Horrible buyer beware. They came to spray 2 times last year. No changes i called to cancel them coming. I was not informed that i some how was in a contract. months later i received a bill for almost $500. I called to ask about this in which i basically got no answer. Now its on my credit report as of June 2014 for over 600. I have no problem paying for services that were done which was twice but they didnt hold their end up of the so called contract for what they charged me. Talking to an attorney now. read more

Wow! Horrible company! Got a call from preventive telling me Dustin was fired. First what kind of employer does that to an ex employee. Second I gave Dustin a call and he told me he quit to go on to bigger and better Things. He told me it was a great company and that I should stay with them because they do a great service. i normally don't yelp, but I just need to tell everyone about how amazing this company is. I've been a customer of them for about 1 1/2 years now. i signed up when i moved into my home, which sits right next to the desert. when i first moved in there was a spider problem. i haven't seen one since they sprayed the first time. when i do have an issue though with other creepy crawls, they come out within 24 hours. also, they are very detailed, and genuinely care how there service is. they call 5-10 mins before they show up, and are not shady what so ever. i highly recommend them to all my friends and family. read more

Had a salesman come to my home and lie through his teeth to get my business. I told him I already had pest control service, was very happy with them and were much cheaper. He went on to tell me that they weren't a licensed company with the Dept of Agriculture (which they are) and that small local companies sell out (which they are not). He also went on to tell me that the reason why I didn't have a problem with bugs was because they were the first company to spray the home. I've been the only homeowner here and they have never sprayed my home before. I couldn't believe he would make up such lies just to get my business. My neighbors also had the same problem. Sure it's a competitive business to be in but there are other ways to get someones business without LYING! How tacky! read more

I can't say enough good things about this company!!! We've used their services the past several years particularly with a scorpion infestation. They scheduled a FREE black light service to help locate which area of our yard they were coming from. Once it was confirmed it was our backyard they did a heavy spray of our entire yard and explained that getting rid of scorpions is a challenge. However, over time we've seen less and less especially since I now have them spray the inside of our home as well. What's been VERY upsetting to me is that NONE of our neighbors have a pest control service, so the darn scorpions continue coming over the walls into our yard from their back yards. Our next door neighbor has several palm trees and even though I've begged him to get a pest control service because the people renting his house won't it goes in one ear and out the other. I've even sent letters to all of my immediate neighbors telling them of the scorpion problem we're having and that many of them are coming over from their yards, but once again nothing has come of it. I've heard comments from one neighbor that he just hits them with a hammer and some others have laughed it off even though they told me that they've been stung, as well as their pets. Apparently they feel it's a big joke, but having been stung myself and TOTALLY freaked out when it happened I take this scorpion issue VERY seriously. It just goes to show how ignorant some people can be even when dealing with something as dangerous as scorpions. Listen up people!!! Scorpion stings CAN KILL especially young children and the elderly , as this was told to me by the doctor. There have been times where I continued to see scorpions a few days after Preventative did a service, but when that happened I called Preventative and spoke with Roxanne and she immediately set up a re-spray service for FREE. We've used other pest control services over the years in Vegas, but none of them compare to the level of satisfaction we receive from Preventative both with their product that really works and the excellent customer service we receive from their employees. So we moved and I called Preventive Pest Control. Sad to hear that Cody my previous technician was promoted and was sure he was not going to come out and do my house anymore. To my surprise and pleasantry, guess who showed up at my door 15 min early? You got it, Cody. He is a big boss now but of course the service of this company would do anything to make us happy. He no longer sprays houses, but had no problem spraying for us. That is what you call SERVICE!!! CUSTOMER GETTING WHAT THEY WANT. He was informative and nice as always. By far the best service ever!!!! I used this company for years and NEVER had a single complaint or problem with pests.......I made the mistake of switching because of the cute sales guy that showed up at my door with all his promises!!! Within a month I was bit on the leg by a brown recluse spider while hanging out in my backyard (something I have done for 15 yrs straight almost every night). I immediately switch back to Preventive Pest Control and have not had a single problem since!!! I learned my lesson and will NEVER switch again!! We are new to Preventitive as we were referred from a friend after we discovered two Scorpions in our home and he told us about Preventive. Our tech Victor came for our first spray and was very nice and informative. We had to get a re-spray done and i called on a short notice and rep let me know it might be a while because they were busy that day and to my surprise Mr.Victor showed up about 15 minutes later! I originally called Anderson Pest Control and scheduled my appointment for Friday (06/03) because I had so many gnats in my kitchen and bathrooms. They said Friday was the soonest available, so I said ok. Then they called me back Thursday (06/02) stating they needed to reschedule my appointment for Saturday (06/04) morning between 8-9:30am. Well 9:30am came and went and they NEVER showed up or called. I called Preventive Pest Control at 10am that Saturday (06/04) explaining my situation with the gnats and that I was on the way out the door for my daughter's volleyball game and would not be back until after 1pm. They were knocking on my door at 1:05pm the SAME day to spray and steam all of my drains to get rid of the gnats. I was very satisfied and will continue to use them in the future! They understood the pest problem with the gnats and did not make me go through the weekend with out it being fixed. Highly recommend Preventive Pest Control!!! read more

Signed up when we moved into our new home when we found a couple scorpions inside the house. Informed the pest control guy that was our main concern. They sprayed inside and outside. Found another scorpion a week and a half later, called and they said too soon to come back for one scorpion (one in the house is too many!) Another spray 1 1/2 months later and let the tech know we were finding more scorpions in the back yard. He sprayed again. Over the next 30 days found two more inside the house and 4-7 outside nightly! When the office called to let us know they were coming for our next scheduled spray, I informed them of our problem. The girl was nice but just suggested they would bring some sticky pads for the entry areas and we should spray inside the house again. The spraying was not working outside at all and sticky pads were not going to keep out all the scorpions gathering in our back yard. Went to a new company. Had to pay 60% of contract to cancel. The first night after the new company we only found one scorpion in the back yard. They had several methods they used including spraying inside the walls. Feeling much better now. read more

So let me just tell everybody who reads this that preventive pest control is the absolute WORST company I have ever dealt with. I signed up with them in 2010 because some teenager was going door to door trying to sell this so called service so I felt bad for him and signed up. Little did I know what I was getting myself into. My issue was scorpions so everything was going fine for a couple months until I noticed they were not going away and and now were getting inside my house. It seemed more than before the service. My dog got bit so enough is enough and I call them to request they come on Saturdays my day off so they can spray the inside of my house. I specifically say Saturday and they agree. So a bunch of Saturdays go by and no visits. I would come home from work on Fridays to find a note and bill on my door saying sorry we missed you but we sprayed outside and here's your bill of 70 dollars. I call back and see what's going on and I get reassurance it will not happen again. What do ya know more no shows. This time I'm furious because not only are they ignoring my Saturday request they are not even spraying my house! Both neighbors on each side of me witnessed them coming to my house, putting the bill on my door, and leaving immediately after. Not one spray!! I'm beyond upset now so I call them to cancel and he tells me to basically pound sand and I can't cancel due to my ONE year contract! I only had one more 69$ payment on my contract which I refused to pay for their horrible service so I cancelled my credit card they had on file to charge me. This was 2010. It's now 2013 and I just paid 400 dollars to a collection agency because I didn't pay 69$ for a terrible service. After I cancelled the card they just sent my 69$ to collections and let it sit until it reached 400. Absolutely the worst customer service and business ethics so I recommend not one person to ever use this company. read more

Find another company! I was a customer off and on from 2005 to 2015. They were great when they first started. Customer service was everything to them. I used them at three homes at different times. My last home I had a one year contract and used 11 months. I called and talked to them and explained I had sold my home and the new owners requested no spraying because of allergies. I was told it was fine. Since I told them three weeks before the next spray was due it did not effect their schedule. Surprise ....... I got a bill for the final spraying. Called them and explained the whole thing again..was told it was ok, their mistake. 18 months later I get a collection notice with charges plus interest. This might not be bad to some but I have a perfect credit rating. Customer service is a thing of the past and even when you try to do the right thing you cannot believe what they tell you. read more
