Contracted these guys for a 1-year service agreement. The agreement clearly states that you must pay an early termination fee equal to the number of remaining services when you terminate. In my case I never expected that I'd have to cancel so I signed it. Well come to find out that they habitually miss their own scheduled appointment times and dates! We like to be home when anyone is in the house performing services, and each time we scheduled service for either inside or out, they were late or called after the scheduled appointment time to tell us they had to reschedule. Several times we'd taken off work to get the inside of the house treated, so missed work and the frustration of continually missed appointments was not working out. I called the company and told them how frustrated we were after 4 consecutively missed appointments and they got a guy out there who actually showed up on time. However that was the only incident of an on-time appointment. After several more missed appointments I called the company again and told them I'm canceling the contract. They reminded me of the early termination fees and I told them I'm not paying it - when they can't keep the appointment times that they themselves schedule that to me is a breach of the agreement. NOPE! They continued to bill me monthly, adding late fees each month, they emailed me invoices and called leaving messages that I was past due. In short, HARASSMENT for services they didn't provide. Forgive me, but when you can't perform the services you contracted for, you have no right to bill me for the services you haven't yet provided. I sent them a certified letter expressing my view on their services and the billing (not much different then presented here) and told them if they didn't stop I'd take them to court for breach of contract and illegal business practice. About a month later they sent my account to a collections agency. Total bill I figure was about $200, not a huge sum, but significant enough. There are a ton of bug companies, stay clear of these guys. read more

Helping us sleep at night- We formerly had a problem with scorpions, and had other pest control companies tell us that they really could not be completely removed. A neighbor recommended Preventive, and we tried them. I am happy to say that I haven't seen a scorpion in a very long time! Our exterminator is Chad, who listens to your pest problems, and then sets out to get rid of them. He is very thorough and professional. I'm happy. read more

Very impressed! Our technician Adam J is the best. My husband and I have both lived in Las Vegas for nearly 20 years. We have contracted with quite a few pest control companies here in town separately and now together for the past 2 years and we have NEVER had a technician as great as Adam J. Preventive Pest had scheduled for another tech to come service our home and I rescheduled the appointment to ensure Adam J would be the technician completing our service. Adam J treats our home and pets as if they are his own. He cares about doing the best job possible rather than quickly spraying and moving off to the next property. We live in a newly devolved area off of Las Vegas Blvd South and had noticed mouse droppings. Adam J came over immediately and set up mouse bait in the area we noticed the droppings as well as in the garage, in the yard, behind the hot tub, etc just as a precaution. Adam J is the only person who is not a close friend or family member that has all of the codes to access our home. I realize that part of the reason we never find a bug in our home is the solutions and procedures that are Preventive Pest control's ....but we believe that the service technician is the face of the company and we've never had the type of service or results with another company nor another technician. Update to my previous review: I have now had two services from Preventive Pest Control and I am extremely pleased with their effectiveness and customer service. Aside from scorpions, I no longer have any pest control issues in or around my home. I have learned that it can take a while to entirely eliminate a scorpion problem and after Cody visited my home yesterday with a complementary indoor spray, he gave me tips regarding how to effectively "hunt" for scorpions at night in between the bi-monthly service calls. I gave it a shot last night and it worked! I found and killed one large scorpion that was near my backdoor. I noticed it was already disabled from the Preventive's spray, but I was able to finish the job. I am happy with the progress of my pest control issues and look forward to completely eliminating my scorpion problem in the future. read more

We have used Preventive for almost 3 years. They are effective and VERY RESPONSIVE when we call. If there is an upsurge in bug activity, they come out quick enough to suit me. All their technicians are polite, willing to answer questions and seem thorough in their spraying. The product they use seems effective to me. They also provide traps that give that extra protection. Ask for them. They'll give you as many as you feel you need. Brandon was here today and gave me ideas on where I should focus as to where the criters may be nesting if we continue to see problems. This is the best pest control company you could ever use. We live adjacent to a golf course and all kinds of pests make their way toward our home. But they die before they make it into our home. We have found no other company that has a spray to kill scorpions on contact. Art is our service man and he services our home every two months, and more (at no charge) if requested. If one makes it into our home (which is rare), Art will come out and re-spray (at no cost). Art is thorough in all he does. He sprays inside and out. He makes sure I have sticky traps for inside the home and the garage (at no charge). Last year, wasps built a nest in our patio cover. Art came out at no charge, killed them all and destroyed the nest. They are the best! read more

We signed up for their bimonthly service after our friends recommended them. They were able to come out the next day and set up service. After signing up for the bimonthly plan, we had a scorpion enter our house. They came out on Monday and did another service at no charge. They were accommodating with our schedule so we could get the inside of our house sprayed. read more

Absolutely awesome! I'm always so impressed with the job they do! I even forget to unlock my back gate most of the time, and they jump it without hesitation! They're super friendly guys and I never think twice about letting them into my home! I've been late on a few payments, and they're always super accommodating. I pay $65 bi-monthly and that rate has never increased! They were recommended to me by a friend and I recommend them to everyone I know! Dustin is our regular guy, and he's awesome. The girls in the office are super friendly when I call, and if I ever need a re-service because something clearly hatched, they come out the next day or the day after without question to do a re-service (at no charge). I get 2-3 guys a month at my door offering deals for a new company and I always tell them who we are with and that we won't leave them as long as we live in Vegas.
