I would highly recommend asking detailed questions about pricing and the technician's experience level before starting your appointment. I have natural nails and requested a dark pink clear polish with my nails shortened. There was no design, artwork, or specialty color involved. During the appointment, the technician asked if I wanted my cuticles cut, and after already beginning the service, informed me that this would now be considered a manicure with additional cost. What surprised me the most was the final result and price. My nails were cut drastically shorter than I expected, and the total came to $90 for acrylic-related services with a very simple clear polish look. Unfortunately, the outcome did not match the cost in my opinion. This is actually the second disappointing experience I've had at this salon, which is why I felt it was important to leave a review for future customers. The salon itself may work well for others, but I personally left feeling unhappy with the communication, pricing transparency, and final result. I can say the establishment is very clean, cute decor. They offer a drink with the services which is a nice touch.

Original review: 8/29/2013 I have been going to Christina and Julie since at least 7 years. They are the most professional at their jobs, but still fun. They make getting a manicure, pedicure, gels, waxing, etc., the most fabulous experience. They both have great personalities and are totally dedicated to the experience of the customer. I have never failed to be impressed. Anyone at the salon is excellent also and will provide the same caring treatment for you. Did I mention their prices are extremely fair and reasonable, particularly when you consider the fabulous job they do! Easy access from the 51 (great location!). Everything is brand new. They are so devoted ~~ I know they will be a huge success! Treat yourself. You deserve it. You won't be disappointed. read more

When it comes to nails, I can be pretty picky on where I go and very particular on what I want. This is why I always go to Pretty Little Nails!! Julie, Christina and Co never disappoint and do such an amazing job!! The pedicures are amazing, my gels never lift and it never fails that I always receive endless compliments on my nails. I do recommend making an appointment when going or if you're going to walk-in, try to do it early in the morning or during the week when it's not too busy so you're not waiting long to get in a chair. PLN has a very loyal clientele to where you are greeted by name when you walk through the door and that's one of the main reasons I go here. I'm not just another person in a chair to them. I LOVE this place! How much? I followed Julie from where she used to work, to support her & her sister opening Pretty Little Nails - both establishments being 1-2 miles from where I lived and am still going there even though I moved 40 miles away! I get so many compliments on my nails it's incredible. I'm finally writing a review because last night I was out and a girl asked me where I go because she loved my nails. I didn't even have any of my crazy designs going on, just plain color. Julie always takes care of me!! They're great for pedicures and waxing too - I get it all. It's the only thing I do for myself and they take care of me. The establishment is immaculately clean as well - I've always been impressed with that. You guys ROCK!!! read more

I am visiting from Montana and just had the best pedicure with Nancy. The salon was clean and the employees friendly and knowledgeable. I even had a neck massage!! I did have to sit through a rant from an ungrateful know-it-all who apparently knows more about doing nails than the professionals. I was embarrassed for her boyfriend who had to endure the tirade with the rest of us. Christina was professional and kind as she explained the process. I'm new to the area and desperately needed someone to fix a terrible job I had received elsewhere. Went here for the first time based on their previous yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. Christina got me in last minute and continued to help me even past their closing time with no hesitation. This was my first time coming here, and a friend and I made an appointment a day early for convenience. The lady Hong Nguyen did an absolutely wonderful and very detailed job on my full set gel nails. She paid such detail to the small things which I love and explained to me about the benefits of getting gel versus acrylic nails. She also did my waxing and always made sure I was feeling comfortable. I've gone to quite a few places in my time in search for the best gel and thought I had found what comes the closest to that at the last nail salon I used to frequent but I was wrong! I've been twice to the salon for a pedicure; my daughter once. They do a great job. Everything is brand new; they're very accommodating and friendly; and you get a free neck massage while you're waiting for your toes to dry under the ultraviolet light. I ask for Lee. I chose this nail salon because dip nail was 35 instead of 40 dollars like everywhere else. I really liked it here, the girls were really nice and made me feel welcome.
