' spot I was hoping for. I really love going to pretty coffee shops so this was a miss for me. I ordered a thin mint latte - which was one of only a select few speciality flavor. I ordered a medium which was over $5 , gave a tip so I paid over $6 for a cup of coffee that barely tasted like mint. The latte art was pretty. The whole experience was just kind of underwhelming . Even the pastries that were available were pretty sad lackluster options. The staff was nice, but I definitely don't need to go back, and if you are also looking at stopping by because of pictures you see on here, you have been forewarned that they are not an accurate representation. read more

Love to support the "mom & pop" places like this, but as a first time patron and new to the area, I was disappointed. I sat at bar thinking with a few girls working and no line, I would be offered a menu or pointed in the right direction since I did not see any signs for order line. No greeting b/c the girls were too busy on their cells. The sandwich I ordered was ok, biscuit was burnt a bit. The coffee/latte/tea options are quite spectacular, kudos. I do love the tables and bar, very neat style and not cheap. The girls working definitely knew the locals and were very friendly with them, but not a warm feeling for an outsider (but I do get it as this cafe is off the beaten path and locals are their main support base). Coffee was very strong. I want to support and try giving them a second chance, fingers crossed. Maybe owner(s) will see this as a chance to improve their service and overall friendliness to everyone. read more

The cafe is really nice! I've been here before for their sushi, but the cafe half was just as pleasant. As always, the staff is super chill and friendly and the food is delicious. Absolutely my new favorite coffee shop. Stopped in earlier today for the first time and tried their "Slainte" coffee, a bird breakfast sandwich with sausage, and a vanilla donut with blueberry frosting. WOW WOW WOW. The coffee was as delicious as it was described to be, perfectly smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. The sandwich was quite possibly the best I've ever had. A juicy piece of sausage with melted cheddar and a fried egg, hugged between two unbelievably tasty biscuits that just melt in your mouth. I was not expecting it to be as incredible as it was, which made my experience that much better. The donut was perfection (as expected). Deliciously cakey with a sweet blueberry frosting. We picked up a bag of their ground coffee to try at home and I am so excited about it. 10/10 will return again and again! read more

I do not eat burgers very often, but was looking forward to Pretty Bird's latest dinner offering. I ordered a double with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, sautéed onion and mushrooms. This burger did not disappoint. It was honestly one of the best burgers I can recall as it wasn't overly greasy, was freshly prepared and was complimented by a soft, brioche bun. It reminded me of the burger from The Menu. The skin on fries were also very good and was enough to serve three of us. My next burger craving will have me coming back. read more

Our favorite coffee shop in Bucks County! The entire place smells of their amazing donuts and they have a seasonally rotating menu of lattes -- think "falling leaves" (clove and cinnamon) and "Ferraro Rocher" lattes. The speciality drinks tend to be on the sweet side, but every time I've asked for light sugar they've come out perfectly. We love their coffee so much that we also started buying their house beans! They get busy on weekend mornings, so expect to wait ~5 minutes to get your coffee. Everyone inside waiting has masks and they have plexiglass separating the staff from customers. This place is certainly pretty once you step inside. It is designed to make you feel like you stepped into a chick cafe in Italy, as you see freshly ground coffee beans being crunched and a shiny glass case separates you from fancy donuts. I have come here to just grab a coffee and donut and to meet up with a friend, and both cases the environment does not disappoint. It's casual, yet swanky set up is one that makes PBC very flexible. I will say they make a delicious cup of coffee, sadly at $6+ it is a bit over the top and come in miniature cups. The Starbucks across the street is a bit better on price, and that says a lot. The donuts are also mixed reviews. They do various fun flavors like lemonade, salted caramel, etc. For me, these are always a hit or miss, I got half a dozen and really only liked two. I also wished they made them fresh like at federal donuts in Philly - but I know that's asking for too much. All in all, between the price and donuts, I can't give this place a full 5 stars, but their coffee and atmosphere is really great. Tonight was their "coffee after dark" special. Every second weekend of the month, they along with other restaurants, do something out of the ordinary for the community. They want to lure more people back in the area to generate more revenue for their town. The first time they tried "coffee cocktails and desserts," it was a disaster through no fault of theirs. We had a blizzard so they had very few people. This is their second time and we'll, they still need to work out some issues. Our seats were on the side of the counter by the coffee beans' grinder. A lovely young lady took out order and shortly thereafter have us our choices beverages. I chose Nastrino Latte. It is a latte where I choose hazelnut, espresso, blue ribbon laced into their foam art Hubby preferred his dessert Affagato. That consists of a scoop of vanilla ice cream with Costa Rica and Ethiopian espresso. They took the espresso and poured it over the ice cream. Finally The Kid ordered El Diablo. It gives you Satan's blood, double Dutch cocoa, espresso of course, cinnamon, heavy cream and whole milk. If you're lactose intolerant, I don't recommend this drink. The Kid Knew it was going to have hot sauce in their beverage. While most did not care for this drink , the kid loved it. I ordered the Nastrino Latte. Mine contains Hazelnut, espresso and their foam looked exactly was mine. The beverage also had a got pepper to help stir your coffee. Everything was fine but we waited over 15 minutes to be acknowledged for the check. We flagged sudden our waitress who promised another waitress will give us out tab. We waited and that still didn't happen so we went up to the counter again. After she have us the check, we waited another five minutes wondering if she forgot about us. That's there only fault I would say they have. Because it's their "open for after dark hands crafted coffee cocktails", they have to continue working out the links. I would also recommend for the waitresses to make mention of the coffee ingredients, expressly the Satan's blood. Their coffee and ambiance is good so yes, I would like to try them again. read more

I had a soy lattee and a build your breakfast sandwhich with rye bread, egg and avocado. It was great, quick and inexpensive. I got a large soy lattee and it was so good. It was massive also. Standard prices for a lattee but it was so big so worth it. Adorable atmosphere, free WiFi and plenty of seating for working on your laptop. The barista was extremely friendly. Loved it! read more

I pass Pretty Bird on a daily basis and I've been wanting to stop in. Even though I'm a big fan of Starbucks across the street, I'm always keen to sample new coffee shops. Anyway, the wife and I decided to do a light lunch here the other day. Walked in, the place looks pretty cool, very pleasant atmosphere. The music was nice. The staff was really friendly and helpful in explaining the options. We ordered 2 coffees and 2 custom breakfast sandwiches. Our stuff came out in just a few minutes. High hopes? Utterly shattered. The food? Not good. The coffee? Not good. Doesn't really matter how nice the other aspects of the shop are, what am I doing here paying over $20 for coffee and sandwiches if it's crap? I got an Americano and a double egg on rye with tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach and bacon. First things first; this terrible $7+ sandwich. The best way to describe the sandwich is: seemingly precooked and flavorless eggs with soft, underdone bacon, topped with big, wet unseasoned vegetables on very thick, soggy bread. It was f'ing horrendous. I took one bite of this stupid soggy mess and the bread fell apart everything inside fell out. Actually, it was probably for the best since, after a some chewing, I realized I didn't want to be eating this revolting concoction anyway. The coffee was acceptable at best, but $4 for 'acceptable at best'? Wawa is better for less than half the price. Starbucks is worlds better for slightly less. I have to say, I really expected better things from a place that is roasting their own beans and calling it "great" online. It wasn't remotely great. All in all, I absolutely do not get the glowing reviews for this place. It was a major disappointment to say the least. read more

Great local place, their breakfast food is great, especially love the avocado toast (the sourdough is amazing!). Their donuts are more like a cake, absolutely amazing! Great coffee as well, I usually get the cold brew. They have adapted to COVID really well. Really friendly staff. We stopped by one day when their cook was out unexpectedly and we were planning to get breakfast. They now recognize us as regulars and we feel like we're having coffee with friends. Super disappointed. We drove out and ordered at 1:03 after waiting in line for 5 minutes. As I ordered my very-anticipated sandwich, we were (rudely) told "the kitchen closed at 1" - we remarked how that was just mere minutes ago and we were the last ones in line and she just (rudely again) repeated "the kitchen closed at 1" The three people working there seemed stressed to deliver just drinks to the 8 or so people waiting around for their orders. Third wave espresso has arrived in Yardley! Owned by the brothers who created the Vault, this place is a total gem, worth traveling to or even better walking to if you're a local. First things first: the espresso is top notch. They roast it themselves in a roasting operation down the street. A+ quality balanced roast with top notch single origin beans. Their espresso machine is high grade and their milk is locally sourced. They pull a mean espresso! Wow! If you like La Colombe or Stumptown, prepare to be impressed, because this is the real deal right here in Yardley. Plus they have piccolos listed on the menu itself (even out west that would be a rare sight). Second, they have amazing juices that they make themselves on the spot. They call them "shots" and they are delicious and super healthy. One is beet & apple, another is apple-ginger-lemon. They are served in classy Gibraltar glasses. And they only cost $2.50. Third, they have awesome looking (didn't try) artisan donuts. And a minimal but smart selection of food -- salads and paninis with locally sourced ingredients and vegetarian options (quinoa etc). The atmosphere is warm, clean, and perfect for meeting people or just cranking out some work. On the porch is a bar where you can stand, drink espresso, and people watch.
