Whoever the genius was that decided they should be served in a large soda cup needs a raise. They fit perfectly in my car's cup holder- convenient for snacking while driving. The "bites" were pretty large. Like other reviewers have mentioned, they are doughier than what you might normally think of as a pretzel. They are perfection! Light and doughy perfection. There are many choices for dipping- I opted for the traditional cheddar cheese, but there is also nacho cheese if you are feeling crazy! I will definitely go back if I am in the neighborhood again. Pretzel Stop, you are my new best friend! I love soft pretzels and these pretzels are soft, a little chewy and not too much salt. Not only do they offer pretzels, but they offer brats and hot dogs wrapped in pretzel goodness. You can also get pretzel bites if you aren't into twists. They offer a nice variety if dipping sauce such as raspberry honey mustard, buffalo blue cheese, champagne garlic and your standards like cheese, honey mustard and ranch. I have tried the brat and hot dog pretzel both hit the spot, but I don't think I could eat more than one at a time. Dessert is also offered! WHOO! You can get a peanut butter or cream cheese stuffed pretzel with your choice of drizzle sauce. I think the sauces were chocolate, strawberry, icing and something else. The peanut butter one is yummy! I love peanut butter so it was win either way. They offer special order pretzels. You can have them make a pretzel in lots of different shapes for holidays, birthdays, sports events and just about anything as long as it isn't too complicated. Pretzel Stop is a drive through only, but the parking lot is huge so if you don't want to take it home you could chill in the parking lot or take a short drive to the St. Charles riverfront. All the employees are always super nice. The pretzels are hot and fresh and they never over-salt which is nice! The reason for the missing star is my order was incorrect (ordered pepperoni pizza pretzel and no pepperonis were there) and my boyfriends salted pretzel was just tossed in the bag without anything to wrap it in. I've had the peanut butter pretzoli and we always get regular salted and cinnamon sugar pretzels - YUMMY! The hubby gets the pretzel wrapped hot dog and we have them eaten before we arrive at our next destination. We actually left Augusta early this year to get to Pretzel Stop for lunch -- only to find they are not open on Sunday :( what a bummer - we settled for Auntie Annes, which weren't as good and were indeed overpriced! Definitely a good deal. The combos come with a HUGE drink and pretzel chips. Got the brat pretzel and realized after I ordered they had a jalapeño cheddar brat on special. Asked the guy if it was too late to change it and it was no problem! My husband got the pepperoni pizza pretzel which he liked. Comes with a side of marina that went well with the garlic pretzel chips. You'll be feeling that garlic later, so bring some gum. I have to say that I was looking forward to going to Pretzel Stop but like another reviewer noted, I kept getting there late and they close a bit early than the normal fast casual establishment. I now work in the area and was able to try it right after work and I have to say...the experience had its ups and downs. First off, I ordered a pretzel with cheese sauce and the pretzel burger. I tried the burger first and I have to say the patty was cooked and seasoned well. Also, I have to say the veg (lettuce and tomato) were probably the freshest veg I've ever had on a burger in a fast casual environment like this. I actually believe someone cut off the slices of tomato on my burger to order and the touch was very nice. The actual part that kind of caught me off guard was the bun. It was more of a salted roll with a pretzel look. It was fine for the burger but not the pretzel bun I was hoping for. I next turned to the pretzel to offer me the pretzel satisfaction I was craving and once again was disappointed. They look 100% like pretzels but...they're different. Pretzel Stop makes pretzels in a way I've never had before. Soft pretzels I've had have always been more dry, dense and crumbly, their pretzels are way...bread-like. They in every way taste like a dinner roll to me. You can even tell when you pull the pretzel apart that it is way more roll than pretzel just by how it has layers. There is nothing actually wrong with their pretzels. They taste fine, they're cooked well but they aren't what I want in a pretzel. To me, I'd not even consider what they serve to be a pretzel. I feel bad about giving them a three because they obviously care about what they do but for a place named Pretzel Stop to disappoint on their namesake, I felt three was the best I could do for them. read more

Awesome food! No place like it in the Saint Louis area. Pretzel Stop moved locations and ended up by my house. Good for them but bad for me as I like to eat there more than I should. The pretzel burgers, pretzel dogs, pretzel pizza, and just their basic pretzel tastes amazing. I've been to several other "local" pretzel shops around St. Louis and this one is the best. The pretzels with toppings inside or out (dogs and pizzas) are really good and neither have too much topping or too much bread. I don't care for the cheddar sauce but the nacho cheese sauce is good, as is the marinara. Definitely go . They are closed on Mondays so keep that in mind. read more

This review isn't from any specific visit - but rather a combination of several visits. All told, my wife and I are fans. The pretzels have always been fresh and tasty and the service is always quick and friendly. The dips are actually a touch over-sized - for me really enough for two pretzels - which gives me an excuse to order two pretzels. :) I will say I'm not a fan of the cheddar cheese which surprised me, but the nacho cheese and the honey mustard are both very good. With the Page extension finally open all the way it makes it's given us an excuse to visit that area more often and we do try and stop by. read more

Go there every couple of months for lunch at work, almost always order online. Our order today was $69 and some change, when I went in to pick it up the woman behind the counter said, "You substituted a tea for a fountain drink so that will be a 30 cent up charge." Really??? I am accustomed to poor customer service here, same woman seems to always be behind the counter, she could NOT CARE LESS about providing friendly service. I can't believe after placing a lunch order that totalled over $69 that they would still ask for the 30 cents. Today will be the last time they get our business, which is sad because we all enjoy the food but with so many other options to chose from they won't be missed. Not sure how long their business will continue if they don't get some training on being personable and accommodating to their customers. read more

Pretzel Stop has great pretzels. Looking forward to my next visit. I head about it and one day I got to sample some pretzels and some of the cinnamon dessert. They were very good. Later I took my family so that the could try it. We tried several items and different cheeses. Everything we had was great. Even though we were full we order more before we left. When I go again I will try something different and get more pretzels bite with buffalo cheese dip. I enjoyed this place so much I almost purchased the party platter for the end the season barbecue for my basketball team. It was kind of a last minute idea and I didn't have time to do it because I had some prior commitments. If they delivered I would have tried to get it. I'm not sure if they deliver. Absolutely not what I was expecting!! It was so good! I ordered a #3 turkey and cheese sandwich combo and it was a fantastic meal. The sandwich comes with this outstanding pretzel bread that puts all other pretzel bread to shame. Pretzel Stop takes their time making the sandwich and it sure shows. I have been want to stop here for so long but they are always closed when I feel like stopping. (Their store closes pretty early in the evenings). This time in town I made sure I stopped by to try out their highly rated pretzels. Maybe I was expecting more but I wasn't overly impressed. The pretzels we got were overly salty...and the cheese dip was kinda gross. I know they offer unsalted pretzels but I like salt...just not to the extreme I need to wash down each bite to get the taste out of my mouth. The cheese dip was a nacho cheese, not a plain cheese which would have been great on nachos but not what I would pick for a pretzel.
