Walked by this place located close to our hotel on a walk. It was so jammed packed we got curious and decided to check it out. And glad we did. During our stay in NY we visited this place twice. It's a loc favorite pizza joint. It's small there are few seats inside and it's a clean. The staff were amazing and they recognized us from previous day and asked for some feedback which we gave as it all was positive. They have focaccia pizza and triangle pizza. Slices are huge. They have a unique variety of pizza and toppings. I tried the margarita with vodka penne sauce and OMG! The classic cheese was yummy as it wasn't too greasy and crust was perfect. I really wanted to try the pizza with penne pasta as a topping but didn't feel brave enough. Slices are around $4-5 but are huge. I struggled with two slices but it was too yummy to waste. Pizza is pretty good. My favorite toppings are the BBQ chicken and chicken bacon ranch. One slice will set you back $3.50-$4.50. They have other things like pasta and chicken Marsala as well. I've also tried the garlic knots and calamari. I liked the calamari but the garlic knots were just ok. If you pay by credit card, they will charge you an extra fee. So bring cash. read more

I had the chicken Stromboli and the grandma Sicilian. It was good, but average. Nothing incredible but good. The chicken Stromboli was fine. Little too much mozzarella cheese. Which you would think wouldn't ever be an issue, but it can become unwieldy when it's oozing out and over your fingers while handling. Taste factor was a little flat on the chicken, but the roll itself was nice and doughy with good bite to it. The Grandma was savory in its tomato sauce and herb seasoning. The cheese was just right here, and crust lighter and more thin than a triangle slice. Which makes sense as a Sicilian square. All in all solid. Not going to blow your mind but it will get the job done when you want decent pizza! read more

If I could leave 3 1/2 stars I would. The pizza was fine, nothing wrong with it, just so many other better places in the city based on my preferences. This was not a place that I sought out, but it was a convenience stop based on the location of my hotel. Had this pizza at an office function and it was so good that I needed to try it again. So I got the name of this place. Great pizza is hard to find so I was happy to discover they weren't far. Walked over and ordered a plain and an eggplant ricotta slice. Though tasty, the eggplant was diced so it was subtle. It should be bigger to work with the ricotta which is whipped and fluffy. The plain cheese was ok. Busy place with some space for seating. After paying. Don't discard your receipt because they call your order by number. Soooo good I came here for a couple slices for dinner even though I could have gone anywhere courtesy of my expense account. I got a classic cheese and a spinach & artichoke - all good quality ingredients and the crust should have a song written about it LOL. Lots of options to choose from starting with traditional thin, Detroit style or focaccia crust and toppings ranging from the usual suspects to chorizo, bacon and Mac & cheese. Previti is one of my go-to spots when I'm at work for lunch. I appreciate their variety in ready-to-heat slices. I've had their buffalo chicken, spinach and artichoke, margarita, meat lovers, pepperoni and cheese slices. All very good! I will say though, if you are an opponent of grease you may need to pat down your slice with a napkin to cut the calories. The restaurant isn't exactly a hole in the wall but it does get pretty crowded during lunch time and there's an ambiance of MTV in there - that is, a few screens playing either music videos or that time when SVU shot an episode at one of their establishments. Service is pretty good and the slices come out pretty quickly. They also have good strombolis. I recommend Previti if you're looking a good slice to eat! read more

I always go by this place as it is right by my job. This place is kinda like a hole in the wall. It's always quite busy, though. I saw a promotional sign for 2 cheese slices and a drink for $7, which is a steal in nyc. My coworkers have gone here prior and said it was fairly good pizza. I had to try it as I was in the mood for it. It wasn't anything amazing, but good for on the go slices. They have a variety of slices. I'll probably go back to try their garlic knots and other items off the menu. Btw, I tried to claim the check-in offer of one of the knots, and there was none that day, so I saved it and will try again. read more

I love a good pizza and I was looking for a lunch spot with my sister. There was seating available so it was perfect for us. I saw that their menu didn't match with what was available so I almost didn't order the Chicago deep dish. My sister saw that it had just come out of the oven and made the order for the both us. i always wanted to try that type of pizza and didn't disappoint. It was so cheesy and hot, just the way I like it. What did disappoint is that they didn't honor the free order of garlic knots that they offer in Yelp when you check-in. I called to order a pickup for the next day. I had to argue with the nasty girl to take my order because you can NOT order online. The whole menu does not come up in online ordering. They also had several types of oils to pour on your pizza, ranging from chile pepper infused, to basil infused. They also had parsley to sprinkle on from a shaker. Not often seen. I got three slices, a classic focaccia, the burrata pizza, and a focaccia chicken bacon ranch. Interesting slices run about $4.59-$5.05. It came to about $15. Every slice was super fresh. The classic was like a typical grandma slice. The burrata slice had a giant slice of mozzarella on it, which was really cool and attracted me to trying it, but was a rather hard slice to eat without using utensils. I actually wouldn't necessarily get it again. The winner in this batch was the chicken bacon ranch. Crispy bacon, tender chicken, and perfectly drizzled ranch. I'd come back for sure. read more

Pizza Pizza! I often will hit up Previti during my lunch hour. It's a nice carb-loaded treat from my regular visits to various salad establishments in the area. My favorite slice is their spinach and artichoke. I often will get a pepperoni or pepperoni and sausage slice as well. And of course I never forget to check-in on Yelp for my free garlic knot - the garlic knots are so good and come with a side of marinara sauce. Once or twice I've also ordered a mini cannoli. They have a lunch deal for two slices of cheese and a canned soda for $6. I'm not much for cheese pizza (I need toppings) so I've never taken advantage of this offer, but it's definitely a great deal. Their pizza flavors are extensive including regular slices and focaccia slices in a number of options. They also have salads, sandwiches, stromboli, calzoni, other sides and desserts. Lots to choose from and tasty pizza so it's a lunch win for me. read more

I asked for two cheese slices, and they gave me the cheese special which seems like a deal because it comes with a free soda, and the cashier said "oh the soda is free." Come here to satiate my pizza craving for lunch on weekdays. Place is always packed during weekday lunch hours and they manage to keep the line moving (pay first, wait, grab soda, season pizza, leave) pretty smoothly. Not much room for seating, but yeah since this is one of the better pizza places around midtown it will have to do. The lunch combo of $6 for 2 slices and the coke is typically what I get. The oil drips right off the pizza, and I constantly have to tap it against the card board box or a napkin to get rid of this excess orange-ey, yellowish gunk. Stars: While the Stars is comparable to all pizza places I have been to, I will qualify this as one of the better pizza places in the midtown area. As such if only comparing this pizza to places in midtown, it would be 3 stars. Unfortunately, there just isn't much good pizza around work. read more

Stopped in here for a quick bite and pleasantly surprised by the artichoke slice. I think the pizza here is definitely on the more oily side. I had the artichoke slice, which was quite decadent. The white sauce base was very rich and had a slight truffle taste. Very very good. They didn't hold back on the toppings. My boyfriend had the pepperoni sausage and the chicken ricotta. The pepperoni sausage was just average. The chicken ricotta was definitely the winner! It tasted exactly like chicken parm. If you closed your eyes, you wouldn't know it was pizza! So so so good. Visiting NYC for the 3rd time in a span of 3 months for doctors appointments means more food adventures! My BF & I were craving pizza after my appointment ended, so what do we do? Pull out our phones to YELP: What's the closest, highest rated, AND most reviewed pizza place nearby? Previti was one of the top results, so why not right? My BF & I decided to try a slice of the Grandma's Sicilian and the Hawaiian. We knew that we were going to eat more right after because it wouldn't be a food adventure if we stuffed our faces at one place, so we paced ourselves with just 2 slices nom sayin'. The Grandma's slice reminded me of Margherita pizza with it's own spin to it, such as the shredded cheese instead of sliced and it being a thin-crust Sicilian style pizza. The Hawaiian tasted decent. The pineapples that make the pizza Hawaiian however, didn't taste strong enough. All in all, the pizza slices here were pretty good.
